I have a different opinion about our countrymen outside India. This opinion could be different than others, still I found Indians staying outside consider us a duffer and always try to make fool out of us. So, always be careful of Indians particularly NRI guys! The moment one steps outside the country he/sh must be 100% alert. Met one Punjabi guy in Indra square last November, he guessed instantly that we are Indians, though we were chatting in Tamil. When he introduced himself I automatically told him in Punjabi that he must be from Faizabad (Pakistan)! He asked me where I put up (standard nagging curiosity found among Indians asking personal questions), I told him that I am staying in Royal Thai Navy gust house and the accompanying gentleman is a commando deputed to me as my body guard. He simply disappeared into thin air! Thanks Varun for this nice video! Good luck.

I was a Couchsurfing host and guest since 2013. I had 78 all positive reviews. Wasn't even using Cs at the time. And just had my account deactivated two days ago. No explanation. No due process. Nothing. Is this what you want to invest your time and years into?
The only reason I can even conceive was that a month before I had wrote 20 surfers living in Sweden and asked if the news about immigration we were hearing was true or over blown #fakenews. Nearly everyone responded that it was over exaggerated, but accurate.
Other than that, the last 5 years is gone. Just like that.
    Never again!
Best part? I remember a surfer I stayed with was BiSexual and totally came on to me and was touching my body and genitals and I actually left early and stayed in a hostel. I wrote CS and left a review reflecting my experience and his account was never removed.
So.... Sexual assault is OK, but not political information sharing.

Brother you're doing this great work! May be next time you should ask airlines staff to get you upgrade to business class ticket. If you tell them about your work in few seconds, may they will be pleased and let you upgrade your ticket for free. You can make a humble request they won't refuse And i did this in past, work twice in last 6 times!

Yes that passport problem is very annoying, every time they have to punch the details manually for me, a scan takes a few seconds whereas manually it takes minutes.
And the worst part is that when i went to the passport office to issue a new and we'll printed passport they said It will only be done if the passport is expiring or there is some changes to be made in the details of the passport.
I have to live with this passport for 10 years now, which is ridiculous.

Man o Man i faced a similar Bad Experience with my Couch-surfer in Eastern Europe Solo Trip. Trip was to Bratislava, Vienna & Budapest. I was a student then and was on a tight budget, so no backup plans, in Bratislava i had to roam around the city till 10 PM and then meet my host at around 10:30 or 11 PM, who then left me in the room since he was a nightclub photographer. Vienna host was excellent he even picked me up. Budapest the host didn't even respond and i searched his house like you and somehow reached his place and he was like who are you? Even here i had to roam around the city the whole day to reach his place at around 8 PM or so
