I found one today 🎉 at a yard sale.. I saw a 288 case and inside was a 1950 242C nickel bottom…😊😊😊
@@patrickhall3878 Sweet! Love it when that happens!
You did a great job restoring your lantern 🏮. You were able to see the “diamond in the rough” make it sparkle! Outstanding job sir!! The Old Army Scout…
Thank you! This particular lantern is probably the most satisfying project I've taken on since I began collecting. Take care and God bless!
I just did this to a 202 professional, big fun... nice work..
Yep, fun stuff! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
You bet! Thanks for watching!
I've still got my dad's that he bought brand new. Now I'm gonna have to play with it. Thanks.
You’re welcome! And thank you for stopping by!
Just sand and repaint the top buff out the bottom and your goldem beautiful lantern.Coleman would be proud.
Paint won't hold up on the hat to much heat needs to be re coted in porcelain like the factory used
Very Nice. I love my 242. But ya its a fire launcher if not carefull. Love the Nickel font with the green.
It’s my first and considering the lengths I had to go to bring her back she’s like my wife, a keeper!
We're all a full time project. Lol. Time and effort and we all shine bright
Nice work Robert , beautiful lantern
Dang looks beautiful
Thanks, Steve! It's my first 242, wasn't sure it could be revived. Very happy to get her running!
@@Firencoffee I love 242 , they are special, your looks amazing.
Did you repaint the lid?
The ventilators are coated with porcelain. Paint would just burn off once you light the lantern
