- Afternoon of skiing short turns down Super Trail at Thredbo, Australia. I really like making short turns on these longer skis as it requires precise timing of pressure to the edges, rhythm and foot speed. It has taken a lot of practice, drills and video of myself to be able to keep making progress with my skiing.

Beautiful skiing Tom. Such a big fan of yours!! Thanks for the terrific content.
Thanks for following
Terrible snow conditions , what a crap season 😵💫
It was a bit sad that way. But i tell you what these turns and this snow was really fun still.
Snow wasn’t much better at Perisher! Left the new Stockli’s in the garage!
Good decision. Cmon cold weather!!
Hope new snow is on the way
We had sleet in Breckenridge yesterday. :)
How was this filmed? Incredible
Tom? With your short turns, I recall you make mention of "pulling" your skis around in front of your body - especially on steeper slopes. Do you also emphasis vertical movement of your body to unweight the outer downhill ski and to get onto the inside uphill ski more easily in the transition?
I actually emphasize a lot of different things. You’ve just seen one of my videos where I mention that particular pulling the skis through one. In reality there are so many things you need to work on with a ski turn. Hands, pole plants, weighting/unweighting, edging, for pressuring, turn phase timing, where you look….. the list goes on and on and on. If you really want to know all the things I think join the online academy or subscribe to the bps website during winter. You won’t be disappointed and you’ll learn a lot.
Cheers
Nice. I like GS skis for the softer hook up they give. More flowing. Nice film work too.
Agreed! Thanks
Hey Tom, What model of the Volkl's are you skiing on?
Racetiger GS 25m 183cm. From quite a few years ago. Love these skis though i moved the binding forward 1,5cm of recommended too
Nice turns Tom. That ski will keep your attention 😊
Yes it does. I’m loving the challenge
