No! I was driving home and approached a transport truck jackknifed around a left hand turn. Two firetrucks racing behind me, lights and sirens blaring up the two lanes so I was forced behind the truck. Light changed to green after they left but I could not back up cause of traffick behind us. Then the trucker started to back into my car. I kaidvon tge horn, people ran up to tell him to stop and the only thing he saw was my son's arm frantically waving out his window. Damaged my car and cop said we were lucky to be alive

I dont know the laws in USA, but here in Europe in my country there is a law which allows firefighters ( ambulances, police..) to push away blocking vehicle, in fact to crash them against the wall if they need etc. Best part - owner of the blocking vehicle will be paying for eventual damage. Not he first responders.

No, in Germany, the person who caused the damage must pay, regardless of whether it's the fire department, police, or emergency services.
Furthermore, breaking a window is considered property damage; it will be reported, and the person responsible must pay.
It's easy to remember: the person responsible ALWAYS pays.

Mark it up some more and maybe people will be less willing to hinder them.

Every single car that blocks a firetruck, you got their license on tape. Turn it into the police and there should be a minimum $2000 fine. and if the fire truck has to hit you to get by, your insurance pays for both damages.

In the UK, in London and some other cities, we have bus lanes which ordinary vehicles aren't allowed to enter. Many are under CCTV surveillance. If you pull into one of these bus lanes to let an emergency vehicle pass you receive an automatic fine.

Another annoying thing is when people tailgate emergency vehicles to get through lights and traffic faster. But then we have to cancel responding to our call or slow down and discontinue lights/sirens just to protect the tailgaters even if it means our patient will have to wait.

I remember when we used to ride on the tail board of the pumper we had a lady tailgating us she was three feet away I tossed a spanner wrench at her windshield she called the highway patrol but since it was a federal reservation she got arrested charged with 5 counts of assault on federal employees and numerous other charges oh and she had to replace the spanner this all happened in route to a car accident on Tyndall AFB 1988

The fire department should start taking peoples license plates numbers down ❗️and find them hundreds of dollars ❗️for blocking the emergency that the fire trucks are called for 👍

As being a volunteer firefighter, I can always understand the frustration when people do this, and at 4:15 when they started pushing the car, it's even more understandable when it's an active structure fire or even a brush fire. Even a standard residential alarm is not worth the wait because it could potentially be something worse.

So far, this is the best channel for these types of videos. Don't change how you do it. The voice is good tone and good volume. You talk just the right amount of time. You also show more of one predicament before you switch to another predicament. Thank you. This was my first video by you. I hope i like a lot more.

That made me remember something that happened here in the city where I live, drug dealers received the Firefighters with bullets when they went to answer a call to deal with a fire in the slums, the firefighters that same day, informed that they wont answer to calls in the slums anymore, the drug dealer was literally begging them to help them with the fires the next day

Fire trucks should have sirens that can hit a decibel that pierces the eardrums of these protesters, or decibels that amplifies the sound of a massive train or ship horns that will scare these protesters.

I was a volunteer fireman in a town with two fire companies. In this town there is one particularly narrow street. On one occasion, both companies were using that same street to reach a fire. A worthy citizen, however, with his car, blocked the end of the street like a cork in a bottle, and saw no reason why he should back up. It took rather a bit of convincing to finally get him to permit us to proceed. (4 trucks and an ambulance)

These are what need to happen to these people. First violation, $5,000 US value fine. Second violation, automatic and permanent license ban. Third violation or already on suspended license, 5 years prison and permanent denial of emergency services. Your life is never more important than anyone else's.

6-10 years ago, I received a copy of the bill my city received for a standard pumper truck because my former neighbor across the street was a firefighter. He moved away and I had no idea where he went. The bill was for about $496,800.

I have never seen so many disgusting people when it comes to FD or PD with their lights and sirens on. But if we're their house it becomes a different story.
