Thanks for watching! I have started a 2nd channel strictly for game playthroughs and everything gameplay related. This channel will be 90% lore from here on out with the exception every once in a while. :)
"we make you work 8hrs a day"
Wow, that sounds wonderful compared to 10-12s on salary
Great video man! I especially love the ending to this game where he gets rid of his phone for an old reliable walkman!
Mr Bullets monologue after killing you was something else.
A piece of wisdom here: be the king of your body and soul
I totally came into this thinking it was an anime that slipped past me but no, it's an awesome videogame. thanks for making this!
This feels like modern Suda51 (stylistically)
Hey bro this video was a great lore video!

Okay, look. The game's art is great, but this story is so cringe lol. It's a Reddit mod power fantasy, way too ham-fisted and pop-culture-influenced to be taken at anything other than surface level. Compared to the anime it's (supposedly) influenced by which were extremely heady and surreal with loads of subtext and genuine philosophy behind the writing and artistry. I'm just saying, it feels lazy to borrow the art style of Golden Age anime, the design of Turbo Overkill, and the gameplay of Anger Foot, and then do absolutely nothing with your story when all three of those things are insanely creative and imaginative.
Far out...
I just watched the video, and I have to agree.
The ending speech near the end does little to guide the audience, and outright spoonfeeds its message. Even though I like elements of it, there's this juxtaposing narrative that reeks of... Self-pity, maybe? Can't say.
The game looks fun for the most part, I just can't help but feel totally isolated from the greater themes it tries to discuss.

Yo
It just kept getting more childish. Lame brain stuff.
