I think the fact that he's STILL the youngest Super Saiyan ever hints that he might be more natural to evolve into other forms. Naturally gifted, but left untrained.
Goten definitely has the most potential out of all the saiyan hybrids, he is just wasted potential He is the son a mastered ssj goku whereas gohan and even trunks were son of version of their father when they were weaker Turned ssj at 7 with minimum training and was nearly on par with trunks in power even though trunks is a year older and trained a lot in the gravity room with vegeta, goten only trained with gohan and chichi for a couple of days
U mean writing? It doesn’t make sense for me that Goten is stronger or equally strong as Trunks when trained. Trunks is the *first born* son of Vegeta after all. The pecking order should be Gohan > Trunks > Goten. However, if it comes to down to genetics. It’s clear Goten has more potential since his parents are both fighters.
I meant to emphasize he is still the son of Vegeta, having his perks and potential to be near equal terms to Gohan. Goten is what I feel like is representation of the power level pulled out of his ass just to compete with Trunks. Wasted character with bad writing.

In all honesty, Goten has a great deal more potential than Gohan, even having a slight advantage in potential than Trunks due to being a super saiyan at a younger age than Trunks and being close to Trunks in power. Goten simply doesn't achieve his full potential in dragonball. Even Gohan thought at one point that Goten could be stronger than himself someday. If Goten trained as diligently as Goku, he would surpass him, just as Gohan did a couple of times.
The problem is, characters like Gohan, Goten and Trunks don't really know how to train on their own. Like at Future Gohan and Future Trunks. Their gains were so limited because of their lack of knowledge. So the question is, Would Gohan , Goten or Trunks even know how to train themselves?
at the end of the day it doesnt matter because they could just wish for him to unlock his potential or use elder kai's boost, then do training and be up to the status quo. that's if they dont choose to just abuse their zenkai boost with healing characters
And achieved super sayain with no training even trunks trained with a sayain and was only slightly stronger then gotten imo that shows more potential then frieza
though gohan does train by himself, he just doesnt do it nearly enough and only does it when ppl wont notice. it was stated in the dbs manga aswell as the anime some time ago. i think thats why he still could go ultimate in BoG after a 7 YEAR GAP OF PEACE@@QaamansLand
this video is full of forced logic lol...1 goku never wanted to train his kids, he trained gohan because he had had to and by had i mean HAD TO. it's also not fair to comment on powerups in a peaceful future as even gohan became shit, and goten was still able to fight on par with trunks who trained much more even in the future. for the whole gt taking the body, yes you focused on him wanting to move from goten's body to gohan's body yet you quickly just went over how he also wanted to move from gohan's body to vegeta, are now now saying vegeta's body has more potential than gohan? as for creativity and the whole ingredients things, their is an element of truth but you are taking way too much from goten, the whole silly playful personality is from goten, the pranks are from goten so on and so forth. finally he never had the chance to build up a period of training followed by a period of great pressure all on his own to see his latent potential slightly being unleashed like trunks and gohan, but just because he didn't have an arc like that while others had, doesn't make it fair to say that goten doesn't have that potential to begin with.

My boy Goten!!!!!!! Lets get started Q. First my boy threw hands with a SSJ Gohan at the age of 7 & if he could fly wouldv'e been a serious opponent in a real match (prolly still losing). I also think the emphasis of "play figthing" with trunks was a bigger impact power wise than training with chichi than implied....Trunks is teaching/inadvertently training him how to get stronger while fighting cuz we all know saiyans get stronger while fighting & they aint play fighting like normal kids & if you have seen kids play fight they aint got no chill! Chichi taught him "how" to fight, defend, & stay disicplined while fighting, not get stronger thats why she was so surpised when he turned super saiyan, she was just teaching him the Ox king/ roshi's fighting style that we seen goku and everybody else use, specifically just like chichi when she fought goku in the 23rd WMAT in dragonball. He just took that fighting style to a higher level when he would fight trunks and others, so there's no problem with his fighting. & to talk about that rage boost/ power boost (leaving out bio broly cuz that turned me up!) When Goten saw Super buu step on chichi as an egg right before ya boy Piccolo stopped him, i always felt he was deadass finna snap, Idk about going ssj2 cuz he wasnt strong enough but that definetly had a big impact on the motivation & dedication of his character & we see that when he went two weeks straight training hard in the HTC from the jump with minimal breaks while we saw trunks goofing off & drinking sodas, Goten wasted no time & got significantly strong to the point that he went from weaker than Android 18 to stronger than Android 18 & base fusion went from getting whooped by fat buu to piccolo having ackknowledged & gotenks thinking that just his base was enough to beat fat buu at that time. Goten until the end of Z has never shown not to love fighting just as much as goku & you can see this whenever fighting comes up how excited he gets(ex:buu)... If he had goku's influence from the jump & didn't look up to a lazy gohan who did no training while an adolscent, he wouldv'e been way stronger to the point that if goku had trained him, he possible wouldv'e been SSJ2 lvel when the tournament started & possible closer to vegeta if not stronger!!! Even in super he would ask goku if he can go train with him but chichi keeps fucking stopping him every TIME!!! & this leads to the end of Z where after goku let kid buu kill him & waited for UUB to show i doubt that goku actually trained goten until when we see him do it on screen because goku was suprised Goten hadn't improved by doing self alone training which nobody taught him,(YOU cant teach an old dog new tricks ) & thats in essence what goku was trying to do because i think he put more time into himself & pan than into goten before we see him train goten. Toriyama said that Goten and Trunks can go SSJ faster than their progenitors thanks to them being raise in a peaceful world. If we use that plus Universe 6’s INCREDIBLY powerful Saiyans, I think it’s easy to assume that the more peace that a saiyan is raised in will result in a far stronger saiyan. There’s tons of other factors too like Goku and Vegeta being stronger when they conceived the younger boys. When it comes to potential I think that Goten and Trunks do have more or the very least just as much. The issue is that I think he just wasn’t motivated enough in the future to train like Goku, which pushed Goku back from forcing him. Plus Goku wanted to make sure the reincarnation of Maijin Buu was trained to be humble and good, I don’t think he was exactly uninterested in his son. We saw that Gohan reached SSJ Blue levels in no time after training with Piccolo and Future Trunks reached something close with his form. I think the only thing keeping these characters from having their potential boosts is the writing having no need for them at the moment.
I've always wanted Gohan to properly take over for Goku after Cell, then at some point later in the story Toriyama could have Gohan settle down, then basically make Goten the new young Goku and Trunks would be his Rival, but Trunks and Gotens Rivalry and Friendship would have been ever closer than Goku's and Vegetas.
That was never the story The characters to take over were UUB & PAN as the main Goten & Trunks will always be gags of previous characters Goku & Future Trunks

Have to disagree the only reason why goten hasn’t shown more potential than trunks or gohan is because of lazy writing. Been saying for years goten has the most potential out of all them. Even more than gohan than trunks. He was the youngest super Saiyan and strongest 7 year old in the story. Gohan had weaker teachers but so did goten he had chichi!! Goku didn’t see goten to train was because he made a “promise” when he killed buy also he saw goten was gonna be just like gohan in the sense that he wasn’t gonna like fighting like him.

Sometimes you gotta consider character like with the Uub situation. Goku doesn't really force people to train with him, it was clear from seeing Goten that he stopped caring about his fighting potential but that doesn't make it weaker. Meanwhile Uub got what he wanted from the tournament and actually did want to train with Goku because he actually did want to fight, he liked it as a sport. I doubt that it's because he didn't see anything in Goten like you're implying, Goku isn't gonna force Goten to train, it's that simple. We also know that potential doesn't just head out with age, that was stated by Vegeta when he said Gohan still has plenty of latent power in him, he just doesn't access it. So in regards to Goten to say that his potential is less than trunks and Gohan because he's a slacker, I would say is wrong. Those 2 are counterparts to one another so it's safe to assume that it's on par with each other. You argue it's because we've seen Gohan and Trunks get rage boosts but when has Goten or kid Trunks been pushed to that degree? it's clearly life or death when they do it so is it really fair to say that Goten can't? I would say that Goten is a ball of talent that likes to show off his tricks but doesn't push himself beyond the cool stuff. He's passive and very impressionable, capable of changing his attitude quickly, from pissed off at buu to playing with Trunks again. If there is a difference between Goten and Trunks's potential, I'd say it doesn't even come close to a Caulifla and Kale situation. Goten's potentially doesn't seem up to snuff until you realize that he doesn't get into hopeless situations where there's literally nothing to do but fight or die, like Trunks with Zamasu or Gohan and Cell. TL:DR: 1, Goten's circumstances never lined up to give him a rage boost because he has stuff like fusion in his arsenal and is impressionable, 2, potential doesn't wane in DB or if it did it doesn't anymore, 3, Goku won't force Goten to train, it's not because he doesn't see anything in Goten but does in Uub.
The thing is Gohan and Trunks got so much screentime and Goten got none, Goten never fought a serious for by himself so we never got any evidences on how large his potential is
The only time he got serious is when he saw trunks got injured in the bio Broly movie and powered up and took on bio Broly 1v1 the rest of movie felt like Goten was the main character, but shame that movie wasn`t good
What matters is how powerful the parents are at conception. Goku made Goten after the time chamber training. Goten has the most potential in my opinion.

Goten seems to have a slightly higher potential than Trunks, but not Gohan. Goten was allowed to train with Trunks early on (which could explain why they’re both so powerful), but Gohan was constantly being gated by ChiChi his entire childhood. I would love to see all 3 of them put in more work in DBS tho.
Gotten would have the potential if he was more focused on his training, but the End of Z and GT show he just isn't much interested in fighting as Goku is.
Goten had way more potential than Trunks. Trunks was training in the gravity chamber with Vegeta while Goten trained with Gohan who had couldn’t train him the way he really wanted to due to Videl constantly being there
I don’t mind newer Saiyans getting super saiyan easily…especially because they are being taught how to activate it…Goku just ended up doing it…and Vegeta had to teach himself after seeing Goku do it it’s like learning a language…it’s easy as a child harder as an adult

I feel you can't take away that ssj was extremely natural too them,you can say that it was peaceful environment but goten went ssj because he gotcl mad and was push to do ssj,but gohan when mad multiple times didn't turn ssj,so in overall potential you can't ignore that ,gohan had learn ssj way older,the only thing that make gohan maybe higher potential is ssj2 that anger boost.I think in base goten was really strong without gohan experiences and if was train properly and didn't lack the well fight probably wouldav surpassed gohan ,the reason I think goten was so weak in end series was that he still went for chicks ,slack off in training and was less likely want train.If you take away all gohan experiences ,goten would be stronger age to age,gohan only got stronger because he needed be,goten was strong to begin with.Side note if goten turned ssj2 when chichi died that wouldav been crazy sadly didn't happen that way

I feel bad for Goten being created with an original attempt to move past from, Goku, only to now being a fodder character. A simple thing like making him actually enjoy fighting and wanting to get out of his father's, older brother, and best friend's shadow would make an interesting ball game... unfortunately we can't have nice things.
I always thought Gohan had the most hidden potential because of his nature (personality) not just his genetics. He is a gentle protector and brave even in the most extreme situations. Those are prime conditions for rage boosts and exponential growth under pressure. When he sees people and lives are endangered by evil he is able to tap into unfathomable strength and righteous fury. Trunks and Goten simply don't naturally have that kind of mindset to reach such power levels.
Absolutely! Just with the fact that he chooses to be a superhero in his spare time as the great saiyaman shows his concern for people in general, not just his loved ones.

People saying he is stronger because he achieved super sayan sooner : this is not an argument. Future trunks and kid trunks have the same DNA, yet achieved it at different times. If you try to justify it differently than "it's because they did not have time to introduce it properly in the story", it just could be that having people around you that are able to transform makes it easier. Just like it is easy for you to know pythagoras, but this guy had to be super smart to think of it at the time Same for future Gohan : adult Gohan could destroy super Buu and was stronger than ssj3 Goku, but future Gohan was not as strong as Vegeta in the cyborg arc So no, transforming early doesn't mean anything. Truth is there is no way to know Goten's potential as we can only know it when another character feels it (Goku telling it for Gohan) or when the character shows it himself (like Goku or raging Gohan)
Of course ubb has much more potencial than any sayan cause he has the power of the universo inside him, majin buu is a mistical universal force formado by evil but that evil got erase by the divinity of the great supreme kai, so he has also godly ki inside... so he is basicly a powerhouse like broly and foten never showed this... only a real fast improvement but Kind of normal, no power peaks, if he trained harly he would get very very strong but he hasnt shown much hidden power.
Goku and Goten look alike starting out. As time progress, they look different from each other. Goten spends his time dating girls. The goal is not to make Goten lazy but to make him different. Goten would just be another Goku.
You also have to look at the fact that when Goten was conceived Goku was fresh out of the time chamber and continuously stayed in the Super Saiyan form. So that could also be a factor to Goku and chichi conceiving Goten with enormous power possiblity.

Goten benefits more from sparring against Trunks, but not as much as Trunks did training under Vegeta and in the gravity chamber. The base power you're born with, rage bursts and how fast you can gain strength through training determines your potential. While Gohan was born with lower power level, he had incredible rage boosts. His sheer determination allowed him to go from base goku level to matching goku in SSB form. He also tied with Kefla in the manga. Gohan has shown greater potential in unlocking new forms and get stronger faster through training. While Goten hasn't displayed rage boosts yet, has he ever trained seriously? Who is to say that he can't get stronger faster than Trunks through training?
so your saying he wouldnt be strong because he doesnt have a will for training because in gt (something that isnt cannon) he was never shown to be strong because he didnt train... ok but look at the buu saga... he trained with trunks for MAYBE a little over a week and the both grew so strong they could ragdoll buu and this is after getting ASS BLASTED and thrown to the side like trash in the wind by that same buu... they grew many times stronger IN A FEW DAYS... just imagine how strong goten would be if they let him train with whis instead of trunks for a few days... instead of a few times stronger he would easily be hundreds of times stronger.. or hell just do the god ritual and he would be on par with base piccolo... god is thought to be around a few thousand times multiplier... that would make goten from bottom of the barrel to nearly the strongest in like 10 minutes tops. and then if he trained after that ritual to use his god powers more effectively and learn blue he would be so strong he could give BROLY a run for his money... cuz again even if you say that buu saga thing he only got like 10 times stronger he did that in a matter of days... so if he was suddenly made 1000 times stronger from the ritual and then trained for a few days with a much better instructor he would be WAY stronger then even some main characters... and yet even with this knowledge they choose to pick TIEN AND ROSHI over goten... like bruh... if they just gave goten god ki and throw him in the time chamber with whis before the tournament started he would have been so strong he could bitch slap keflas ass and get away with it... goten has some of the greatest potential of any saiyan ever... he can become main character level relevant in a matter of MINUTES and now that they aged them up its the PERFECT time for goten to showcase why he could be the goat...ten
I feel like the only reason goten's potential is never realised is because of bad writing. I mean they never use goten for something serious. Talking about rage boost, he was never really in the same situation as gohan or future trunks. Even when his mother was killed by buu piccolo told him that she could be brought back by the dragon balls. I think an arc where goten realises he's position and decides to leave his father's shadow would be great.
It's funny how the younger generation is smarter and stronger. Kid goku could fly and use energy attacks at 12-14 years old and becoming a super saiyan as an adult. Gohan learns to fly and use energy attacks at 4, and turned to a super saiyan as a teen. Goten learned everything at like 7 or 8. From flying to a super saiyan. Then there's pan, a baby who flew and at 3 she seems to know certain ki control she might be a super saiyan earlier than goten

Since Chi Chi trained Goten, she was there, making her aware when Goten became a Super Saiyan for the very first time. If Vegeta trained Trunks “Occasionally” as u put it. Vegeta would not have been shocked nor surprised. Like Gohan. 2) If your needle noggin was workin right u would’ve easily understood Goten & Trunks fought each other every single day for years. Training together, fighting each other, they called it “playing.” Thru training together, aka fighting & sparring, they increased their power levels exponentially. 3) Goten has the highest inner potential, outta his brother & father. As an infant Goten’s power level was already Massively Overwhelmingly Stronger than SSJ Goku & Final Form Frieza on Namek. Goten & Trunks we’re born infinitely stronger than Gohan. This is a power scaling feat. This alone shows their innate higher inner potential. Each new generation is born more powerful with more inner potential than the previous generation. This is the original concept that was established in Dragon Ball during Goku’s childhood. 4) Goten being able to become a universe stronger than Kid Gohan, in peace vs in war time. Displays which one of Goku’s sons have much higher potential than the other. Goten was tremendously strong in peace, imagine how strong Goten would be if he was born in times of war? He’d be OP at bare minimum. Not to mention he would easily surpass SSJ2 Teen Gohan in The Cell Games. Goten (7) & Trunks (8) are equal to all 7 Cell Jrs.. who are 1/3 the power level of Perfect Cell. 5) Goten is not a clone of Goku. But to you he is. The reason why I can make this assessment comfortably and ask is because you downplay Goten while simultaneously upscaling Trunks. They are nearly identical in p.l. with slight edge to Trunks. That shows your negative biasedness against Goten as a character. All the characters, his was not focused on as much. And you have to nostalgia of Future Trunks to rely on for Trunks. Some children resemble the parents and looks and personality. But as they grow and mature they come into their own and it shows the differences with the same thing with Goku & Goten. 6) In The Buu Arc Goku was not impressed with Goten & Trunks Maximum Power Level. Bcuz Goku himself was too OP. Goku is The Strongest In The Universe In The Buu Arc. There is insurmountable evidence in the Manga amBenzo Anime to confirm this. But I will only keep it to a minimum here. Vegeta was surprised by Trunks power level as an SSJ. Gohan was also shocked by Goten’s power level as an SSJ. This means both Gohan & Vegeta were highly impressed with Goten & Trunks. Goku not being impressed shows that Goku is eons above Vegata & Gohan power level wise. This is the very first clue to Goku being the Strongest. A very important clue that a great many fans like yourself easily overlooked. 7) Goku recognized Goten hads inner potential far greater than Gohan. In the Cell Arc, specifically in the Cell Games, Goku tried to force Gohan to be like himself. It was through piccolo that Goku learn go hard was not like his cell. We had a great dinner potential sometimes that potential surpass Goku, but he did not love to fight. So it was at this moment go from learn not to force his own son to continue training and fighting because his son had other motivations such as becoming a scholar. South hill with his second son, Goku did not to force Goten to love training & fighting. But he allowed him to grow and mature to become his own person, and pursue his own interests. 8) The Saiyan Hybrid Lore. Half Saiyan half Earthling Hybrids Are all born with higher in a potential than Saiyans. As children they love to fight, and get stronger. But as they grow and mature, they lose the will & love to fight. Uub The Reincarnated Earthling of Kid Buu, was born with an inner potential far greater than Gohan, Goten & Trunks combined. In all honesty, Goten has a great deal more potential than Gohan, even having a slight advantage in potential than Trunks due to being a super saiyan at a younger age than Trunks and being close to Trunks in power. Goten simply doesn't achieve his full potential in dragonball. Even Gohan thought at one point that Goten could be stronger than himself someday. If Goten trained as diligently as Goku, he would surpass him, just as Gohan did a couple of times.
The problem is, characters like Gohan, Goten and Trunks don't really know how to train on their own. Like at Future Gohan and Future Trunks. Their gains were so limited because of their lack of knowledge. So the question is,
Would Gohan , Goten or Trunks even know how to train themselves?

My boy Goten!!!!!!! Lets get started Q. First my boy threw hands with a SSJ Gohan at the age of 7 & if he could fly wouldv'e been a serious opponent in a real match (prolly still losing). I also think the emphasis of "play figthing" with trunks was a bigger impact power wise than training with chichi than implied....Trunks is teaching/inadvertently training him how to get stronger while fighting cuz we all know saiyans get stronger while fighting & they aint play fighting like normal kids & if you have seen kids play fight they aint got no chill! Chichi taught him "how" to fight, defend, & stay disicplined while fighting, not get stronger thats why she was so surpised when he turned super saiyan, she was just teaching him the Ox king/ roshi's fighting style that we seen goku and everybody else use, specifically just like chichi when she fought goku in the 23rd WMAT in dragonball. He just took that fighting style to a higher level when he would fight trunks and others, so there's no problem with his fighting. & to talk about that rage boost/ power boost (leaving out bio broly cuz that turned me up!) When Goten saw Super buu step on chichi as an egg right before ya boy Piccolo stopped him, i always felt he was deadass finna snap, Idk about going ssj2 cuz he wasnt strong enough but that definetly had a big impact on the motivation & dedication of his character & we see that when he went two weeks straight training hard in the HTC from the jump with minimal breaks while we saw trunks goofing off & drinking sodas, Goten wasted no time & got significantly strong to the point that he went from weaker than Android 18 to stronger than Android 18 & base fusion went from getting whooped by fat buu to piccolo having ackknowledged & gotenks thinking that just his base was enough to beat fat buu at that time. Goten until the end of Z has never shown not to love fighting just as much as goku & you can see this whenever fighting comes up how excited he gets(ex:buu)... If he had goku's influence from the jump & didn't look up to a lazy gohan who did no training while an adolscent, he wouldv'e been way stronger to the point that if goku had trained him, he possible wouldv'e been SSJ2 lvel when the tournament started & possible closer to vegeta if not stronger!!! Even in super he would ask goku if he can go train with him but chichi keeps fucking stopping him every TIME!!! & this leads to the end of Z where after goku let kid buu kill him & waited for UUB to show i doubt that goku actually trained goten until when we see him do it on screen because goku was suprised Goten hadn't improved by doing self alone training which nobody taught him,(YOU cant teach an old dog new tricks ) & thats in essence what goku was trying to do because i think he put more time into himself & pan than into goten before we see him train goten. Toriyama said that Goten and Trunks can go SSJ faster than their progenitors thanks to them being raise in a peaceful world.
If we use that plus Universe 6’s INCREDIBLY powerful Saiyans, I think it’s easy to assume that the more peace that a saiyan is raised in will result in a far stronger saiyan.
There’s tons of other factors too like Goku and Vegeta being stronger when they conceived the younger boys.
When it comes to potential I think that Goten and Trunks do have more or the very least just as much. The issue is that I think he just wasn’t motivated enough in the future to train like Goku, which pushed Goku back from forcing him. Plus Goku wanted to make sure the reincarnation of Maijin Buu was trained to be humble and good, I don’t think he was exactly uninterested in his son.
We saw that Gohan reached SSJ Blue levels in no time after training with Piccolo and Future Trunks reached something close with his form.
I think the only thing keeping these characters from having their potential boosts is the writing having no need for them at the moment.

I've always wanted Gohan to properly take over for Goku after Cell, then at some point later in the story Toriyama could have Gohan settle down, then basically make Goten the new young Goku and Trunks would be his Rival, but Trunks and Gotens Rivalry and Friendship would have been ever closer than Goku's and Vegetas.

Have to disagree the only reason why goten hasn’t shown more potential than trunks or gohan is because of lazy writing. Been saying for years goten has the most potential out of all them. Btw I don't think that just because he doesn't get rage boosts like the others doesn't mean his potential is weaker. Sometimes you gotta consider character like with the Uub situation. Goku doesn't really force people to train with him, it was clear from seeing Goten that he stopped caring about his fighting potential but that doesn't make it weaker. Meanwhile Uub got what he wanted from the tournament and actually did want to train with Goku because he actually did want to fight, he liked it as a sport. I doubt that it's because he didn't see anything in Goten like you're implying, Goku isn't gonna force Goten to train, it's that simple. We also know that potential doesn't just head out with age, that was stated by Vegeta when he said Gohan still has plenty of latent power in him, he just doesn't access it. So in regards to Goten to say that his potential is less than trunks and Gohan because he's a slacker, I would say is wrong. Those 2 are counterparts to one another so it's safe to assume that it's on par with each other. You argue it's because we've seen Gohan and Trunks get rage boosts but when has Goten or kid Trunks been pushed to that degree? it's clearly life or death when they do it so is it really fair to say that Goten can't? I would say that Goten is a ball of talent that likes to show off his tricks but doesn't push himself beyond the cool stuff. He's passive and very impressionable, capable of changing his attitude quickly, from pissed off at buu to playing with Trunks again. If there is a difference between Goten and Trunks's potential, I'd say it doesn't even come close to a Caulifla and Kale situation. Goten's potentially doesn't seem up to snuff until you realize that he doesn't get into hopeless situations where there's literally nothing to do but fight or die, like Trunks with Zamasu or Gohan and Cell.
TL:DR: 1, Goten's circumstances never lined up to give him a rage boost because he has stuff like fusion in his arsenal and is impressionable, 2, potential doesn't wane in DB or if it did it doesn't anymore, 3, Goku won't force Goten to train, it's not because he doesn't see anything in Goten but does in Uub.
The thing is Gohan and Trunks got so much screentime and Goten got none, Goten never fought a serious for by himself so we never got any evidences on how large his potential is

I always thought Gohan had the most hidden potential because of his nature (personality) not just his genetics. He is a gentle protector and brave even in the most extreme situations. Those are prime conditions for rage boosts and exponential growth under pressure. When he sees people and lives are endangered by evil he is able to tap into unfathomable strength and righteous fury. Trunks and Goten simply don't naturally have that kind of mindset to reach such power levels.
Absolutely! Just with the fact that he chooses to be a superhero in his spare time as the great saiyaman shows his concern for people in general, not just his loved ones.

If you try to justify it differently than "it's because they did not have time to introduce it properly in the story", it just could be that having people around you that are able to transform makes it easier. Just like it is easy for you to know pythagoras, but this guy had to be super smart to think of it at the time
Same for future Gohan : adult Gohan could destroy super Buu and was stronger than ssj3 Goku, but future Gohan was not as strong as Vegeta in the cyborg arc
So no, transforming early doesn't mean anything. Truth is there is no way to know Goten's potential as we can only know it when another character feels it (Goku telling it for Gohan) or when the character shows it himself (like Goku or raging Gohan)

Of course ubb has much more potencial than any sayan cause he has the power of the universo inside him, majin buu is a mistical universal force formado by evil but that evil got erase by the divinity of the great supreme kai, so he has also godly ki inside... so he is basicly a powerhouse like broly and foten never showed this... only a real fast improvement but Kind of normal, no power peaks, if he trained harly he would get very very strong but he hasnt shown much hidden power.

Goku and Goten look alike starting out. As time progress, they look different from each other. Goten spends his time dating girls. The goal is not to make Goten lazy but to make him different. Goten would just be another Goku.
You also have to look at the fact that when Goten was conceived Goku was fresh out of the time chamber and continuously stayed in the Super Saiyan form. So that could also be a factor to Goku and chichi conceiving Goten with enormous power possiblity.
Goten may not have shown rage bursts like Gohan or even future Trunks in DBS, but he never had an opportunity. Goten benefits more from sparring against Trunks, but not as much as Trunks did training under Vegeta and in the gravity chamber. The base power you're born with, rage bursts and how fast you can gain strength through training determines your potential. While Gohan was born with lower power level, he had incredible rage boosts. His sheer determination allowed him to go from base goku level to matching goku in SSB form. He also tied with Kefla in the manga. Gohan has shown greater potential in unlocking new forms and get stronger faster through training. While Goten hasn't displayed rage boosts yet, has he ever trained seriously? Who is to say that he can't get stronger faster than Trunks through training?
Goten almost had a rage out. When Majin Buu turned his Mother, Chi-Chi into an egg and stepped on her.

so your saying he wouldnt be strong because he doesnt have a will for training because in gt (something that isnt cannon) he was never shown to be strong because he didnt train... ok but look at the buu saga... he trained with trunks for MAYBE a little over a week and the both grew so strong they could ragdoll buu and this is after getting ASS BLASTED and thrown to the side like trash in the wind by that same buu... they grew many times stronger IN A FEW DAYS... just imagine how strong goten would be if they let him train with whis instead of trunks for a few days... instead of a few times stronger he would easily be hundreds of times stronger.. or hell just do the god ritual and he would be on par with base piccolo... god is thought to be around a few thousand times multiplier... that would make goten from bottom of the barrel to nearly the strongest in like 10 minutes tops. and then if he trained after that ritual to use his god powers more effectively and learn blue he would be so strong he could give BROLY a run for his money... cuz again even if you say that buu saga thing he only got like 10 times stronger he did that in a matter of days... so if he was suddenly made 1000 times stronger from the ritual and then trained for a few days with a much better instructor he would be WAY stronger then even some main characters... and yet even with this knowledge they choose to pick TIEN AND ROSHI over goten... like bruh... if they just gave goten god ki and throw him in the time chamber with whis before the tournament started he would have been so strong he could bitch slap keflas ass and get away with it... goten has some of the greatest potential of any saiyan ever... he can become main character level relevant in a matter of MINUTES and now that they aged them up its the PERFECT time for goten to showcase why he could be the goat...ten
I feel like the only reason goten's potential is never realised is because of bad writing. I mean they never use goten for something serious. Talking about rage boost, he was never really in the same situation as gohan or future trunks. Even when his mother was killed by buu piccolo told him that she could be brought back by the dragon balls. I think an arc where goten realises he's position and decides to leave his father's shadow would be great.
It's funny how the younger generation is smarter and stronger. Kid goku could fly and use energy attacks at 12-14 years old and becoming a super saiyan as an adult. Gohan learns to fly and use energy attacks at 4, and turned to a super saiyan as a teen. Goten learned everything at like 7 or 8. From flying to a super saiyan. Then there's pan, a baby who flew and at 3 she seems to know certain ki control she might be a super saiyan earlier than goten

What matter is what's the base gohan was 9 when he went ssj goten was 7 but again at age 9 his base is crazy different then goten even now goten is actually 11 now and by now gohan age 10 was the first to go SSJ2 and goten hasn't gain any strength and in base gohan would easily beat goten in the same age after 9 that's it

Quaaman you have no idea what your talkin about.
1) Vegeta never trained Trunks. It is heavily implied. Since Chi Chi trained Goten, she was there, making her aware when Goten became a Super Saiyan for the very first time. If Vegeta trained Trunks “Occasionally” as u put it. Vegeta would not have been shocked nor surprised. Like Gohan.
2) If your needle noggin was workin right u would’ve easily understood Goten & Trunks fought each other every single day for years. Training together, fighting each other, they called it “playing.” Thru training together, aka fighting & sparring, they increased their power levels exponentially.
3) Goten has the highest inner potential, outta his brother & father. As an infant Goten’s power level was already Massively Overwhelmingly Stronger than SSJ Goku & Final Form Frieza on Namek. Goten & Trunks we’re born infinitely stronger than Gohan. This is a power scaling feat. This alone shows their innate higher inner potential. Each new generation is born more powerful with more inner potential than the previous generation. This is the original concept that was established in Dragon Ball during Goku’s childhood.
4) Goten being able to become a universe stronger than Kid Gohan, in peace vs in war time. Displays which one of Goku’s sons have much higher potential than the other. Goten was tremendously strong in peace, imagine how strong Goten would be if he was born in times of war? He’d be OP at bare minimum. Not to mention he would easily surpass SSJ2 Teen Gohan in The Cell Games. Goten (7) & Trunks (8) are equal to all 7 Cell Jrs.. who are 1/3 the power level of Perfect Cell.
5) Goten is not a clone of Goku. But to you he is. The reason why I can make this assessment comfortably and ask is because you downplay Goten while simultaneously upscaling Trunks. They are nearly identical in p.l. with slight edge to Trunks. That shows your negative biasedness against Goten as a character. All the characters, his was not focused on as much. And you have to nostalgia of Future Trunks to rely on for Trunks. Some children resemble the parents and looks and personality. But as they grow and mature they come into their own and it shows the differences with the same thing with Goku & Goten.
6) In The Buu Arc Goku was not impressed with Goten & Trunks Maximum Power Level. Bcuz Goku himself was too OP. Goku is The Strongest In The Universe In The Buu Arc. There is insurmountable evidence in the Manga amBenzo Anime to confirm this. But I will only keep it to a minimum here. Vegeta was surprised by Trunks power level as an SSJ. Gohan was also shocked by Goten’s power level as an SSJ. This means both Gohan & Vegeta were highly impressed with Goten & Trunks. Goku not being impressed shows that Goku is eons above Vegata & Gohan power level wise. This is the very first clue to Goku being the Strongest. A very important clue that a great many fans like yourself easily overlooked.
7) Goku recognized Goten hads inner potential far greater than Gohan. In the Cell Arc, specifically in the Cell Games, Goku tried to force Gohan to be like himself. It was through piccolo that Goku learn go hard was not like his cell. We had a great dinner potential sometimes that potential surpass Goku, but he did not love to fight. So it was at this moment go from learn not to force his own son to continue training and fighting because his son had other motivations such as becoming a scholar. South hill with his second son, Goku did not to force Goten to love training & fighting. But he allowed him to grow and mature to become his own person, and pursue his own interests.
8) The Saiyan Hybrid Lore. Half Saiyan half Earthling Hybrids Are all born with higher in a potential than Saiyans. As children they love to fight, and get stronger. But as they grow and mature, they lose the will & love to fight. Uub The Reincarnated Earthling of Kid Buu, was born with an inner potential far greater than Gohan, Goten & Trunks combined. Uub also has the will & loves to fight. Uub resembles Kid Goku, pure innocent loves to fight, and is full of untapped inner potential waiting to be unleashed. This makes Uub the Perfect student for Goku to pass on the torch Defender of Earth. By the end of Z Gohan & Goten have little to no interest in training and fighting.
9) Future Gohan does not posses the same innate inner potential as the main timeline Gohan. Future Gohan’s dad died, his mother was murdered by the androids. Vegeta, Piccolo and most of the other Z fighters were also murdered. Witnessing these traumatic events stunted Gohan’s inner potentials d growth. He would never be the same again. Gohan lost is former Op Inner potential. Yeah we had a regular interpretation, that was finite, not infinite as it would be in the meantime. Experiencing major traumatic events can’t stifle studs and the gate the original bro process is in a potential was supposed to have. He was full of doubt here and had nobody to train you to become the beastly warrior we experienced in the meantime line. Not only that, the Androids & Cell are weaker versions in the alternate timeline than they are in the main timeline. Future Gohan’s potential was lost and wasted due to experiencing highly traumatic events. F.T. Gohan could never hope to find the power he has in the maintimeline because he does not possess the same will. Basically, Gohan in alternate timeline is a shell of himself when compared to Gohan in the main timeline. This is why there is such a drastic difference in your power levels. And their inner potential.

To be fair, Trunks never had a moment of peace in his childhood while Gohan did. He was born into a war zone, time traveled into another war zone, before finally getting his peaceful period.
