To me it looks like the Baby Boomers made a real break from tradition and were able to coast on the stability that was already in place but the following generations have been hurt the most by the deterioration of the absence of tradition but are rapidly waking up to seeing things aren't working like they promised us they would and are starting to tip toe back to ideas of tradition but boy is that uncomfortable and hard because it's real counter culture.
As a BB, most did not espouse the counterculture movement. Your statement seems to be generalized, to that effect. Keeping everything in context is important. The BBs were a product of post-war society that was filled with great anxieties.

Many of them were raised by parents who were traumatized by that event. How to we form the debate in a constructive manner between young people on the fringes of Catholicism like myself who are, for the very first time! Being welcomed into the Church hook, line, and sinker! The liturgy is familiar, the people in the Orthodox Church are welcoming and friendly, and it has all the pomp and circumstance that would appeal to an Anglican. And yet, for me, it breaks down on whether or not Jesus Christ and the theological question, should be treated as a god vs the more nuanced New Ages' Crazes centered around Yoga Taken To Extremes, Crystals, & Astrology of the New Generation. These are great subjects for Interfaith Dialogue. But also questions about the Nature of Christ in light of the Gospel of Thomas and the Nag Hammadi Scriptures. Thank you, as always, Bishop Barron! No matter our own religious affiliations and specific theological standpoints, we can always come together and debate Scripture and theology as fellow Christians towards the end of walking out of darkness and towards the light of Christ's love for us, given freely as an offering and a sacrifice unto God!

No, when I'm going to visit the country where I grew up, I don't abuse Americans who live in my native land. I don't need uplifting for battle violence because they are God's people. I love being American and their culture. I learned American customs and I'm respectful of them. For example, if I invited them to a meal, I asked them about their dietary preferences and followed them. I'm respectful of the American flag, I Salute the flag when it's paraded in Wilbur town, during the Pledge of Allegiance, or when the National Anthem is played, I am not in uniform, but I stand attentively with my left arm at my side and my right hand over my heart. When I'm working wearing hats I must remove it and hold it over my shoulders with my right hand over my heart. Happy 4th of July. God Bless America 🗓🌾. Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us.
