    Im a huge fan of this plane, but im always so dissapointed that the final parts of the testing isnt ever talked about.
    When they got into the final phases where they could go to crazy angles of attack, they had a presserized air bleedoff into the nose that could generate a vortex that would pull the flow of air over the nose to the left or right in full control, like a vertical stabilizer that was made by a puff of air. You can find declassified papers talking about it, but they essentially proved the concept would work and then the rest of the info on it was classified.
    Funnily enough, its supposed to be tech that has made it over to the f22 and the f35, but is still classified for those planes. So there is a little trail of clues of how we control these 5th gen aircraft at very slow speeds if you read into the final bits of the project.
    Edit after watching;
    Haaahahaha you talked about it yeah baby!!!

      Half of the X-29 is based off the F-5 forward fuselage. The F-5 is one of the few fighters that makes the F-16 look big!
      In fact, the X-29 looks a lot like a Northrop F-20 with forward swept wings. The aft fuselage is not that different since they're both powered by GE F404 turbofans.

    When i was about 5 in 1979-1980 i used to have a recurring dream, giant 'stone' rectangular craft miles in length arrived over the cities. It triggered a global conflict, old war gone hot, and ICBMs started streaking across the sky. While watching this all and seeing everyone freaking out at the end of the world, there was a deafening roar and i distinctly remember seeing a flight of four of these aircraft passing overhead at treetop level heading towards the line of stone craft. It was before i ever knew they were a thing, but i dreamed of that exact shape and planform. Weird.

      No it isn't. Even AI generated content needs people to manage and fix it because AI ultimately doesn't understand what the user wants from it. If you look into how AI is being used, you'll see its quality is not reliable. This is why the best AI content are often made with a lot of editing. This is comparable to normal CGI. CGI isn't the right tool for everything, you still need to use it properly and have the talent, budget, and a decent deadline to make sure that no one notices it. Good CGI is impossible to tell from reality and is best paired with props. There are people that still looks down on CGI because they only notice the bad ones.

Why not limit the top speed like how the Hornets with straight wings and the F35 fly max speeds are 1.8-1.6 respectively. Fighters already don't fly above mach 1 90% of the time in fights. Why not, now hear me out... use the Ace Combat X-02 Wyvern style variable sweep forward swept wing? at higher speeds the wings fold in, and at subsonic speeds the wings fold out (im aware this will increase complexity and costs but still). The first two methods feel practical, no?

      @@rickyrico80 It's all stuff he said he was gonna do with his own mouth. don't watch no corporate news like CNN or Fox. That stuff is all hat. The only time i watch tv news at all is when there's a disaster or something.
      nah, I came to this conclusion by watching Donald Trump himself speak in full, in his own words, at his rallies and public appearances. This is all stuff he said he was gonna do. I figure someone who supports him would at least watch him speak, no? It's even part of the campaign literature. You should prolly look at that stuff before you vote, just for the sake of being fully informed about who you're voting for. You should do it for harris, too. I did.
      Like, when's the last time you actually watched a whole Trump rally, start to finish? You should, if you haven't. It's gotten really weird and dark over there.
      For example, he recently promised to enact the Alien Enemies act of 1798. Presumably to legally enable his plan for the raids and the camps. Cuz it's not normally legal to do that kinda stuff, and the military obviously isn't gonna act on illegal orders, so he needs an legal avenue that the courts will accept.
      If you're not familiar, the act requires a declaration of war. He's talking about starting a civil war. Against americans. Is that someone you really wanna stake your own name on? I mean, it's your call, but...he's not the same guy he was in 2016. He's the oldest candidate for president in US history, and it kinda shows. He's all over the place, slurring words and forgetting stuff and not being able to stay on topic. He makes biden seem sharp and youthful.
