I do use auto hp yeah, it's one thing less that you have to think about which makes bossing easier.

No, you can see it in the stat window at the end but I havent done many dailies so it's a bit low.
Sd or NL good for boss?
For solo bossing shadower is better, for bossing in a party setting nightlord is. Both are strong though cant go wrong with either

Assassinate gives you superstance mid animation
