I really tried to like this movie, but the victim card shit was way, way, way to much. It ruined the movie, Bernie Mac and Ashton Kutcher movie (Guess who) was way better. They went to far with the victim nonsense.
Definitely watching this with my wife. We are in an interracial marriage and it was tough and awkward in the beginning. We were perfect, it was everyone else around us adding unnecessary drama.
Because I don’t think they understood the position they put you in, with them creating drama. If they were more open-minded then it would be a different out-come. But I can understand why from both parties in today’s societal views. At least you’re trying.🙏Don't give up because of their opinions. If they can't handle your relationship, they should not be around you. Because they aren't showing respect for your significant other or you.

The writing in this movie has to be the cringiest most idiotic and just unbearable thing I have ever listened to. This movie acts like Jim Crow laws still at in effect except it's BASED IN MODERN DAY LOS ANGELES.
The social commentary intertwined within is just nonsense that adds the already frustrating dialogue you'll have to endure. I think Jonah needs to stick to acting, as his writing leaves a lot to be desired. Trying to use black culture and jewish culture jokes non stop in forced and obvious situations. Seriously one of the worst movies I have seen in the past 15 years.

Then as an adult, I watched Californication and OMG…absolutely hilarious! I’ve had much respect for him since.

It feel like a movie that's COVERED in stereotypes and you know in the end Hill & London's character will get married and happily ever after.
This is pretty much what they showed in the trailer. Minus the marriage part, but that’s predictable.

@Séverine Rosalia M. There is "joking" about stereotype, having actual discussion and such on the matter by "poking fun". But this movie really pushes the boundaries of being "comedic" and being raciest honestly.
@Kritacul lmao, if you think this is racist you would have had a breakdown watching some of the comedies from the early 2000's. Comedic satires emphasize sterotypes, to teach a lesson through the jokes.
The only people who would think a movie like this is racist, are the people who are incapable of any level of deeper analysis.
I saw the movie. And it's disturbing how this is how people look at each other.. how race devides people even though there is true love... Good movie. But the fact that this is how it goes irl is sadly... Religion, race or anything else shouldn't be a decisionor a factor to divide love ones.. I'm a non believer . And I fell in love with a morrocan girl and other way around.. her parents are against it cause I'm not Muslim.. but I love her more than life.. so it's truly sad to see this happening..

The plot attempts to be deep and controversial.
The script is very poor.
I see the movie as waste of talent. Especially Eddie Murphy whos role can be played by any average actor. He did not add to the role nor the role added to him.
