People who get the manual are more likely to take it to the track, which may require a helmet. By not having a sunroof, you get more headroom. That is the reason behind it.
Yeah, I get that part of it, but so many people aren't going to take it to the track and it'd be nice as an option, especially since you can pair the manual with the sunroof in Canada. But then you add complexity in manufacturing with customization and all that, so this is simpler. I get it, just would be nice is all.
32lb rotational inertial weight is huge for true drivers...cosmetic can't compare. That being said, I just put on stock rims on my 2023 which have been off for a year and they've grown on me (vs my black and lighter aftermarket).
Oh, absolutely. I wasn't trying to write off the update just because of the looks. I appreciate the weight savings, just wish they hadn't done black wheels. But that change, along with the rest of the refresh, if you're truly pushing your car or you're just really in tune with your cars, absolutely you'll notice a difference and it'll be better, but for the majority of people it's basically cosmetic.
I loved my 2023 Elantra N and wish I would have kept it as a daily driver. The cars are a lot of fun and if you can get over the brand, are worth the money.
@@GearboxCarReviews BTW, good review. I just finally finish watching it all! LOL! Getting sleepy last night. Yeah, I found out that nugget of fact. When I was watching the Canadian Car reviewers.
Thanks! This one felt a little more stumbly than normal, but glad it came across ok! That's an interesting nugget. It's always interesting to see what the differences are between Canadian and US spec cars. Often times they feel like odd differences.
I have a Civic Si and thinking about trading. Hows the manual compared to the Hondas? I know the DCT is faster, I don't care. I'm an enthusiasts not a race boy.
I like it. The track is tight and throws are pretty short and it's satisfying to shift. The SI has one of the best shift actions out there though, so if you get out of your SI and directly into the Elantra, you'll probably be disappointed, but once you get used to it, it's quite nice to shift.
U said low 5 0-60 in the automatic… WRONG mines is 4.3 0-60 and that’s without launch.. have the exact same car was produced June 2024 average mpg for this current week is 25 combined.. if you tint those windows the car will really pop and the wheels blend nicely .. and all the changes and upgrades are very beneficial to the Elantra N… I wouldn’t surrender my car for nothing….
All caps WRONG feels a little aggressive ha. All the magazine reports I found were between 5.1-5.5 for the auto. If you're getting faster, that's great though! It's a great car all around.
Fun factor goes to the EN, practicality goes to the GTI. If I didn't need the usability of the GTI I'd have bought a Veloster N instead. So if you don't need the hatch, Elantra N.
Correction! There is no added brake duct Cooling in the 24/25 model. If you look in the wheel well or underneath you will see no openings whatsoever going to the brakes. All they did was wrap the brake flex lines with heat insulation which anybody can buy from Amazon and do their self. The front air ducts on the sides are just air curtains the same as 22/23. Reviewers just assume the Hyundai claimed brake cooling Improvement is through airflow.
This is directly from the press materials: "A new motorsports-derived front-bumper air guide augments stopping performance by routing air directly over the braking system to improve heat dissipation." So not just an assumption, they're making the claim explicitly.
@ I guess it’s hard to tell until you sit in it I just hate that passenger grab handle and the piano black I can’t stand seeing my finger prints all the time. They also could just eliminate the door panel storage and make it wider cause nothing fits in it lol
Yeah fair. After a little bit I kind of forgot about the handle. I even forgot to mention it in the video I think ha. The piano black is in all the competitors too, but it is definitely a plague that needs to die. I've seen it in 20k cars and 200k cars and I can't stand it. I'm with you on that one for sure.
I’d like to refresh a lot more, especially the front!
Im getting one of these
The driving in Mexico line was so subtle but good lol

I agree with this.. the stock pre facelift wheels definitely growing on me

The brand? Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis. Have been knocking out of the park lately.
Why did you get rid of it?
@@cryptonator1988 I bought a 2024 Mustang GT Premium which I plan on boosting. It would have been hard to keep both, so I traded it in.
5.4 sec. 0-60. For manual on 91 Octonce (after octane learning)
That sunroof thing is just with the US Spec.
That makes it feel like an even weirder choice, but I'm not super surprised. Smh.

It's a improvement. Listen, it's a sports car. It's not an Infiniti, Acura, or Mazda for looks. Get in the car! Let's go! LOL!
A 4 door Elantra is NOT a sports car you goon
I would buy one directly if it was available in Sweden

Are there any difference between the 2024 and 2025 Elantra N's?
Nope

What cooling was upgraded?
More air flow directed over the radiator and brakes

does it have rear ac vents?
Not from factory unfortunately, but it looks like there's an aftermarket kit to add them.
How far is that from Savannah?
Georgia? Probably about 900 miles

Statesboro, Georgia I don’t think it’s that far from Savannah Georgia

just me or does the hood not look super well-aligned?
It does kind of look like it, looking back at the video. I don't remember that standing out in person though, and I usually notice that kind of thing.
@@GearboxCarReviews I've watched a few other videos that all look like that though
It's possible I just didn't notice I guess. I'll have to take a closer look next time I see one.
Unfortunately not comfortable in this seat not wide enough 6 feet 220 pounds had to pass on the Elantra N ,to bad .
Yeah, I feel like I was right on the edge of comfort at my size. It's unfortunate that there's no adjustability in the seats or other seat options.
Just needs a new interior and mint
Could be nicer, but it's pretty good compared to what it competes with
