To explain why Jin woos speech made a difference sense I’m not sure it’s ever specifically explained but Jin woo can only force weaker things to become his shadow soldiers if there stronger tho whatever it is can resist being made Jin woos shadow soldier so Igris was actively refusing to join Jin woo those first 2 times it wasn’t the system stopping him from reviving igris it was igris himself being strong enough to refuse Jin woos control but then Jin woo gave that speech to igris which made igris decide to willingly fall under Jin woos command if Jin woo hadn’t convinced igris he could have just resisted again and jin woo would have failed to get him but you could say through the fight and Jin woos speech he proved himself to igris enough that igris decided he was worth serving the system isn’t what decides if something becomes his soldier it’s more based on jin woos strength compared to whatever he’s trying to revive and how willing that thing is to become his soldier so think of it like this there’s 2 ways something can come under jin woos command either he’s strong enough to force said thing to submit and join him or he’s able to convince whatever he’s bringing back to join him willingly which is what he’d have to do for things that are way stronger and can’t be forced although with things that are stronger and try to resist him there is a small chance he could force them to submit but it’s very difficult like what happened with igris and becomes a lot easier depending on how willing that thing is last thing if your wondering how igris and other things he tries to revive hear what he’s saying to them I always just used the head canon that it’s because of his shadow monarch class and it lets him talk to thing he’s trying to revive at least that’s how I reason it out okay sorry for the stupid fuckin long comment I have a problem with ranting and not stopping if you actually read through this stupid long explanation of how reviving soldiers works god damn I’m surprised and thanks can’t wait to see your guys reaction to next season hopefully later this year it’s gonna be so damn good and won’t slow down on the epic moments at all if ya don’t know it already has a teaser trailer

People often misunderstand the true meaning of the title "Solo Leveling". It doesn't mean that he always fights alone. It means that he always LEVELS alone, because he is the only hunter with the ABILITY to level up his powers. The most accurate translation of the title I have found is "Only I Level Up" which while not sounding nearly as cool, does give a much better explanation of the central theme of the story.
Sung Drip Woo is almost done with hoodies, only gets better from here on out. Season 2 confirmed for later this year

I don’t blame y’all for forgetting the 3rd raid was said in the first episode to be 3 years ago from when the double dungeon happens and Jin woo gets his ability to level up
Yeah this was the point is the manwha I started really enjoying it. It’s cool that the job was his weakest attribute. You would think with typical necromancers (like the mages this episode) they’re strong at summoning but weak up close and personal. Necromancer being his job just makes him insanely skilled in all fields now
Gotta love that bit of Dark Aria we got this episode.

@@BrothersYeo Speaking simply from a quantity standpoint. Throughout this season there weren’t very many characters or beasts on screen at the same time till the last 2 episodes really.
Trying to be vague to avoid spoilers but based on what you saw in this episode they are going to have a lot of work to do each episode going forward.

The dungeons started spawning suddenly around the world and at the same time people started awakening abilities-weird coincidence i guess
When an S-rank dungeon spawned in Jeju Island, a raid was formed on it to clear it before it breaks, but it was unsuccessful, after that the dungeon broke (since they were unable to clear it in a certain time limit) and the monsters (which were ants- the strongest and deadliest insect type monster) came out of the dungeon. People were evacuated and that island was left for the monsters. But what we saw in the end there was that the ant had wings, so they are evolving slowly, and over time Hunter Choi got worried that those monsters might be able to fly over and come to the mainland from the island
It's given that the Main team of A1 Pictures will do the next season. And looking at its overwhelming success its kinda confirmed that Aniplex will increase the budget without a doubt.which means A1 pictures Mainteam+ popular freelancers. Next season is gonna be a 💣💣🤯

Should have connected the Mage summoning earlier? He couldn't he hadn't leveled his Intelligence yet remember, so he's still dumb.
Intelligence has nothing to do with real life Intelligence, even the light novel specifically mentions this, on multiple occasions

@TwistedSynn Intelligence was always about mana capacity and control. The more his Intelligence rises, the more control he has over mana as a whole. He's already plenty clever, but intelligence in this sense never translated to the official definition. Hope that clears things up a bit
I'm sure this is not a popular opinion (the downvote button is there for a reason I suppose) but I'm kind of disappointed in this last 2 episodes.
Don't get me wrong, they are good ones all together, and I have absolutely nothing against them ... at least on the visual side. It's simply gorgeous.
It's just 2 things that annoyed me.
1st, as usual the fight is constantly interrupted by side characters' useless moments. Although I like how the series found time to put slow episodes to have an uneven pacing which make the good moments stands out, the series also made an habit to break the rhythm of fights due that with redundant information or simply useless one.
2nd reason and the most detrimental in my opinion is those last 2 episodes, depsite having such a perfect fights against Igris, and the famous Arise catchphrase being finally rleased) there was no original music, let alone a very impactful one (or could have been the opposite with complete silence on crucial moments). Based on that, the 2nd episode with the "praising" song during the massacre, or the 6th episode slaughter with the Dark Aria theme in the background had more impact toi me. I will absolutely remember that Igris fight for sure, but not with as much impact as the other 2 scenes mentioned earlier despite it being the climax of the season.

The "Arise" word was so... disappointing. I thought it was going to be more ominous. And the shadow soldiers look mid at best. Hope they get better in the next seasons.
