Hi Enzo, awesome work! Do you think blender is a good software to render 3D coat objects? I heard other softwares like octane or keyshot can handle better high poly models.
Thanks! yes Blender can render 3D coat objects, but you need to drastically reduce the poly amount. Indeed, octane and keyshot are really powerfull softwares, I use Blender because it's free though :)
@@enzominarro2008 Thank you. I am learning blender for a while and I just discovered 3D coat and I think is awesome how easy you can model and apply textures. I will definetly try it, I am a bit scared about the rendering time because my pc is not so powerfull, and also looks like cycles does not support my rx 580.
Amazing! This may just be a personal opinion but not to mention most of it was from blender. I agree to the workflow I always thought of using specialized software like Marvelous Designer.

Hi Adrian thank you! I import the model in Blender as OBJ file, then I remesh it using the decimate modifier to reduce the poly-amount and keep Blender from freezing :)

great work! But. man... answer my `life's question`, it's super cool this technique since we have a lot of time to make it. At the end of the day, it seems if there's only a simple 3d model which you can paint over and apply textures it will be enough for concept art. So far,I haven't done 3D blocking by myself proffessionally, but I know many people in the Industry does, especially when it comes to work on realistic images for video games or live action movies. Then it depends of the amount of time you are allowed to spend on a concept, and the type of image of course (sometimes you don't even need the 3D at all).
