I am obsessed with tracking mine. I can't wait to get it. It's my first e-ink tablet and I am excited that I found such a great product.
It's a great team behind the product and the community on Reddit is really helpful.
It’s like Christmas twice in one week ;)
I was doing the same! I have used it everyday since receiving it!
@@ladyteka2430 I'm about to be the same.
Interesting comment about the writing feel. I did eventually buy the Air 3C. Then returned it, for that exact reason (and the fact that it is as heavy as a brick). I don't want the device to feel like I'm writing on a dry erase board.
I used it for a week, wrote copiously in the Boox, then ate the $100 of shipping and restocking fees returning it, and now wait for the A5X2. We'll see. Maybe none of them are good enough.
The new device is always on the right with that light spot on the screen. In every single video i watched. ;)
Good call. I need to figure out a way to make it not glare on the devices. New homework assigned.
Curious to know if you tried writing with the titanium nib on the new supernote? Trying to understand how does it compare to supernote pen in terms of feel and tip size and whether if I can bypass buying the supernote pen with the a6x2 and instead use Lamy EMR pen with titanium nib? Thanks
Hey! I just biught the ReeYear titanium tips for my Lamy and very shortly I can tell you you can get them instead of the HOM2 pen: the writing feel is very, very similar. For the difference in money the Lamy+Titanium tips is the best bang for the bucks, also considering that if you need a softer writing tool you can use Lamy or similar tips, getting a 2 in 1 pen at half the price of the HOM2. I hope this helps you. Enjoy
@@monochromios super helpful, thank you!
Ratta has advised against using titanium nibs because in their testing it wore down and scratched the screen eventually, but I've seen many people report using one for months with no problems
Looks like they went back to the original pen box, yeah. I didn’t like to new packaging. I agree, they did great with the software, I didn’t like the writing experience.
I think the fact that it zooms in is both a blessing and a curse. Your handwriting would appear smaller if you write in landscape and view in portrait
At least the reMarkable keeps the same scaling and gives you more margins, but for some users, might be more distracting I guess
Big enough to take notes on?
Hey there, I recently answered your question on the Q&A Livestream: ruclips.net/user/livercsNvKnDA08?feature=share
Can you search handwritten text or you do you need to use keywords?
You can.
@@t0dd000 cool. How? Is it in the manual somewhere. I was under the impression that you could only search by keyword.
@@AlanHyman you can only search handwriting that has been written in real-time recognition type notes, so you need to select that option when creating a new note
@@rescueferret8834 Could you explain what you mean by "that has been written in real-time recognition type notes" as I have not yet bought any of these devices.
So 4GB ram but no google play and not even a web browser?!
There is a market for devices without features like that
If this I what you are looking for, then Boox is for you.
@@BrandonKBoswell Of all the eReader/NoteTakers you have used which is your personal favorite?
Unbelievable. Fumbling through even auto-rotate and clumbsy, glitchy refresh scrolling in 2024. Maybe in another 10 years, we'll look back and laugh at what we were willing to put up with for $$$...same way I praised the Atari 2600 as a kid.
Can anyone help me understand and explain why more people are buying this product ?
Honestly, i don't really understand why people buy this . We have a beautiful ipad device which can do so beautiful writing with colors , can write on top of pdfs etc and has beautiful apps for notes taking and also very smooth to work with and paperlike screen protecter gives a feel writing of paper as well.
No idea why people like this black and white board .
Most people say it helps in distraction free works, paper feel etc , But i wonder we all are adults are smart enough to put in focus mode and work in ipad for a focused writing & paperlike protecter already gives a feel of paper.
No idea why purchase extra devices spending extra money when 1 device can do all the works.
It’s a legitimate question.
For me the experience of writing on the iPad is an obstacle to doing so which has to be overcome to get some writing done.
On the other hand, writing on a good e-ink tablet is an inducement to do so.
If I am trying to get something done, i need as few obstacles as possible.
Also, the brightness of the iPad is another obstacle whereas looking at the e-ink tablet does not need blue light blocking glasses and i can do it for longer.
I do use freeform on iPad for note consolidation and review as the colours and textures really help, so the is a place for both. If i could keep one though, it would be the iPad!
Because it's simple and lacks a lot of features that an ipad would have. Less is more
@@davidr1431 Thanks a lot for sharing in such detail. Was very helpful 👍

Some people prefer e-ink vs. iPad display to lessen eyestrain and longer battery life. Consider how people have e-ink readers such as the Kindle or Kobo. The Supernote is a combination of a larger display e-ink reader and a writing note taking device. I think you have to physically try the Supernote writing experience to see how similar/different it is to an iPad with a writing screen protector. Most Supernote users would say that it comes closer to the natural pen on surface feel, especially with their newer screen protector and custom pens. Supernote as a company also does a great job supporting their past products and integrating features of interest from the community. So the user experience is arguably a more tailored, natural note taking one, with the benefits of digitization of notes.
