In Indian households, the kitchen sees a lot of action and can be quite rough on surfaces. So, opting for fancy choices like white kitchens, quartz, or g7 surfaces might not be the most practical unless you're committed to keeping them in top condition. Kadapa like surfaces tend to hold up better in this environment.
It's easy to get drawn in by the glossy looks seen in interior design videos, but it's important to think about whether they're really suitable for your lifestyle. This is especially crucial in smaller spaces like flats, where every inch counts. Simplifying things, as you mentioned with the pantry unit, can save a lot of space and hassle.
Having watched plenty of interior design videos while planning my own home, I've come to realize that simplicity is key. It's better to focus on maximizing the space you have rather than filling it with unnecessary items. Adopting a minimalist approach can lead to a more efficient and comfortable living space.
Keep more storage simple ones no show shine and also keep things minimalist. Sometimes we store or buy things unnecessarily thinking ki badme use ho jaega. stop doing this. Rather buy things when needed. Buy only those that are needed. Minimalist living is the key.
A very informative video though thanks for sharing, it helps learning. I am also planning my house interiors so I saw many videos and now I am clear as to what I need and what I don't.

nano white are least suggestive material for counter top bcz of maintenance and stains. since, you have already chosen white theme, so i think you may select black granite which looks classy, maintenance free and good contrast match with your white theme. there is another material called quartzite which has similar quality of granite and have many choice of colour but it's pricy. quartzite are solution of all problems of quartz. apart from that, your view on pantry unit are absolutely correct, even i have the same thought. appreciate your efforts to make a vedio on this realistic issue.

Very good video, wish I had seen it before I planned my modular kitchen.....
I had the same problem with the duct from the chimney- it goes a long way to the wall - then someone suggested I use a PVC pipe( white one, 4 inches diameter) instead of the silver big duct which you have shown... I replaced it with the PVC pipe ( it occupies much lesser space and you can change it too... Then you will get a lot of space to store...
Also you can ask your local carpenter to fix a cabinet like cover for the gas meter which doesn't look nice....preferably with the same material that was used for other kitchen cabinets... you canask him to keep an airvent like the one you kept in your wicker basket cupboard so any gas leak is detected immediately...Then it will look like a cabinet....

Hi, no infact acrylic is much better to clean and maintain. Go for handle-less as it looks nice and elegant and after a time these handle also becomes loose and they come out so better avoid it

Life is always for everyone to learn. I came across first video of such type good attitude to share mistakes which rarely someone does but no one can give you good suggestions i would like to try please don't mind and tell me if it works.
Suggested corrections:
1. Gas could have been planned near window with exhaust fan which would have eliminated need of chimney saving your precious money in addition to providing extra space.
2. Make a box covering the gas unit which spoils the show of the kitchen.
3. Side folding door you can remove part shelf if possible (if wooden), then you can keep big boxes inside.
3.. Focus on need-based utilization of space rather than for the purpose giving it look only which is absolutely waste of money.
4. simply adding boxes to cover the kitchen fully just makes your kitchen too small rather plan optimizing the space not mere occupying.

Your kitchen looks good. Once you use it more, you can arrange the items the way you want and use. Since you have already made the pantry unit, you can invest in buying proper glass bottles of different sizes after measuring the space and all your groceries and snack items will fit nicely in the pantry. There is still a lot of space in the front of the duct in the loft where you can buy taller plastic containers which can hold extra grains that you buy in bulk and don’t need everyday. You just need to buy good containers that fit in your cabinets. The gas meter can be hidden behind a sliding wooden box matching your counter or cabinets.

Hi, I have been using an inbuilt hob from last 5 months it has been working fine and there has such no problem but take care of one thing when it is hot or something spills over it like boiled milk or water then don't it clean on an immediate basis. Let it cool first and then wipe it off

Hi, we planned to place the RO down under the sink area to save space but we realized later that placing the RO down requires a separate equipment (motor) to fetch the water, so again this equipment will cost also. Placing it somewhere on the top will solve the purpose. Rest it is your choice and it all depends on how much space you have.

Open kitchen he best hota hai ye sab me spent bahut hote hai aur jagah kaam nahi aata uper jo cabinet banta hai usme kitchen chota/bandhak type feel aata hai kul milakar mujhe pasand nahi aata modern kitchen, storage aur extra utensils ke liye ek chota sa separate room rahe wahi sahi hai

Nowadays u get chimneys without these outlet...the charcoal filter is inbuilt..... For ur gas meter u can make a plywood box to cover it with the laminates of ur trolleys. It will look better

Hi, hob is usually placed under the chimney, and I planned in this way only. Sink area is separate

So I was wondering why did not you put the chimney directly under where the hole in the wall (for the chimney outlet) is and then put the hob under the chimney. So I thought may be your sink would be too close to your hob in that set up. Anyway thank you for the nice video and taking time to reply. Stay well, stay healthy.

If you are using mesh. You didn't need wicker basket. You could have gone with shelves. Mesh is anyway going to circulate the air. I liked your colour choice. White looks really good. I think your countertop is getting stains because of hot utensils. Don't put hot things on that.
