He was a child. But Sirius was a child too. Sirius only had the support system because he searching for one, and Regulus not. Sirius was literally torturing in his own family, he only has the support outside the home. In his home, he never was beloved and he never was safe.
@@xnapellus I think that for Regulus, Sirius was that support system, the support system he lost when Sirius decided to leave without him. So I can see where Regulus' resentment comes from. Moreover Sirius was not the only one tortured in the family, maybe he got it worse because he was the oldest rebel brother, but I'm sure that all the frustration and anger the parents felt when Sirius left, they threw it all on Regulus.

Then you reread “Kreacher’s Tale” and he talks about how Regulus came back one day very agitated and restless and wanted to find the cave. The line “I’m going to go.” Is so much more heart wrenching if you think Regulus had already made up his mind and got a bit drunk and then had this argument with Sirius. Not even a few weeks or days later it’s in the papers that Regulus Arcturus Black is dead. Guys brilliant work and so emotionally charged that I was blown away. Your all amazing

i love how well you've shown that james is goofy and overdramatic but also somehow the most emotionally responsible and mature one out of these three like thats such a difficult balance to portray naturally but you've done such a great job of it!

Both brothers are right in their own reasoning but won't allow themselves to listen to what the other is trying to say - which puts up a very blatent wall in their relationship that will be very hard to get past I love Sirius but my dude, I feel for Reg in this one. Regulus is such a complex character and you guys did such a good job of portraying that!!! He's done some horrible things that morally can't be forgiven but he was still a person deep down. He still had traumas and was stuck in a position where he couldn't leave. Anywho on a happier note I was pissing myself laughing when Remus appeared out of nowhere and I'm begging for you guys to make a video where Regulus finds out that Remus and Sirius are together.
This was beautiful and absolutely heartbreaking to watch, funny and sad in not-so-equal parts. So many great and important moments and yes, I do have the need to point them all out individually: ° James sitting there like a mother waiting for her children to come home ° James saying that Sirius and Remus are "good friends" (I just know Remus heard that and was thoroughly appalled by it) ° James and Regulus falling on top of each other (*cough* Jegulus *cough*) ° Sirius wrapping Reg in the Hogwarts blanket and calling him "Reggie" ° Remus acting like a disappointed housewife ° The Dark Mark...ouch :( ° Regulus kind of being desperate to hear Sirius admitting that they had a good time ° Sirius and Regulus fighting like only siblings do fight and James trying his best to help ° Regulus HUGGING his brother ° them fighting hurt so bad I wanted to cry (I think I actually did cry near the end) ° Sirius screaming shattered my heart ° James trying to make Regulus stay and refusing to antagonize him because he knows he's not a bad person ° James and Sirius hugging Phew, that was a lot but, to end my rambling, I hope that it's never too late and that Reg and Sirius will make up. I need them to talk properly, apologize and be the family they deserve to be. James knows I'm right because those brothers need each other. But as painful as this video was, it is still a masterpiece of acting and storytelling. Please never stop making art.

I’ve been watching like all these videos a bit obsessively since I found this channel, but this video actually broke me. I’m trying not to cry because the acting, the emotions, the hurt it was all so real and I know how it is to be distant and struggling with my siblings but still love them. The black brothers had so many opportunities to talk and understand each other but they never could and Regulus ‘choosing’ his side is like destroying any chance of reconnection in Sirius’ perspective. It really hurts.

I don't know if he actually cried, but the delivery alone, brought me to tears 16:55 one of the most hurtful moments in the video but really beautifully done, especially by Jack And of course it is amazing to see Miles again and seeing him perfectly complementing the darker tone of the video, like...he can do both, how amazing is he? Omg, that broke my heart. On one hand I can see Sirius' pov and that he also needed a caring brother in Regulus, but I also understand Regulus, maybe even more than Sirius, because Regulus never had real friends he could turn to, unlike his brother. He was scared of consequences and I understand that, self preservation isn't necessarily a bad thing. At least it saved him from the cruciatus and god knows what else. Both of them were in the wrong with how they treated each other, but I think even if my brother had joined the death eaters, he would always have a home or safe space with me. Unless I saw my brother actively torturing or killing people in front of me I would give him a chance, and even then it might be driven by fear. Although I do understand the betrayal Sirius felt when he realized that Regulus became a death eater, Regulus felt that same betrayal when his own brother, somebody who should be his role model or best friend when all else fails, chose three people who he just met over his brother at home (in his 1st year) and later on again at least with words when Regulus came back searching for redemption or at least forgiveness. If I interpreted the video correctly that is. Sorry, I just had to process that 😅

Now I don't know about you, but I can't see Walburga or her husband doing that for Regulus, while Remus had the support of the Marauders. To Regulus (my interpretation), his brother couldn't care less for him and has given him up, so keeping in mind that he seems like a rather logical person: The solution would be to do whatever his parents deemed fit to at least have a familiar relation with somebody (apart from Kreacher). Of course, that is only my humble opinion, and you can interpret their relation and think however you want to. Also, good on you for reading that unnecessarily long paragraph, God knows I wouldn't have the patience 😅

I came back to this video again because i just realized something. One of the main issues between Sirius and Regulus is one of the main things that sets Griffindors and Slytherins apart. Sirius, as a Griffindor, expected his brother to stand up for him and fight for him because that's what he would have done if the positions were inverted, while Reg, as a Slytherin, puts self preservation first so he naturally can't comprehend how his brother expected him to put his safety on the line for him. They clearly love each other but its a difference of values that it's in confront here, which Robin and Gabriel portrayed phenomenally once more.
This is probably the most heartbreaking thing i have ever watched, the raw emotions and everything was just perfect and the struggle seemed so real i can't find the right words for how incredible this is.
I’m surprised they didn’t talk about how big of a bully Sirius and James were to all the Slytherin‘s including his own brother . In my opinion that’s is a big reason why most became death eaters. And like dude book Sirius and James were such bullies and you’d think out of everyone he needed to apologize to Sirius would apologize to his brother. Characters like this make me so sad too because they don’t get a happy ending! Sirius never finds out what happened with regulas and how he gave up his life to fight the dark lord….. it’s just heartbreaking
Where did you get he bullied his own brother? We only know that it was Snape who was bullied? Plus I’m sorry, they were in the wrong for bullying but they are not the reason why most people became death eaters come on now… that’s such a weird thing to say to me? Like they became death eaters because they hated muggleborns and were into dark magic? Snape and his gang were worse than James and Sirius? They called people slurs, would use dark magic on muggleborns ans call it ‘fun’ Lily literally called them evil. Regulus became a death eater in canon because he worshiped Voldemort, he stuck stuff up in his room filled with things Voldemort and death eaters did and wore his support proudly. Which is why Sirius didn’t want anything to do with him. Sirius and James wasn’t the reason in the slightest that regulus or anyone became deatheaters, they did that on their own and Sirius had every right to leave that situation, all he knew was that regulus was a supportive death eater. And he was, despite what headcanons the fans made up, regulus was a legitimate supportive deatheater. He just changed his mind after how Voldemort treated Kreature. Again I’m not saying their bullying of Snape which is all we know of is right, but I find it very odd when people act like they’re the reason that people became deatheaters… especially saying most of them? Come on now. James and Sirius hated them because of their love of the dark arts and being supportive of Voldemort already. Plus like I said there’s a reason no one liked Snape, it was because he was awful to minorities in school and was known for dark magic. He wasn’t this loner quiet nerdy boy people act like he is.
Wow. I am blown away. This was the perfect balance between the comedy and chaos of the other drunk videos and the drama and heartbreak of the other Black Brothers videos. The acting is the best it's ever been and the music underscores it all perfectly. And the Remus cameo was everything. Truly one of the best videos yet.
oh my god. you perfectly captured the beautiful tragedy that is the black brothers. i have so many emotions and will need 3-5 business days to recover from weeping. this entire video was incredible. the gut-wrenching duality of the line "you chose them not me" and the heartbreak with "he was so much more of a brother than you ever were." the way Regulus resisted being put to bed... it's like he didn't want to sleep because then it would all be over. once he woke up he knew it would all have to go back to the way it was. a part of me wonders if Regulus ever actually 'chose' anything or if he just sat silently and let it all happen because he was terrified of what happened to his brother. he was left in that house with no one to pull him from the deep end and so he drowned in it all [awful metaphor I know] they were both only children trying to navigate an impossible situation. instead of learning how to live, they were fighting to survive. Regulus saying "i'm going to go" shattered me because what it really felt like was him begging to stay. he hesitated, took his time leaving, offered to meet Sirius again at the three broomsticks. it was a last desperate plea for help. for his brother. for a way out. jesus this was just so damn good. thank you for creating content like this. i adore your black brother videos and even if this broke me, i loved it. (and James was such a wonderful surprise) excuse me while i watch this a hundred times over and cry some more. y'all are beautiful people and brilliant creators!

This video gave me what I needed to speak to my own younger brother and apologize. Our situation is so similar to the Black brothers; I left him earlier than either of us imagined when I got out at 16, but then he was alone. After watching this video (and the Black brothers' say it or shot it part 3), I set up an outing the next day with my brother and I apologized for leaving him in that situation too soon. I wish I could have done more as the older kid. He understands and we are officially on good terms. Thank you to the Dandy Lyon Club for quite literally helping me repair my relationships and improve my life!

You make me understand them both, so it's really so hard to choose someone's side. And James, whose energy is so surprisingly calm and soft here, so in contrast when things became intense and violent. Wow, that hit to close to home. I've HAD this fight with my brother, though to a lesser extent as our parents aren't pure evil. Just, Sirius seeing him as just allowing their parents to rampage, and Regulus so clearly didn't know what else he was supposed to do in fear of punishment I mean come on Jack there's no need to make me cry.
When we got a glimpse of the tattoo the first time I grasped! Poor Reggie, I get that it must have been so hard for him. Sirius has so much anger inside him that he takes out on Reggie, all the anger he should have taken out on their parents, he takes out on Reggie. It's not fair. Nothing is. This video is so beautifully done, it really shows the two brothers, on a different side of the coin but they are still on the same coin. They both was abused, they both suffered. Sirius got help from the good people around him, and Reggie did not. No one saw Reggie, not truly. Regulus is such a complex character and you guys did such a good job of portraying that!!! He's done some horrible things that morally can't be forgiven but he was still a person deep down. He still had traumas and was stuck in a position where he couldn't leave.
Anywho on a happier note I was pissing myself laughing when Remus appeared out of nowhere and I'm begging for you guys to make a video where Regulus finds out that Remus and Sirius are together.
This was beautiful and absolutely heartbreaking to watch, funny and sad in not-so-equal parts. So many great and important moments and yes, I do have the need to point them all out individually:
° James sitting there like a mother waiting for her children to come home
° James saying that Sirius and Remus are "good friends" (I just know Remus heard that and was thoroughly appalled by it)
° James and Regulus falling on top of each other (*cough* Jegulus *cough*)
° Sirius wrapping Reg in the Hogwarts blanket and calling him "Reggie"
° Remus acting like a disappointed housewife
° The Dark Mark...ouch :(
° Regulus kind of being desperate to hear Sirius admitting that they had a good time
° Sirius and Regulus fighting like only siblings do fight and James trying his best to help
° Regulus HUGGING his brother
° them fighting hurt so bad I wanted to cry (I think I actually did cry near the end)
° Sirius screaming shattered my heart
° James trying to make Regulus stay and refusing to antagonize him because he knows he's not a bad person
° James and Sirius hugging
Phew, that was a lot but, to end my rambling, I hope that it's never too late and that Reg and Sirius will make up. I need them to talk properly, apologize and be the family they deserve to be. James knows I'm right because those brothers need each other. But as painful as this video was, it is still a masterpiece of acting and storytelling. Please never stop making art.

I’ve been watching like all these videos a bit obsessively since I found this channel, but this video actually broke me. I’m trying not to cry because the acting, the emotions, the hurt it was all so real and I know how it is to be distant and struggling with my siblings but still love them. The black brothers had so many opportunities to talk and understand each other but they never could and Regulus ‘choosing’ his side is like destroying any chance of reconnection in Sirius’ perspective. It really hurts.

Omg, that broke my heart. On one hand I can see Sirius' pov and that he also needed a caring brother in Regulus, but I also understand Regulus, maybe even more than Sirius, because Regulus never had real friends he could turn to, unlike his brother. He was scared of consequences and I understand that, self preservation isn't necessarily a bad thing. At least it saved him from the cruciatus and god knows what else. Both of them were in the wrong with how they treated each other, but I think even if my brother had joined the death eaters, he would always have a home or safe space with me. Unless I saw my brother actively torturing or killing people in front of me I would give him a chance, and even then it might be driven by fear. Although I do understand the betrayal Sirius felt when he realized that Regulus became a death eater, Regulus felt that same betrayal when his own brother, somebody who should be his role model or best friend when all else fails, chose three people who he just met over his brother at home (in his 1st year) and later on again at least with words when Regulus came back searching for redemption or at least forgiveness. If I interpreted the video correctly that is. Sorry, I just had to process that 😅

Now I don't know about you, but I can't see Walburga or her husband doing that for Regulus, while Remus had the support of the Marauders. To Regulus (my interpretation), his brother couldn't care less for him and has given him up, so keeping in mind that he seems like a rather logical person: The solution would be to do whatever his parents deemed fit to at least have a familiar relation with somebody (apart from Kreacher). Of course, that is only my humble opinion, and you can interpret their relation and think however you want to. Also, good on you for reading that unnecessarily long paragraph, God knows I wouldn't have the patience 😅

I came back to this video again because i just realized something. One of the main issues between Sirius and Regulus is one of the main things that sets Griffindors and Slytherins apart. Sirius, as a Griffindor, expected his brother to stand up for him and fight for him because that's what he would have done if the positions were inverted, while Reg, as a Slytherin, puts self preservation first so he naturally can't comprehend how his brother expected him to put his safety on the line for him. They clearly love each other but its a difference of values that it's in confront here, which Robin and Gabriel portrayed phenomenally once more.

This is probably the most heartbreaking thing i have ever watched, the raw emotions and everything was just perfect and the struggle seemed so real i can't find the right words for how incredible this is.
I’m surprised they didn’t talk about how big of a bully Sirius and James were to all the Slytherin‘s including his own brother . In my opinion that’s is a big reason why most became death eaters. And like dude book Sirius and James were such bullies and you’d think out of everyone he needed to apologize to Sirius would apologize to his brother. Characters like this make me so sad too because they don’t get a happy ending! Sirius never finds out what happened with regulas and how he gave up his life to fight the dark lord….. it’s just heartbreaking
Where did you get he bullied his own brother? We only know that it was Snape who was bullied? Plus I’m sorry, they were in the wrong for bullying but they are not the reason why most people became death eaters come on now… that’s such a weird thing to say to me? Like they became death eaters because they hated muggleborns and were into dark magic? Snape and his gang were worse than James and Sirius? They called people slurs, would use dark magic on muggleborns ans call it ‘fun’ Lily literally called them evil.
Regulus became a death eater in canon because he worshiped Voldemort, he stuck stuff up in his room filled with things Voldemort and death eaters did and wore his support proudly. Which is why Sirius didn’t want anything to do with him. Sirius and James wasn’t the reason in the slightest that regulus or anyone became deatheaters, they did that on their own and Sirius had every right to leave that situation, all he knew was that regulus was a supportive death eater. And he was, despite what headcanons the fans made up, regulus was a legitimate supportive deatheater. He just changed his mind after how Voldemort treated Kreature.
Again I’m not saying their bullying of Snape which is all we know of is right, but I find it very odd when people act like they’re the reason that people became deatheaters… especially saying most of them? Come on now. James and Sirius hated them because of their love of the dark arts and being supportive of Voldemort already. Plus like I said there’s a reason no one liked Snape, it was because he was awful to minorities in school and was known for dark magic. He wasn’t this loner quiet nerdy boy people act like he is.

Wow. I am blown away. This was the perfect balance between the comedy and chaos of the other drunk videos and the drama and heartbreak of the other Black Brothers videos. The acting is the best it's ever been and the music underscores it all perfectly. And the Remus cameo was everything. Truly one of the best videos yet.

oh my god. you perfectly captured the beautiful tragedy that is the black brothers. i have so many emotions and will need 3-5 business days to recover from weeping. this entire video was incredible. the gut-wrenching duality of the line "you chose them not me" and the heartbreak with "he was so much more of a brother than you ever were." the way Regulus resisted being put to bed... it's like he didn't want to sleep because then it would all be over. once he woke up he knew it would all have to go back to the way it was.
a part of me wonders if Regulus ever actually 'chose' anything or if he just sat silently and let it all happen because he was terrified of what happened to his brother. he was left in that house with no one to pull him from the deep end and so he drowned in it all [awful metaphor I know] they were both only children trying to navigate an impossible situation. instead of learning how to live, they were fighting to survive.
Regulus saying "i'm going to go" shattered me because what it really felt like was him begging to stay. he hesitated, took his time leaving, offered to meet Sirius again at the three broomsticks. it was a last desperate plea for help. for his brother. for a way out. jesus this was just so damn good. thank you for creating content like this. i adore your black brother videos and even if this broke me, i loved it. (and James was such a wonderful surprise) excuse me while i watch this a hundred times over and cry some more. y'all are beautiful people and brilliant creators!

This video gave me what I needed to speak to my own younger brother and apologize. Our situation is so similar to the Black brothers; I left him earlier than either of us imagined when I got out at 16, but then he was alone. After watching this video (and the Black brothers' say it or shot it part 3), I set up an outing the next day with my brother and I apologized for leaving him in that situation too soon. I wish I could have done more as the older kid. He understands and we are officially on good terms. Thank you to the Dandy Lyon Club for quite literally helping me repair my relationships and improve my life!

Your acting and subtle details are incredible. Sirius and Regulus are both in pain and their pain blinds them... You make me understand them both, so it's really so hard to choose someone's side. And James, whose energy is so surprisingly calm and soft here, so in contrast when things became intense and violent.

When we got a glimpse of the tattoo the first time I grasped! Poor Reggie, I get that it must have been so hard for him. Sirius has so much anger inside him that he takes out on Reggie, all the anger he should have taken out on their parents, he takes out on Reggie. It's not fair. Nothing is.
This video is so beautifully done, it really shows the two brothers, on a different side of the coin but they are still on the same coin. They both was abused, they both suffered. Sirius got help from the good people around him, and Reggie did not.
No one saw Reggie, not truly. All he needed was someone to say "hay, I see you and I'm not leaving your side, no matter how much you try to push me away." he needed a safe adult in his life, because he never had that... He never had that...
