Oh my gah... I mistook the 1 million yen for 100 million yen when translating. I kept hearing the holomems saying "one hundred" in English, so I mixed it up Hyakku-man. Thank you for everyone pointing this out in the comments! I will double check next time. Gomenasorry...
Man, you can really feel how relieved everyone is when Subaru comes in to help. Subaru's English isn't actually that much better than theirs, she's just being more decisive and barging through the conversation with confidence. That's the way!
Love in the background Korone and Kanata are doing some kind of gag. Can't _stand_ that gag xD Nerissa learned the hard way not to mess with the _adoughrable_ baker family
Noticed on a stream a while ago with one of the EN members where she was listening and translating to Japanese ... she understands a lot more than she speaks. Her English VOCABULARY is surprisingly good even if her grammar's a bit broken.
@@Rio..o7.. yes but you dont say 1 million as [one hundred] [ten thousand].. english got a SPECIFIC word for 3 zeros. jp got a specific word for 4 zeros

I'm not sure why the Metrics of the Yen are the way they are... They seperate their Denotations (where they shorten for ease of reading) at 100, then at 1,000,000: given how Payment for jobs generally starts at a Minimum of 100 Yen, I understand the first split in Denotation; but then they wait until one accumulates 10000 of those 100-Yen Notes before shifting to a new Denotation, the Hyakkuman (Ten-Thousand-Hundred, or Million-Yen) Note; the English Metrics System seperates in clean powers of 1000, so this drastic jump in denotation confuses me - I'm certain there's a Cultural reason for it, just not in the mood to go digging into Google for the Answer right now...
Also, there's no Inflation involved, Mio intentionally added an extra 0 to the Invoice, seeing someone gullible enough to Pay it (or get Someone Else to Pay it)...
@@Nusutto I'm aware of that, but figured the seperation would've originated from how Payment worked over there. Since the Mistranslation in the video was about payment, I just used that for ease of explanation...
Surprised to see so many commentors not know that languages adopting Algebraic number systems separate units in groups of 3 while those in the sinosphere do so in groups of 4. Then again i didnt find an english term for the concept i was taught in middle school (三位分节法 and 四位分节法) so ig only those who group by 4 are very aware of this

isn't "Kyou chotto EN ga abare tsugitte" mean "Today EN (members) are getting a little out of control/becoming a little too wild" ? I know 暴れ (Abare) mean rampage, riot, go wild, berserk
Hmm, I think I heard her say "Kyou chotto ie (家) ga abare tsugitte": "Things were getting a little out of control back at home" or (had a lot of hard work to do at home). Had to replay that part several times to hear it but yeah, I think I can hear her say "EN" not "ie". So you're right, it's more like "Today EN members are getting a little out of control"

100 Million kinda made it more funny with the Breadmafia extorting money out of her
$6.9k USD …
First rule of the Bakery Family: don't stand on that
sorry wwww 😂
don’t stand on that
Sorry. Sorry.
Officer Subaru is busy trying to wrangle her Police forces to chase the gangs, unaware that the Mio Mafia has set up shop in the bakery.
nerissa please shut up LMAO
new subaru classic just dropped
This is exactly how people get scammed in Shinjuku but us usually not at the bread shop to be fair
I was confused for a minute which one was Nerissa because Miosha went full-on American with the attire.
Subaru is fucking STRESSED. And not the gameplay way.

Nerissa learned the hard way not to mess with the _adoughrable_ baker family
Okay but how did Korone instantly know the word for loan in english
Western sitcoms and movies? She's been known to watch a lot of them
Because loan(ローン) is often used in Japan as a katakana word
Miosha also knew the word and it's because they're from the Dorobo Kensetsu. 😂

LOL Poor Nerissa (in more than one way xD) what a fun interaction LMAO.
It's the Role play, the bakery is mafia
One can literally see Nerissa dying inside by discovering the price of her purchases.😂
Most of you won't know this, but this reminds me of the skit from Victor Borge stopping everything because the opera singer was leaning on his piano.
Nerissa thought she could walk out the door of a business that sells goods using... white powder
it's daijokay!
This is too good, nice work translating!!
5:24 duck pressure TSKR
korone english still the best after all these years.
Korone, probably: "Nothing's more stronger than (bread) family."
Hyaku Man is 1 million.
How about Hyaku woman?
Subaru is a good friend.
Kanata sure has a lot of Numba One Favorites, it’s like the Crumbl Cookie kids
Best part about nerissa not knowing much Japanese is we get to hear more jp speaking English
Omg
I didn't know Nerissa is playing in the server
Now I need check some VODs
LMAO this is perfect
I am grateful for Mio English 🙏
Hyakku-man is 1 million, not 100 million. 万 is four zeroes and there's no direct english equivalent.
10000-ten thousand?
@@Rio..o7.. yes but you dont say 1 million as [one hundred] [ten thousand]..

What is Rissa doing with the JPs ?
Her best
This arc of Baking Bread kept escalating eh?
its 1 mil, hyaku mean hundred, and man means 10 thousand, so, a hundred 10 thousand for 1 mil
When they started offerring her a bunch of stuff, I thought, I've seen this before, she either gonna lose money or mugged for money lol
Atleast she wasnt sent to fish tuna lol
WOW, I knew that the yen's value has gone down the drain, but 100 million for 10 bread and 10 water?? That's Venezuela-level!
As a Venezuelan, I am happy my country is being represented like this, truly hololive is worldwide
¥50k per water and bread. $349USD Per. Damn.
1m yen ≈ $7k not 100m yen ≈ $700k but same diff lol
Hyaku man = 100x10000 = 1 million
İs this hyper enflasyon or something else 🤣
oh is THAT why they kept starting to say "one hundred" and then stopping?

Just rename the gen to Hololive SCAMMERS already
Actually on balance that is pretty reasonable tbh, given how much the hospital bill usually runs
Nerissa so bullyable
Hyakuman is 1m not 100m
Melons are better than bread. (Making a corny joke)
