Hi 👋 loved to see your schedule, thanks for showing us your flow of the day. Following for ideas as i will start Ambleside online this year with my 7 and 6 year olds and also got a 1 year old and 6 month old. I’m also from WI so that is so exciting to see someone on youtube from around here. Have a blessed day! 😊

Your children are so intelligent and it truly gives me the reaffirmation I needed to try Ambleside out!! I have been using the good and the beautiful for the last four years and it just feels like even though it had a spiral approach to it, my kids were not necessarily grasping grammar and to have a love for reading. Plus the language arts portion of it is so redundant that I myself have a hard time understanding the importance of most lessons lol. I’m going to look into the Using Language Well.
I have been looking into Math U see but I wanted to ask you if by any chance you have ever looked into the curriculum Truth and Beauty for math??? it has a lot of of the Charlotte Mason approach that is similar to me in the way that Ambleside incorporates the classic approach with LA. I sort of just threw myself at it to start this week 😂 I really enjoy the Charlotte Mason method, but I’m very loose with it still. So it’s always really great seeing how other people do their homeschool! Especially with multiple kids.

@@FashionbyBrittany I'm so glad this was helpful! Using Language Well is a breath of fresh air without all the extra fluff! I have not heard of that one but I know there a few wonderful math curriculums that follow the CM approach! I was just very familiar with MathUSee and its worked well for us for 6 years 😌. I think you'll love what Ambleside has to offer us!

How helpful is this! I’ve been thinking of incorporating Ambleside to our SCM schedule and this removes all intimidation. :)
Question - What do you do for “morning time”? When do you hear or read their narrations? Do you read the books yourself to corroborate their narrations or just receive them?

Oh yay! These two videos I think will be helpful to answer your questions! ❤️

What we do for morning time and when I hear narrations! With only 2 in AO, I can hear narrations right after their readings. For my oldest, I tried to pre-read most of her books but didn't get to them all last year! This summer I plan to do better on that regard. My 2nd born we read them together :)
