    Your channel is awesome. New subscriber. I can't believe you only have 102 subscribers. You should have 100,000! The waterfall is magnificent. Just curious would you say it's located in the outback of nanaimo? I won't be trying to find it, don't go to far off the beaten path.

      Oh wow such kind words. Thank you so much for them. And also thank you very much for the sub. I love making videos and try to put my heart into them so hopefully with weekly releasing the channel will grow a little quicker. It is not located in the outback of Nanaimo nope. There's kind of some clues in the video as to where it is.

    How deep is the Taylor river, where you swam?

    • @kevinisfallingdown
      @kevinisfallingdown  Год назад

      Tough to tell as I didn't dive at all but the river bed seemed to vary in depth. I would guess between 10 to 20 feet in some spots and more shallow in others

      @@kevinisfallingdown how deep was the river in and around the rope swing vicinity, shown in the video?

      @kevinisfallingdown  Год назад

      @ysbroly961 I would guess around 10 to 15 feet?.... I'm really not too great at judging depth of water though. I could be way off. 😶‍🌫️

      Hey Cody. I'm glad you could find some value in giving my videos your time. I appreciate the comment and hope you end up having a solid time on Van Isle. I'm kevin_is_falling_down on instagram if you had any questions regarding safety or preparation.

      No problem man! Always love helping RUclips creators, we enjoyed getting baked and doing some research, came across your channel, helped alot! Were starting at Nanaimo and working our way to Ucluelet & Tofino, stopping at many places along the way, just winging it... not sure what to bring besides the basics for hiking or what we need for Safety, used to the Prairies for hikes

    Bears can hibernate way up in hollow trees and have babies in there and everything. It's safer for them. Unfortunately there aren't enough big old growth trees to do that.

    How do you get to weiner waterfalls?

    • @kevinisfallingdown
      @kevinisfallingdown  2 года назад

      Weiner falls is in the Port Alberni area of Van Isle. I would recommend getting the Alltrails and/or Gaia GPS apps to get to spots like that one. The trail to the falls is listed with a route on the map for both. It's become a more popular spot these days. Gaia GPS has a free version you can use but my best advice would be to buy an alltrails subscription as it's important for safety to always have an app like either of these for navigation when trying to find the less-touristy spots. If you go to Weiner falls, be aware that you have to climb down a rope to get to the bottom like you saw in the video and it does get slippery certain times of year. Good grippy footwear is my recommendation with that said. Hope this helps and you get out to it soon!

    Thank you for not naming a few of these places. As long time local we’ve watched some of our “secret” places being overrun. It is nice to keep some places wild.
    Side note, if you’re ever interested in reading about the mystery and disappearance of wiener falls namesake it’s very interesting. He had a farm near the Westbay hotel and his house was blown up and he nor his remains were ever found.

      Thank you for sharing that. I have to read about that now. I love learning about the history behind why places are named what they are. Sometimes it's not simple information to find so I appreciate the tip.
