Essentially one shotting everything. Its Just OP AF.
Mephilies (or however you spell it) was definitely the best part of this game. He’s the only sonic villain that really seems just straight up evil. Everything else in this series is hilariously edgy, a force of nature, or eggman.
Yeah, Memphis Tennessee was a pretty good villain. Shame he is, as I understand it, erased from time at the end of '06. Definitely would classify him as a force of nature, though, or at least the byproduct of one. Gotta love how Eggman is in his own category there, though.

I agree that the game itself goes a lot faster, but there's a difference between something being "bearable" and something being "avoidable" Upon getting access to any sort of paralysis, all enemies can die in a single hit, since picking them up guarantees their death. I wouldn't really call that "combat"
To answer your question choc, no, amy has never had the ability to go invisible before and hasnt had that ability ever since 06 either. Im convinced it a concept they thought of programmed and forgot they put in the game so they just went with it, evident to the fact that its useless and you dont need to use it ever
My belief is that they planned to have the Chaotix in the game, wrote up the invisibility for Espio, but didn't have time to put the character's in so they gave it to Amy instead of deleting it.
Or more likely, it wasn't supposed to be amy to begin with, but an actual other character that was supposed to go invisible, since amy already had her own sections.
I think it's just supposed to be in line with Amy's knack for sneaking into places. I think we're meant to take it less literally as invisibility and more like camouflage
I will never forget that when I did the ball puzzle in the desert, I actually got the ball in first try. Thing is, I used one of the vases in that room to push the ball rather than trying to hit it. Something weird happened with the collision physics and the ball just exploded and went FLYING. Right Into The Hole! I wish I had somehow recorded that because I had done some stupid stuff in this game, XBox 360 version though. Like how when I got the game, within the first 5 minutes of playing, I glitched Sonic into a building. No idea how, I just did.

I would go for Sonic just cause the speed sections. Shadow has similar issues to Sonic but he doesn’t have to deal with that, and due to Silver being slower he has less chance of falling off the stage randomly.

So I played Project 06 and you get a taste of Silver’s improvements so far. First Silver can move faster, and was given basically Jedi powers when you can shoot a stun beam now and have a reticule to aim projectiles. I’m interested to see how Chaos X makes Amy not suck.

I actually think it’s a banger. The story is enjoyable, balancing the perfect tone for Sonic (light with some edgier elements, but still cartoony). The levels are challenging and test the players reflexes a lot, the visuals are still gorgeous and the music is fantastic. The werehog can be a bit repetitive, i wish the combat was a bit more fleshed out, but it’s decent enough to be entertaining.
Fun fact: You can bring a box to the end of the ball puzzle and use the psychic ability to clip over the wall that prevents you from reaching the goal ring
Lol theres a theory that blaze was thrown into the game very late into development, because if you rewatch all the cutscenes nobody else but silver ever acknowledges her existence. Blaze was created for the sonic rush ds series in 2005, but yeah she is randomly in this game with a brand new origin and never acknowledging her own games

Evidence actually points to Blaze being a rather early inclusion. 06's leaked script describes an early Blaze design with a cape, which predates her final Rush design, so she must have been added before may 2005. The writer of 06 confirmed that the story was written as a prequel to Rush, and that's probably why her emeralds and dimension were named after Solaris, and why Solaris can be seen on the bottom screen during Sonic Rush Adventure's cutscenes. Also Silver was the first thing made for 06, during the Fall of 2004, so the earliest quotable date for Silver's creation is in fact before Blaze's (being the proto Blaze leak from 2005).

It's a tad jarring to hear the official voices of these characters since I'm more familiar with the fandub. Also, I was surprised by the similarity between the game and the fandub in regard to the dialogue between Amy and Silver when they first meet.

funny story. when i beat that dreaded ball puzzle, my game crashed after the result screen. which forced me to restart the level and the puzzle all over again. and it took me like, i kid you not, 10 or 15 minutes to beat.
Thats actually one of the main reasons I dislike 06, don't get me wrong we should move on from 06 and stop folks from using it as a means of holding back the Sonic franchise however it's indeed a bad game that dragged down a lot of characters (Blaze, Knux, Sonic, etc) really aside from the music, Shadow's character and Mep being a legit terrifying villain I overall didn't enjoy 06. That said 06 is by FAR not the worst videogame of all time or even the worst Sonic game, objectively speaking.

You can skip the ball puzzle if you put a box next to the door, stand on top of it and use your psychokinesis to lift it up. You’ll clip through the ceiling and can jump over the door to the Goal Ring.
Silver's kind of weird to play as. I said this on the last video, I think the idea behind his gameplay is cool, but in execution... Unsurprisingly, it needs work. Like the rest of this game. The other characters in his story are also kind of a mixed bag. Blaze is actually kind of fun, and feels like she... Well, works properly most of the time. I think Sonic 2006 Amy might be the worst character our of all of the 3D Sonic games that I've played. She's even slower than Silver, her hammer is slow and can only be used on the ground, and her double jump takes away all her speed in the air when most of the other characters speed up by using their air actions and none of them actually slow down. ... It actually sort of feels like they couldn't really figure out what to do for other characters to play as in Silver's story, so they just sort of threw Amy and Blaze in there to not introduce more new characters.
For that ball part at the end I glitched through the door that leads to the goal ring by getting two of the metal crates on top of eachother near the door and using the hover on top of the box power and it pushed me through the small Crack near the top took me a couple try but i did it

The game has flaws but I still think it's an incredible game and it's actually my favourite Sonic game!
Sammme! I'm a hardcore Unleashed fan, but even I have to admit it's got problems.
On PS3 and Xbox 360 it's the best.
I actually think it’s a banger. The story is enjoyable, balancing the perfect tone for Sonic (light with some edgier elements, but still cartoony). The levels are challenging and test the players reflexes a lot, the visuals are still gorgeous and the music is fantastic.
The werehog can be a bit repetitive, i wish the combat was a bit more fleshed out, but it’s decent enough to be entertaining.

Lol theres a theory that blaze was thrown into the game very late into development, because if you rewatch all the cutscenes nobody else but silver ever acknowledges her existence.
Blaze was created for the sonic rush ds series in 2005, but yeah she is randomly in this game with a brand new origin and never acknowledging her own games
That...makes a lot of sense actually. They probably had a hard time figuring out who could be Silver’s partner or didn’t have time to design a brand new character.
@@philatio1744 It's also why they retcon the fact the whole "her being from the future" thing and made it so that her Rush backstory is canon while Silver's backstory is retconned to be his Sonic Rivals backstory.

Evidence actually points to Blaze being a rather early inclusion. 06's leaked script describes an early Blaze design with a cape, which predates her final Rush design, so she must have been added before may 2005. The writer of 06 confirmed that the story was written as a prequel to Rush, and that's probably why her emeralds and dimension were named after Solaris, and why Solaris can be seen on the bottom screen during Sonic Rush Adventure's cutscenes.
Also Silver was the first thing made for 06, during the Fall of 2004, so the earliest quotable date for Silver's creation is in fact before Blaze's (being the proto Blaze leak from 2005).

It's a tad jarring to hear the official voices of these characters since I'm more familiar with the fandub. Also, I was surprised by the similarity between the game and the fandub in regard to the dialogue between Amy and Silver when they first meet.

As you can see, Choc had knocked over many chairs because he gets so tilted at the towers.
When you were fighting Iblis, I thought "oh, this boss fight is more competent than I remember", and then he immediately destroyed the floor under you and caused you to instantly die with no way to survive at that point. Classic Sonic '06.
funny story. when i beat that dreaded ball puzzle, my game crashed after the result screen. which forced me to restart the level and the puzzle all over again. and it took me like, i kid you not, 10 or 15 minutes to beat.

People hate Sonic 06 because its bad and glitchy. I hate Sonic 06 because it ruined the amazing back story that Blaze had in Sonic Rush.
Thats actually one of the main reasons I dislike 06, don't get me wrong we should move on from 06 and stop folks from using it as a means of holding back the Sonic franchise however it's indeed a bad game that dragged down a lot of characters (Blaze, Knux, Sonic, etc) really aside from the music, Shadow's character and Mep being a legit terrifying villain I overall didn't enjoy 06.
That said 06 is by FAR not the worst videogame of all time or even the worst Sonic game, objectively speaking.

Fun fact for ya Choc; Blaze, Amy and ESPECIALLY SILVER are written about 1000 times better in the Archie Sonic Comics, those comics made me fall in love with Silver's character far better than any of the games have ever done. RIP Archie Sonic, I still miss you.

You can skip the ball puzzle if you put a box next to the door, stand on top of it and use your psychokinesis to lift it up. You’ll clip through the ceiling and can jump over the door to the Goal Ring.
Silver's kind of weird to play as. I said this on the last video, I think the idea behind his gameplay is cool, but in execution... Unsurprisingly, it needs work. Like the rest of this game. The other characters in his story are also kind of a mixed bag. Blaze is actually kind of fun, and feels like she... Well, works properly most of the time. I think Sonic 2006 Amy might be the worst character our of all of the 3D Sonic games that I've played. She's even slower than Silver, her hammer is slow and can only be used on the ground, and her double jump takes away all her speed in the air when most of the other characters speed up by using their air actions and none of them actually slow down.
... It actually sort of feels like they couldn't really figure out what to do for other characters to play as in Silver's story, so they just sort of threw Amy and Blaze in there to not introduce more new characters.
For that ball part at the end I glitched through the door that leads to the goal ring by getting two of the metal crates on top of eachother near the door and using the hover on top of the box power and it pushed me through the small Crack near the top took me a couple try but i did it

Silver is forever associated with the "Dark Age" so Sega will likely never make him playable in a main-series game again (At least not in the foreseeable future) plus there's plenty of folks (both Sonic fans and normies) that either dislike Silver or are simply indifferent to him.
