- Started building the top part of the HF manual tire changer customization. Its an adjustable piece that will make it much easier to remove and install tires on the rims without damaging the rims in the process. I'll add another video once it's finished with a material list and some rough measurements.
Thanks for watching! Please like, subscribe and comment.
Remember, when you hear a noise late at night and you're laying in bed... that's just me... breaking into your house to eat your cookies.
You got a like for the gardening line. I love it!
Thanks!
Bruce,. "You had me at hello". I mean , " had me" at " grew them in the garden". Tooooooo Funny!!! Now to watch your clip.
Modification is often useful, sometimes necessary. Good stuff Bruce, I'll be up for my tire change soom
Let me know when you're on your way.
Glad that adapter made it up to you, looks good too!
Thanks again Mark. It's very much appreciated and as I said, if there's ever anything I can do for you, just let me know.
Awesome job my friend. Can't wait for the next video. Have a great week.
Thanks! You have a great week too
I got all my steel cut and laid out to be ground and welded. Thanks Bruce
Awesome Joshua. Hope it all goes together smoothly for you. Let me know how it turns out or if you have any questions.
@@BruceLyeg I'll definitely let you know Bruce. Thanks
Joshua klingensmith do you have your measurements of yours. Like the thickness of the round and square tubing. And the outside and inside measurements too. Not the length. I have that. Thanks
@@rickiet805 not off hand unfortunately I had to move because of a divorce
@@joshuaklingensmith7843 not good. It happened to me three years ago. Better now.
Looks like you did a ton of work! Well done and innovative :~)
Thanks!
Looking good Bruce! "A hole on top for easy access..." You think of everything buddy! 👍😂😂😂
Thanks Niamh. Hahahaha I knew when I said that someone would say something lol
Looks like quite the contraption there. Can’t wait to watch it peel a tire
Thanks Joe. I'm eager to try it out.
Hi Bruce my friend! Great video! Greetings
Thanks Marc.
Do you still have the invoice with the size of the square tubing and the thickness. And round tubing and the thickness. If so can you take a picture of the invoice to see the sizes. Please if you can. My metal shop needs the outside and the inside measurements plus the thickness of the round and square stock to order it. Thanks
Rick
I do remember now my stuff was .250 thousands thick. I wouldn't go any thinner than that.
Great video Bruce
Thanks my friend.
Awesome Bruce《☆》Good plan brother. If it works as good as we think it will :*: hmmm bizness venture :*: Happy Sunday here before memorial day on Monday 🤠☻🤠
I've thought about selling them locally but there wouldn't be much money in it for me. It takes awhile to build.
Hope you're having a great long weekend. Our long weekend was last week.
How's she goin'? Looks like a great idea for the tire changer. Looking forward to the next episode!!! Take care!!
Hey Mike. I just finished it and uploaded a video. Have a great week
Bruce where can I get tubing and pipe cuz Home Depot don’t carry them with the thinkness
I bought it at a place called Metal Supermarkets
Stay tuned for the next episode of
Bruce L taking Harbor Freight tools to the next level, cause we're gettin old and tire changin is a devil.
Definitely getting older. Hopefully this makes tire changing less of a daunting task.
Great job man👍 thank you
Thanks! Have a great day
Great job!, Bruce. Can you provide the length, thickness/gauge, and type of steel that you used in your project? Thanks.
Hey Carlos. I posted a video talking about the materials I used to build it with here ruclips.net/video/nmXVeLamRgU/видео.html
If you have any other questions, just let me know.
It looks like it’s all coming together nicely. Look out Kal Tire, Bruce L is in town.lol
👍🏻👍🏻🙂
Thanks Ian. I don't think Kal Tire has much to worry about.
Bruce L. From humble beginnings ........... 😉
we have tire stores in USA and they have monkeys that will over tighten your lug nuts and scratch your rims up for a little extra charge.
Hey! We have the same monkeys here! Some of them work at lube shops and strip your drain bolt too!
Okay I'm ready.
Let's see ya change a tire on an Al lou minnie um wheel.
You'll be the first to see it. The part that touches the wheel is nylon, so it should be damage free
I won't even get into the 6 inch pipe jokes..... Haha
Hahahahaha
Can’t wait to see this done what stops or limits the size tires yo can remove is it the size of the bar and the pivot point?
Hey John. Good question. I've only ever seen similar modifications do up to a 22" tire. I don't see why it couldn't do larger as long as it isn't a low profile tire with a stiff sidewall.
Nice job you have there.how much would you charge me , for making one I would gladly pay you .
Hey Thomas. The problem isn't the cost of making it, the issue is shipping. It's pretty heavy and I'm in Canada. Shipping would be well over $100 anywhere in Canada and like double to the USA
@@BruceLyeg Thank you for getting back to me 👍
Nice design. I was thinking of doing something similar to my HF tire changer. How are you spinning your mod around the tire when it often takes a lot of force to put a new tire on? where are you getting your leverage when you don't have the arm sticking out of the other side of your pivoting point?
I still use the bar that came with the tire changer to turn the attachment around. It doesn't really take too much force as long as you use a good tire lube. It takes a lot less force with the tire duck than using the tire bar alone.
Hybrid steel you have growing eh :) Looks like my kinda build Bruce 👍
I'm quite the gardener!
Should have used 10-10-10. I think the soil had too much iron in it. LOL
hahahahaha
I got a chevy s10 growing in my front yard. I'm waiting for the motor to ripen so I can pick it.
Don't leave it in the ground too long, it'll turn into a 1/2 ton
Looked at several examples: I'm sure I'll 3D print the cone rather than turn it, duckbill ordered.
Let me know how well the printed cone works. I have a 3D printer and never even thought to try printing the cone.
good job, you could pass the measurements of the thickness of the bars you used thanks.
I don't have anything written down, I just designed it as I built it. Here's a video that explains it a little better

@@BruceLyeg 👍
Nice mod
Thanks Antonio
Ever thought about fixing your camera somewhere so we could get more details?
I did a whole video on the details.
Just wrap it with electric tape and lube very good
Do you make and sell these if so let me know thank you
Hey Andy. I don't sell them. The shipping would make it too expensive for most people to consider.
Lucid Autowerks sells parts, kits and several designs and price ranges for this design.
Hi do you have any contact for mark cause I need this silver cone thanks

But where does that duck thing come from, no one mentions that..........
Mainly ebay, lots of different type on there
wat is the red thing called and where did u get it?
It's called a "Tire Duck". You can get them on Amazon or eBay. They cost around $15
@@BruceLyeg cool ty
Great idea but man your video made me dizzy just put the camera on the tripod instead of holding it in your hand as you explaining good luck
A little dizziness never killed anyone! I've actually started using the tripod more often now.
🤙
Thanks!
he must charge extra for that part due to Canadians having a reputation for being hard to deal with in the states LOL
Hahahahaha I was just telling someone about dealing with Americans here in Canada lol
Bhaya. Rat. Khaya. He
Bhaya. Namer. Bhajo
You don't need to buy that aluminum ring. Use your brain.. man.. put towel or rubber/ plastic.
Hahahahahahaha
