Overall, in terms of presence, they all stood out, but Jeongyeon, Nayeon, and Jihyo especially stood out a little more in this era (in my opinion). Jeongyeon especially during their stage was great, I could see that she gained confidence back and it's amazing to see! It would be interesting to see an idol performer ranking for them as I know where Momo, Jihyo, and Sana are usually placed but the others seem to change from era to era
Nayeon cemented her skills as a lead dancer in this one, proving is not just a title! And the maindancerfication of Chaeyoung in this era? She in the 1 to 10 dance video is amazing! Sana, Jihyo and Momo, as expected, this trio never disappoint!
Momo is one of my absolute favorite dancers to watch in the Kpop industry. I just find her dancing so satisfying. I think it's something about the muscle engagement and strength she uses that I find visually appealing. Whenever I watch her I think wow I should start working out and get muscles like that. But then I just end up watching kpop videos instead oops
Jihyo is truly the ace. She's the best vocalist in TWICE and an incredible dancer too. I agree with the ranking, Momo will be the most technical, its obvious but Jihyo's Dynamics + Flavor, that's her forte.
I agree with you I think a lot of people say that she isn't an ace because she is unable to rap but honestly kpop fans call ANYONE a rapper just because they were given a rap part. Anyways Jihyo really ACED this comeback.
Can we appreciate that jeongyeon has improved she has been putting more energy and her moves are more sharp. I'm honestly so happy for her I knew she had potential when seeing her dance in that feel special dance break she may not be the best dancer in twice but she really is improving and her work isn't going unnoticed
I think we all know how much of an ace Jihyo is but we really need to acknowledge Nayeon's ace skills too. Her vocals always surprise me and her dance is really enjoyable to watch too! Only if people didnt drag her for the line distribution (in which she has zero hand in mostly).
Nayeon is also an all rounder she is next to Jihyo for me but the only thing she lacks is stage presence that's why her dancing isnt really as catchy as Jihyo and Momo. There are moments when she's at the back or not in the center, her face looks like she doesn't want to be there.
Jihyo the main slayer. Her dance is so captivating. From start to finish you can feel her passion and joy when she's performing. Each comeback she is improving more, even though she has always been amazing in everything.

some things i noticed (personally) Chaeyoung and Nayeon improved both a lot when it comes to dancing. Mina is much more enjoyable to watch too but still not one of the top dancers in my opinion. Sana stays an amazing dancer and performer but I think she regressed a little. Jihyo and Momo stay on top as always and should be the Main Dancer Duo in Twice..
I also noticed that tzuyu stopped (or just lessened) bending her legs to fit the members height! I don;t know if that's good or not, but i always thought that she did better here than past choreos

I've been getting a lot of requests on doing a Twice dance ranking, so I might actually do one in the future yeah :) Well Chaeyoung was consistent with her execution both on stage and dance practice so I couldn't see why she shouldn't place high + she didn't show any difficulties technique wise. I can't hold her back just because she's a non-dancer. That would be a foolish reason :)
1:21 connected* This is going to be a little long, but it's your choice to read it (and I do suggest to read everything in case you question something). Let's talk about the girls: Momo: No explanation needed. She got it all. But I do wish to see her take some chances and add more dynamics to her movement Jihyo: I think I'm obsessed with her. She just delivered the choreo with positive energy. Nothing techniqual that lacks in particular Sana/Nayeon: I want to talk about the two of them toghether. Sana did in fact fit the choreo the best. Her lines and dynamics were consistent. However she didn't really stand out to me on stage. In fact, I couldn't tell what her strengths were when I watched her. But she still managed to score high Nayeon placed 3rd at the beginning and it was my own choice. While Sana fit the choreo better than her, I found Nayeons execution more impressive. Nayeon didn't show discomfort during some harder sections. Instead of thinking too much about a move, she simply moved rhythmically. (with that in mind, she could've gotten 10 in musicality, but unfortunately I caught her being a little off in one section) Interchangeable between Chae/Mina/Dahyun Chaeyoung: Of all the members, I was really impressed by Chaeyoungs hip coordination. She executed it so calmly without showing any difficulties. Her musicality was phenomenal. Her, Nayeon, Momo and Jihyo were the only ones who I could enjoy watching without over-analyzing their sense of timing (as it came natural), but Chaeyoungs musicality was the easiest/most satisfying to watch. Despite having great hip coordination, she could extend them a little more. Mina: Strengths show in her flowy timing and alignment. You might be wondering why she didn't get a higher score in lower hip as she utilized her hips very often? Well it's not only about executing them, but also how WELL and stable they are. Her hips was great, but general lower body was weak (stiff and loose). That's why she got a 6 in the beginning, but I moved her up after rethinking. Another struggle is the fact that she can't seem to move rhythmically (as if she got some lower body coordination issues). I hesitated a lot on giving her a 10 in musicality, but decided to rather deduct a point in coordination. Dahyun: I really loved her execution so much. She kept it simple and neat, and that's enough :) She had overall controlled and calm hips. Fluidity was transmitted to the choreo. But lower body was mostly underextended. Tzuyu/Jeongyeon: Tzuyu: placed last at the beginning, but I think I was a little too strict. She got highlighted mostly for her lower body, but as mentioned earlier, it's about the quality. They were too loose, and she struggled sharpening them (also shortcuts during chorus) Jeongyeon: too sad she didn't get highlighted enough, cause I highlighted her (more than Momo) on their performance stage. She executes sharply, which made it easy to spot her sense of timing and she added a lot of dynamics (on stage).
jihyo is honestly so amazing at dance she is so fun to watch. but lately nayeon has been really catching my eye in the latest dance practices and performances, i never realised how good she is!

We know Jeong was never their top 3 best dancer but her stage presence made her own the stage always. Our body needs time to get used to a new body when you gain or lose some weight. Especially while dancing. You will need to retrain how to use the new body you now have. The amount of strength and how sharp and smooth. And the fact jeongyeon shows us how perfectly in sync she is now with her body and the other girls shows how talented she is. She enjoys the stage so much with the girls and it shows immensely. Compared to scientist or alcohol free era, she is so damn confident on stage now finally. She owns this era so hard with Jihyo. She is exploding with stage presence and happiness. It's the same feeling when Jihyo is enjoying the stage so damn much as well. Idols enjoying themselves are just glowing and bright. Jeongyeons smiles killed me this era. Her confidence. Her funny side being back. Her small but impactful lines. And it's about time JIHYO IS ADDED AS A MAIN DANCER. That girl is BORN to be on stage and sing and dancer her ass and lungs off. She is for sure second best dancer in twice after Momo.
Based on pure vibes when they perform live, like the 2nd week M Countdown stage for example, I personally would rank Jeongyeon higher since she really put her all into the choreo w/o toning it down, honestly surprised. Since dynamics plays an important part in expressing the music - hence musicality - to me, the way she emphasizes certain beats through the song makes it more interesting to watch on stage, and it's also nice she does not simplify details or underextend moves, her arms are clean enough and not floppy too. What makes she got a 6 in Alignments though, this is probably the choreo when I don't see her have issues with it the most. And ofc Momo is good as usual, but can't help but notice Jihyo being comfortable with moving full out with that much energy and looking both flowy and sharp when needed. With Twice's generally more upbeat music, I guess that's why I'm drawn to dancers with more energy (but with control) since they 'embody' the music better. Hope that Jeongyeon could keep this consistency from now on (maybe other members could join too) since it adds a lot to the performance and audience (me) enjoyment lol.
I'd put Jeongyeon higher than that (she could even be within top5). Her dynamic, locking and power projection already edge half of them at least. I also would give her upper body score more.

After 2 years of jeongyeon having to dance softly after her back issue, this is her best performing self, this is better than her pre-back problem eras. I missed energy jeongyeon so much
I'm a once and in my opinion, Mina doesn't deserve the Main Dancer position. Just because she has years of ballet dancing doesn't automatically mean that she's a great dancer. Idol dancing is immensely differencing with ballet dancing. Aside from the lack of dynamics, she also lacks stage presence. In addition, I even saw a professional ballet dancer who commented that Mina's ballet skills are basic and average. It's actually quite bothersome when other onces (or Mina stans) appeals that she deserves more center positions, dance breaks, etc. For me, she doesn't.
Imo she does deserve it. You've been judging her cause she did not do a great performance in this dance practise yet Mina has proven to be a great dancer.
Fr they act as if she's gatekeeping the main dancer position or somethig. Like as if she made the desition herself to be a main dancer lol. I think momo has also really good dynamics ( she has improved a lot on that since debut), but one of the thing I love about her is the flavor she adds to the choreos, she has her own style which is so appealing to watch ! so I would give her a 9 or 10 as well ^^

She looks confident, calm when needed, energetic when needed, and always very clean and elegant, with a certain sassiness. you should watch her fancy dance video to understand what I mean^^

My personal opinion: 1. Momo. Obviously. Best details, angles, lines. No competition for first place, though this isn’t even Momo’s best work. 2. Jihyo. Fantastic with the power and dynamics. Relatively well balanced dancer in general in terms of isolations and lines. 3. Nayeon. Relaxed and flowy executions. Able to catch details and execute in a well-coordinated way. 4. Sana. Great performer with a good sense of energy throughout. 5. Jeongyeon. Dynamically interesting (only Jihyo and Momo can beat her here). Generally well-controlled upper body. Poor lower body control. 6. Mina. Surprisingly good hip movements and slightly better energy than usual. As usual, good lines. 7/8/9. Chaeyoung. Has potential for good musicality and dynamics. Lots of shortcutting movements. 7/8/9. Dahyun. Amazing fluidity, but lack of energy and extension really impedes her in this dance particularly. 7/8/9. Tzuyu. Good hip movement, and has her moments with great lines, but lacks the strength to do these consistently.
that's a fun question! Well believe me or not but I don't actually watch a lot of kpop dance channels (as they're barely any active), but I used to watch On the scene and I loved it. I wish they were back, but oh well. I did also watch some of KDDDs analysis and from what I see, we have similar mindset which is cool. She's highly techniqual (and I'm not) so it's great to see a more in depth analysis on their technique, so yeah I really recommend watching her videos.

This is something that I have been thinking about for a while now, but who do you think has the best torso control in Twice? None of them seems to stand out in this even though they are all quite good.
I gotta be honest and say I don’t know Twices members dance line that well and have never analyzed them in my whole life except this particular choreo. I was watching some Momo dance content yesterday. For me, she has the best torso control

Some references for you to evaluate their torso control would be the body rolls and torso locks in I can’t stop me, the pop in More and More (only Sana got this), pretty much the entire choreography of Alcohol Free, The Feels, the torso locks and circles in Scientist, and Celebrate chorus. Momo does seem to have the most consistent torso coordination and control, but because of her tendency to maintain her arching posture, her torso circles can be very unextended (e.g: 1:22 of this video), and she can miss isolations due to tensions in this area. But then the other members have their own issues as well. Jihyo struggles with consistency, messing up both her isolations and waves. Sana struggles with torso-hip waves due to imbalance development in hips and torso. Nayeon struggles with locks, strong isolations, and quick coordinations with other body areas. Overall I really don’t know lol.

This may come like a surprise to you, but this is the first time I’ve ranked Twice 😊 I don’t want you to think I’m not appreciating Jeongyeon just because she’s last. She’s improving, but let’s not forget that some of the other girls have a bit stronger technique, and some of them are also improving just like her. Jeongyeon caught my eye, and I’m proud of her. We should be happy seeing her sparkle rather than thinking too much of her placement :)
Don't get me wrong but i would personally put Mina above chaeyoung cause Mina has better alignment than chaeyoung and i will also give Mina a 10 in alignment cause she shows peak level angle control so i hope you will understand what i am trying to tell
I get your point. For the coordination, Chaeyoung seems to be a little more relaxed and in tune with the moves. That's why I ranked her a little higher.
I usually watch FelixPrism analysis and you guys highlighted different ppl for majority of the parts . Tbh I don’t think he highlighted jeongyeon at all maybe once or twice
On another note, while she is on count, I guess my issues with Mina's 10 musicality (aside from lack of dynamics) is that she does not have clear enough stops in her moves - and sometimes it looks like she just flows through the music and it makes musicality fuzzy. Personally I hope she could improve her control to get more details right (0:26 - did she miss the shoulder isolation (?), 1:22 weak chest rolls) and apply better shape and sharpness since it can be distracting sometimes (0:21- a bit too loose arms, 0:31 - 0:33, 1:35 timing not on point for me, 1:13 can't see her here but the L.O.V.E is unclear - the V one especially, 1:45 sloppy arms with "almost there"). It's nice that she has relaxed and fluid hips, but I feel that her shoulders and chests are a bit too unrelaxed sometimes. I guess that also explains the missing isolations and weak chest roll above, or like at 0:50 - it looks too abrupt, 2:25 her chest and shoulders are locked still while some other members can add an upward chest movement so they have more 'depth' in her dance. I hope to see her work on this (along with her energy), so it doesn't give off the impression of her being stiff anymore.

Mina has a really flowy musicality, which I also have an issue with. Thanks for pointing out all the other details. It hurts to critize her knowing she's a main dancer, but weakness is a weakness and unfortunately she has a lot of it. I ended up placing her below Dahyun at the beginning but got taken aback. Anyways, nice input :)
Hey! Is there any execution of an idol where you know they will be in your G-tier? So far the highest I have seen in your videos is Haewon‘s TANK with 9.6 at A+
Yeonjun received the same score in Opening sequence. But I don't recall anyone else. When you see an idol receive such a high score (from me), you know they got it all :)

well it's actually not that techniqual if you look at the criterion. Musicality, texture and alignment aren't something I consider to be techniqual. But Momo did stand out with her dance skills.

My POV: Mina is great at ballet, but not that great at K-Pop choreography. Her dancing too me is slightly weaker even than Sana and Nayeon. A youtube channel named KKKD something (sorry I can’t remember) is pretty correct when it comes to dance analysis. You may change your thought on Mina’s capability (no hate to out girlie)
I love her but she’s actually not that good as people always hype her up as a main dancer she is. She might be the best in ballet among members but in Kpop idol dancing, she lacks a lot

in all ttt stages its evident that sana is focusing more on vocals then dance now. either shes tied with nayeon or nayeon is a tad bit better

Jihyo: I think I'm obsessed with her. She just delivered the choreo with positive energy. Nothing techniqual that lacks in particular
Sana/Nayeon: I want to talk about the two of them toghether.
Sana did in fact fit the choreo the best. Her lines and dynamics were consistent. However she didn't really stand out to me on stage. In fact, I couldn't tell what her strengths were when I watched her. But she still managed to score high
Nayeon placed 3rd at the beginning and it was my own choice. While Sana fit the choreo better than her, I found Nayeons execution more impressive. Nayeon didn't show discomfort during some harder sections. Instead of thinking too much about a move, she simply moved rhythmically. (with that in mind, she could've gotten 10 in musicality, but unfortunately I caught her being a little off in one section)
Interchangeable between Chae/Mina/Dahyun
Chaeyoung:
Of all the members, I was really impressed by Chaeyoungs hip coordination. She executed it so calmly without showing any difficulties. Her musicality was phenomenal. Her, Nayeon, Momo and Jihyo were the only ones who I could enjoy watching without over-analyzing their sense of timing (as it came natural), but Chaeyoungs musicality was the easiest/most satisfying to watch.
Despite having great hip coordination, she could extend them a little more.
Mina: Strengths show in her flowy timing and alignment.
You might be wondering why she didn't get a higher score in lower hip as she utilized her hips very often? Well it's not only about executing them, but also how WELL and stable they are. Her hips was great, but general lower body was weak (stiff and loose). That's why she got a 6 in the beginning, but I moved her up after rethinking.
Another struggle is the fact that she can't seem to move rhythmically (as if she got some lower body coordination issues). I hesitated a lot on giving her a 10 in musicality, but decided to rather deduct a point in coordination.
Dahyun: I really loved her execution so much. She kept it simple and neat, and that's enough :) She had overall controlled and calm hips. Fluidity was transmitted to the choreo. But lower body was mostly underextended.
Tzuyu/Jeongyeon:
Tzuyu: placed last at the beginning, but I think I was a little too strict.
She got highlighted mostly for her lower body, but as mentioned earlier, it's about the quality. They were too loose, and she struggled sharpening them (also shortcuts during chorus)
Jeongyeon: too sad she didn't get highlighted enough, cause I highlighted her (more than Momo) on their performance stage. She executes sharply, which made it easy to spot her sense of timing and she added a lot of dynamics (on stage).

jihyo is honestly so amazing at dance she is so fun to watch. but lately nayeon has been really catching my eye in the latest dance practices and performances, i never realised how good she is!

@@psychorious it's been a long time since i saw a twice dance ranking but yes, people usually place her last. i have no idea why either. i mean she did get a lot better over the years, but in my opinion, even at the start of their career she wasn't as bad as people painted her out to be

This is why jihyo is my bias
We know Jeong was never their top 3 best dancer but her stage presence made her own the stage always. Our body needs time to get used to a new body when you gain or lose some weight. Especially while dancing. You will need to retrain how to use the new body you now have. The amount of strength and how sharp and smooth. And the fact jeongyeon shows us how perfectly in sync she is now with her body and the other girls shows how talented she is. She enjoys the stage so much with the girls and it shows immensely. Compared to scientist or alcohol free era, she is so damn confident on stage now finally. She owns this era so hard with Jihyo. She is exploding with stage presence and happiness. It's the same feeling when Jihyo is enjoying the stage so damn much as well. Idols enjoying themselves are just glowing and bright. Jeongyeons smiles killed me this era. Her confidence. Her funny side being back. Her small but impactful lines. And it's about time JIHYO IS ADDED AS A MAIN DANCER. That girl is BORN to be on stage and sing and dancer her ass and lungs off. She is for sure second best dancer in twice after Momo.

Based on pure vibes when they perform live, like the 2nd week M Countdown stage for example, I personally would rank Jeongyeon higher since she really put her all into the choreo w/o toning it down, honestly surprised. Since dynamics plays an important part in expressing the music - hence musicality - to me, the way she emphasizes certain beats through the song makes it more interesting to watch on stage, and it's also nice she does not simplify details or underextend moves, her arms are clean enough and not floppy too. What makes she got a 6 in Alignments though, this is probably the choreo when I don't see her have issues with it the most.
And ofc Momo is good as usual, but can't help but notice Jihyo being comfortable with moving full out with that much energy and looking both flowy and sharp when needed. With Twice's generally more upbeat music, I guess that's why I'm drawn to dancers with more energy (but with control) since they 'embody' the music better. Hope that Jeongyeon could keep this consistency from now on (maybe other members could join too) since it adds a lot to the performance and audience (me) enjoyment lol.
I'd put Jeongyeon higher than that (she could even be within top5). Her dynamic, locking and power projection already edge half of them at least. I also would give her upper body score more.

I'm a once and in my opinion, Mina doesn't deserve the Main Dancer position. Just because she has years of ballet dancing doesn't automatically mean that she's a great dancer. Idol dancing is immensely differencing with ballet dancing. Aside from the lack of dynamics, she also lacks stage presence. In addition, I even saw a professional ballet dancer who commented that Mina's ballet skills are basic and average. It's actually quite bothersome when other onces (or Mina stans) appeals that she deserves more center positions, dance breaks, etc. For me, she doesn't.

Fr they act as if she's gatekeeping the main dancer position or somethig. Like as if she made the desition herself to be a main dancer lol. I don't like seeing this kinds of videos bcos they are always people being extra critical of her because they put her as the main dancer 7 years ago. I think momo has also really good dynamics ( she has improved a lot on that since debut), but one of the thing I love about her is the flavor she adds to the choreos, she has her own style which is so appealing to watch ! so I would give her a 9 or 10 as well ^^

She looks confident, calm when needed, energetic when needed, and always very clean and elegant, with a certain sassiness. you should watch her fancy dance video to understand what I mean^^

My personal opinion:
1. Momo. Obviously. Best details, angles, lines. No competition for first place, though this isn’t even Momo’s best work.
2. Jihyo. Fantastic with the power and dynamics. Relatively well balanced dancer in general in terms of isolations and lines.
3. Nayeon. Relaxed and flowy executions. Able to catch details and execute in a well-coordinated way.
4. Sana. Great performer with a good sense of energy throughout.
5. Jeongyeon. Dynamically interesting (only Jihyo and Momo can beat her here). Generally well-controlled upper body. Poor lower body control.
6. Mina. Surprisingly good hip movements and slightly better energy than usual. As usual, good lines.
7/8/9. Chaeyoung. Has potential for good musicality and dynamics. Lots of shortcutting movements.
7/8/9. Dahyun. Amazing fluidity, but lack of energy and extension really impedes her in this dance particularly.
7/8/9. Tzuyu. Good hip movement, and has her moments with great lines, but lacks the strength to do these consistently.
Yeah I would also put Jeongyeon higher :)

that's a fun question! Well believe me or not but I don't actually watch a lot of kpop dance channels (as they're barely any active), but I used to watch On the scene and I loved it. I wish they were back, but oh well.
I did also watch some of KDDDs analysis and from what I see, we have similar mindset which is cool. She's highly techniqual (and I'm not) so it's great to see a more in depth analysis on their technique, so yeah I really recommend watching her videos.

This is something that I have been thinking about for a while now, but who do you think has the best torso control in Twice? None of them seems to stand out in this even though they are all quite good.
I gotta be honest and say I don’t know Twices members dance line that well and have never analyzed them in my whole life except this particular choreo.

Some references for you to evaluate their torso control would be the body rolls and torso locks in I can’t stop me, the pop in More and More (only Sana got this), pretty much the entire choreography of Alcohol Free, The Feels, the torso locks and circles in Scientist, and Celebrate chorus.
Momo does seem to have the most consistent torso coordination and control, but because of her tendency to maintain her arching posture, her torso circles can be very unextended (e.g: 1:22 of this video), and she can miss isolations due to tensions in this area.
But then the other members have their own issues as well. Jihyo struggles with consistency, messing up both her isolations and waves. Sana struggles with torso-hip waves due to imbalance development in hips and torso. Nayeon struggles with locks, strong isolations, and quick coordinations with other body areas. Overall I really don’t know lol.

I don’t want you to think I’m not appreciating Jeongyeon just because she’s last. She’s improving, but let’s not forget that some of the other girls have a bit stronger technique, and some of them are also improving just like her.
Jeongyeon caught my eye, and I’m proud of her. We should be happy seeing her sparkle rather than thinking too much of her placement :)

I get your point. For the coordination, Chaeyoung seems to be a little more relaxed and in tune with the moves. That's why I ranked her a little higher.

I usually watch FelixPrism analysis and you guys highlighted different ppl for majority of the parts . Tbh I don’t think he highlighted jeongyeon at all maybe once or twice

On another note, while she is on count, I guess my issues with Mina's 10 musicality (aside from lack of dynamics) is that she does not have clear enough stops in her moves - and sometimes it looks like she just flows through the music and it makes musicality fuzzy. Personally I hope she could improve her control to get more details right (0:26 - did she miss the shoulder isolation (?), 1:22 weak chest rolls) and apply better shape and sharpness since it can be distracting sometimes (0:21- a bit too loose arms, 0:31 - 0:33, 1:35 timing not on point for me, 1:13 can't see her here but the L.O.V.E is unclear - the V one especially, 1:45 sloppy arms with "almost there").
It's nice that she has relaxed and fluid hips, but I feel that her shoulders and chests are a bit too unrelaxed sometimes. I guess that also explains the missing isolations and weak chest roll above, or like at 0:50 - it looks too abrupt, 2:25 her chest and shoulders are locked still while some other members can add an upward chest movement so they have more 'depth' in her dance. I hope to see her work on this (along with her energy), so it doesn't give off the impression of her being stiff anymore.

Thanks for pointing out all the other details. It hurts to critize her knowing she's a main dancer, but weakness is a weakness and unfortunately she has a lot of it.

Hey! Is there any execution of an idol where you know they will be in your G-tier? So far the highest I have seen in your videos is Haewon‘s TANK with 9.6 at A+
Yeonjun received the same score in Opening sequence. But I don't recall anyone else. When you see an idol receive such a high score (from me), you know they got it all :)

well it's actually not that techniqual if you look at the criterion. Musicality, texture and alignment aren't something I consider to be techniqual. But Momo did stand out with her dance skills.

My POV: Mina is great at ballet, but not that great at K-Pop choreography. Her dancing too me is slightly weaker even than Sana and Nayeon. A youtube channel named KKKD something (sorry I can’t remember) is pretty correct when it comes to dance analysis. You may change your thought on Mina’s capability (no hate to out girlie)
