Seriously, I’d like to say an enormous thank you to whoever took the time to make this documentary. I seriously believe “Out of the Blue” to be one of the most underrated albums released in the 1970s, the ideas that Gene offers on his debut album are so beautiful and eclectic, such consistently brilliant and patient compositions; it deserves so much more recognition. Beautifully arranged, flawlessly performed, with ambitious lyrics and an absolutely unmatched atmosphere. The best way I can describe the album comes from someone else’s review of it; that it’s like “futuristic nostalgia.” Incredibly accurate. If Blue Gene or anyone who is close to him sees this, I’d like to say that despite the fact that I’m a young guy who was not alive for the 20th century, let alone the 70s, I have an enormous connection to this album and I can only hope that some of its charm and brilliance has rubbed off on me. I hope I can share this album with a spouse or my children someday far off in the future and carry on this wonderful album’s legacy. Thank you Blue Gene!
Thanks Cameron! Hope you enjoy the film. After I collect different comments and reviews, I'll batch them up and send them to "Blue" Gene. Appreciate you checking the film and diving into "Blue" Gene's music. There is so much to love!
Extended interviews from the film have been collected in this book. Second edition of 100 copies. ongoingbox.bandcamp.com/merch/hsob073-just-for-the-record-conversations-with-and-about-blue-gene-tyranny-book-2
It's a live version of "Without Warning" from the 3xLP/CD "Trust in Rock" album that Unseen World released a few years back. Awesome record!! unseenworlds.com/products/trust-in-rock

RIP, Gene. This wonderful film is a lovely tribute to an American original who created beautiful, meaningful works of art.
Fun seeing Sam Ashley at the end of this trailer.
