His books Traitor King and another on the Mountbattens can be found covered on the Cheere Denise channel.
Mr Lownie gets a real kick out of following her doing his books.
He & I have a young SM friendship after I told him he’d built up quite a fan base via Cheere’s channel.
I contacted him because Lady Colin Campbell was extremely rude, in fact in my opinion she was threatening & bullying to a young mum & teacher in the US - a totally different time zone- when Lady C wanted certain assurances by a certain time when she was covering one of her books. A most unpleasant exchange & sadly now taken down understandabley.
More recent interviews go into the difficulty this historian had getting information from the Royal Archives so a lot came via the USA.

Everybody else is bringing up these royal children, and rich people's children, except their own parents: the parents are too busy having sexual affairs: no time for their children.
So other people: staff have access 24/7 to these innocent and unprotected royal children:
These children are targets for paedophiles: who are in the service of their employers.
You see how ridiculous this life style is detrimental to their children, it destroys them.

These people were really appalling self entitled money grabbers. They have sad parallels with a self-exiled royal couple today who seem to be grabbing onto any thing they can to remain relevant.

Can i ask you a question sir? You mentioned that churchill threatened Edward with a court Marshall was it ever discussed bringing treason charges against the duke? Im not British im an American lawyer and he could easily be charged with conspiracy to commit treason which just in my country carries the possibility from 25 year to death depending upon the degree. The fact that he was given 21,000 pounds a year and 2 post government jobs is just maddening im well as king or queen you can not be prosecuted but as a duke i believe treason laws can still apply

having affairs with married women was what men always did and still do and in the days before the pill there was more reason to sleep with married women. first, if there is a pregnancy, there is no scandal, she is married and the child is supposed to be her husband's. secondly, since she is married, there is no chance of her expecting the guy to marry her since she already is married and up to the 1970's divorce was difficult to get and socially frowned on.

Both Queen Elizabeth’s sisters in law were married to high ranking SS officers. If we insist on having a German royal family, what do we expect! This thesis of this talk is one sided, what about the Nazi saluting royal family at home.

I am in no way defending Edward but had a very cold upbringing with no emotional nurturing from his parents. I do think that after his resignation from the monarchy his behavior became a quest to remain important and relevant on the national stage. This attention seeking behavior left him wide open for Nazi manipulation. Edward’s visit and collaborations with Germany were fueled from this behavior. Having been made irrelevant through his British family, he now placed his new German acceptance over his position as a British citizen and military officer. And sadly he lacked the common sense and intelligence to realize why this behavior, especially during war time, was so wrong.

I don't understand why people say the Duke of Windsor would have been a puppet king to the Nazis. People always comment on how England might have been "a very different country" if he had remained on the throne. How could this have happened if the Monarchy has no power to do anything but be a figurehead? The Prime Minister wouldn't have had a say in it? The British Parliament wouldn't have had a say? The British subjects wouldn't have had a say? The British military wouldn't have had a say? MI5 wouldn't have had a say?

@@andyroo9381 : Just and merely as an aside [ ipso facto for what it is worth ], there is no shortage of women who think and not short of fierceness either [ ! ] that they should be in the driver’s seat anyway!
But humour apart, your point as to ´who are we to say who or what is right? ´ which is not an impertinent point, except that the greater part of our existence is affected by what others do to further their belief of what must, should, even ought, to be done in reaction to - either in support of or in opposition to - mandatory decisions being taken in law by others with power to do so, which are bound to change our individual and collective lives for better or worse according to our perhaps limited thoughts and knowledge on the issues.
In democracies, in principle the mass of population is encouraged to show and voice their interest through elected representatives to achieve a consensus of national or collective will,it being accepted that there will be winners and losers, and hopefully that majority opinion will err on the side of reason and with decent respect and consideration of those in disagreement.
But then along comes the Trojan horse called ´efficiency’ one half of which derides ´democracy’ as rank bullshit and tantamount to decisions being taken by the weak and indecisive and self-interested under the guise of multi-meaning words mouthed by people looking over the shoulders most of the time and the other Trojan half by others deeming that only the bottom half of the intelligent mass should be given the right to vote and that they must all vote in favour of whatever their leader proposes.
The Trojan Horse is Totalitarian Uniformity whose credo is Might is Right and that in ´Realpolitik’ terms only fools believe the opposing ideal of Right being Might ie if not today then ´eventually’ and hopefully…all being well, ha ha, and too bad if it ain’t ´cos I’m all right I have more money and a good job, and for you mate ´hard cheese’ …
The moral of which is that if we take no interest others will, and they may be right or they may be wrong and that given an honest chance we have only ourselves to blame if we get it wrong and have to pay the price for our lack of will and interest and fair-minded but not foolish determination to hear and debate matters out face to face over the table of decent discussion. We stand at least to improve our knowledge and learn something!
