    Got this set as my most recent addition and i too can say (I'm a lil biased towards the Harman curve) this is a really good, non-fatiguing set. This offers Hexa-like detail (not AS much tho) but with a whole shelf full of bass, compared to the Hexa. You don't feel like you're missing anything, but still get a very lush experience overall. Kudos Simgot!

    It'd be interesting to know what you'd pair as a second set in the $100-150 range to use alongside the rinko. I love my rinko (bought a second set in white to have one pair with black/white) but want something much more spacious and nuanced to go along with the rinko intensity

    • @colinmartin9797
      @colinmartin9797 11 месяцев назад

      The yume are up there, but they're also $219. How would you weigh these as a counterpoint to the rinko? Other reviews I've heard also mention detail and soundstage, which seems like it might juxtapose well with the rinkos' absolute murder bass energy. Would the yume ultra justify the 2x price? I can stretch my budget that far if the benefit is there.

    • @in-earfetish
      @in-earfetish 11 месяцев назад +1

      I think I would get these before you swing at the Yume. Honestly there are just too damn many great IEMs and its starting to get into the coloring nitty gritty of what you want as the end user. @@colinmartin9797

      @@in-earfetish Thanks for the feedback, I generally seem to have a nearly identical taste to yours, so the advice was helpful - I did wind up grabbing these - they showed up yesterday and I've been messing with them since, they wound up being pretty much exactly what I was looking for so far. less bassy (but still enough) with a pretty expansive soundstage, with good imaging and great clarity. Yoshi Horikawa stuff is fantastic. only downside to 'em is the fingerprint-magnet finish (the yume ultra were so tempting just based on the looks) and only 3 pairs of tips. Perfect pairing with the Rinko, IMO. exceptional gaming directionality to boot.
      If you're curious about an amazing, shockingly cheap cable for these QDC IEM's, check out the TRN "redchain". It's like $12, modular with 2.5, 3.5, 4.4, a tolerable usb-c and lightning end, a nice bronze and silver 4 wire weave, and there's even a version with a removable boom mic for gaming like Kinera makes. I use them on basically everything with a QDC wire these days other than the jojo.
      Also try some of the weird new Coreir eartips if you can find 'em (they're finally on aliexpress now) - they have a solid brass core and a semi-tacky feel like the dunu SS. They're stupidly pricey but sound awesome and novel as hell

  • @LS-is5ob
    @LS-is5ob 9 месяцев назад

    Hi! Do you know if they fit small ears and small ear canals? I tried multiple iems now: truthear crinacle, aria, ksz z10, kiwi cardenza . None of them fit my ears properly the housing is way to big and sits on top of my ear and not inside, some of them even had such a big nozzle that it wouldn’t even fit with the smallest tips included.
    My main use case is for gaming, where directional positioning and hearing footsteps is most important to me. (Cod, fortnite, valorant).
    Sorry for this much text but i don’t know which ones to try anymore:(

      If you're that sensitive to shoutiness, I would check your source - they do like high gain at lower volumes. Also tips, the included tips are very shallow to the nozzle. Something longer like the dunu SS would put more distance between your eardrum and the BA's. But these are really not a very shouty set. Not much at all. Maybe your pair has a problem?
      These are a moderately warm tuning, but iem's naturally do have more treble than headphones, so if you're new to iems, buy like 3 or 4 different models of tips (moondrop spring tips, trn T tips, dunu SS or some dekoni bullets, sednafit xlastec, etc.) Because they can impact that quite a bit, but iems tend to all lean towards more detail than headphones (for better and worse), and just require getting used to.

      @@Kingkhan0440 I wonder if you got a bad set if it's that bad. My em6l wound up getting a slightly loose qdc connector and even the slight quarter millimeter wiggle it had was causing a short. So either you're one of the most sensitive people there is about it, or maybe you got a borked set, or maybe it just isn't playing nice with your source, sometimes a headphone and an Amp just don't get along.
