They dont make films like this anymore.
A truly brilliant Western. Top notch direction and acting.
Filme espetacular!!!!
He should have told those cowboys that he could eat 50 eggs.lol
😂😂🕹
The cowboy who got hit played Candy on Bonanza
Out of Africa theme tune. Laughable.
Out of Africa? are you sure. I am out of mind right now. 🕹😂
This film would never be allowed in todays' ridiculous cancel culture.
So true
I guess they just got tired of the Jewish savior.
I don’t know. Over the course of the film Newman makes a very strong case for the common humanity of the people of the original nations.
Because?
Ridiculous statement.
Hombre is the best western I've ever seen, for sure not one of the most popular one for a bigger audience. Brilliant work by Martin Ritt like a director and all other actors. At least by me, the deepest Western from the philosophical point of view. Ambient-wise only the Chato's land can compare to this one.
That is quite accurate narrative, 🕹
Certainly it's a movie from the 100 unforgeattable ones of my entire life (80 yo)!!
You might have hard time to put which first between Hombre and cool hand Luke on your list. @@carloso45 🕹😂
He sure made a good Apache.
Highly underrated by most but I always liked it a great deal. Lonesome Dove was probably my favorite though it was made for television and No Country For Old Men but I’m not sure if that is considered a western by the movie critics🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Possibly the most underrated western in history. It rarely appears in the rankings of the best, where others that are much inferior from all points of view do appear. Great novel by Elmore Leonard.
Great novel with great lines.
My favorite western. The dialogue and acting are first rate. Richard Boone’s banter during the stagecoach ride is hilarious.😂
Richard Boone was an awesome actor, and probably underrated. @@52hombre 🕹
what a nasty disturbing villain Richard Boone was ...
@@rogerzotti1 he was a good actor playing that kind of persona in western movies, 🕹🍿
Neuman's character was a proud, honorable, man of his word, and fiercely brave. Neuman's portrayal was epic!
quite accurate, 🕹🍿🎉
True, but he also was an idiot, there was absolutely no reason for him to sacrifice himself for those people, specially Dr. Faber.
@@marioarguello6989 He did't think about sacrificing his own life, he thought that boy would back him up.
@@motionattached He trusted his life to a dumbass unreliable kid and an old scumbag. Yes, he wasn't thinking
@@motionattached He didn't think too good, how did he expect Faber to climb the hill?
Great movie.... Paul Newman was actually just as cool in Hombre, as he was in Cool Hand Luke!
And he did both in 1967, 🕹🎉
Never been a Paul Newman fan but this movie was very good.
Good movie. I've seen it a number of times.
Star studded cast,American western classic.
That clip was not that good, I made a little bit improvement in improvement in the part 3: ruclips.net/video/Jb8hsqt4FYY/видео.htmlsi=6rijMGkvt11DBGR5
Using music from dances with wolves and Shane is totally unnecessary hombre can stand on its own
That is true. It was early experiment. Check latest ones. Thanks. 🕹😹
John Russell's actions weren't meant to impress. They were meant to just take care of business. I liked when he put that coin from the bar, back in his friends pocket. Showed a positive moral character.
This movie has so many great scenes.
so many great scenes and great lines.🕹
@@motionattachedJohn Russel to Jessie: “If it bothers you so much why talk about it.” Lol. I really like using that line when I think it’s appropriate.
Let me try to use it as well, @@MHB48615 🕹😂
Absolutely. The ticket office scene is one of my faves with a commanding performance from Richard Boone.
Never could imagine Newman playing the strong, silent type till I saw him in this. A great actor.
music, not from Hombre but good. Paul Newman was a commanding actor always.
I think they had to add it for copyright reasons
Am I dreaming? or is this John Dunbar's Theme from Dances with wolves
You spot on, a similar situation that a white was raised by native Indians.
Paul Newman is an Elizabeth Warren wannabe 😂
Super Film 🎉❤🎉😂😊
One of the all time great westerns
Great western Thanks 😊
Hombre was one of the best western movie.
Poor Apaches they never hurt nobody. Uh well.
" I got a question for you."
"how are you going to get down that hill?"
that question made the guy drop to the ground🕹😂
AWESOME Western film!
In the background a number of tractors are doing work!
Ha, ha! I had to go back and re watch this, but yup, there they are! Life goes on even through filming. Great catch by you.
Sehr realistisch, der bekommt eine voll ins Gesicht und kann danach stehen und reden... lustig !
Ich war schockiert, als ich die Szene zum ersten Mal sah. 🕹
Paul Newman merecia o Oscar.
He should win it in that year instead of much late.
Reality and subsecuently the values and way of looking at things change with new generations, we of the old generations can see that we are living in a different world, we ourselves have also changed.
Great movie
Die Filmusik gehört aber gar nicht zu diesem Film! Was soll das?
Ouch.. what cliches..... Native Indians drinking peacefully in a bar to start with? Most lack the genom to process alcohol easily, alcohol frequently leads to strong violence in that group of people, which i witnessed in my own family.
Why the music from "Dances with wolves"????
That was an experiment, more viewers watch this much more than an edition without that music. ruclips.net/video/gjXgYo2WEA8/видео.htmlsi=ItPzAM5ogVRnOhZ7 🕹🎉 people might not have attachment with original music, but emotional attachment.
Any movie is just another form of magic, to turn fictional thing into real thing like, sometimes feel so real, even become untouchable, which is not true. The essence is to tell a story to give people good time, 🕹🎉
They show it all the time on the western channel.!!!!!
This is one of Newman’s best. Good acting, good story line. Great cast.
And a good summary, 😂🕹
The ending is tense filled, isn't it.
a clip at the bar scene was left out. when the dudes walk in, the stage driver gives hombre a " all s....t here we go" glance while at the table.
You got that. It was a challenge within a 3-min clip. Enjoy late ones. 😂🕹
The background music sounds like “Dances With Wolves.”
You are right. This movie has similar background of a white raised by native Indians.
Sarışın mavi gözlü Kızılderili 😂😂
Yerli bir Kızılderili değildi ama o kabile tarafından yetiştirilmişti. 🕹🍿

They just don't make them like this anymore.
I think this is one of the best films Newman made. For me the others were The Hustler, The Verdict and Butch Cassidy.
That is a good collection. How about Cool Hand Luke (1967), that is good too. 🕹
@@motionattached Yeah there are a lot to choose from. I remember also the first one I ever saw him in was Somebody Up There Likes Me which I think was the first big hit that established him as a star.
Somebody up There Likes Me...
I didn't know it was Elmore Leonard. Great writer, great actors, great movie.
i never understood why they build roads too steep for the stage coaches!
as before it was just people on foot or horse back.
One of my favorite lines in all movies - Boone gets hte drop on Newman at the end and asks, "Well, now. Just what do you think hell is gonna look like?"
That is why I have to keep the line in the clip:

🕹
Truly a great film but it's so sad! Like the movie "The Sand Pebbles" (Steve McQueen/Candace Bergen), it's a magnificent piece of film making on all counts, but they're both such sad stories.
A great director would make a film either let you to be touched with napkin or to have good time with popcorn. 🕹🎉🍿
Paul Newman was a gunner on a torpedo plane in WW11.
A good movie. Of course the "Dunbar Theme" added here is from Dances with Wolves. Another good film is "Valdez is Coming" with Burt Lancaster.
Burt Lancaster was underrated, a great actor.
Ugh. Paul Newman doing black-face, ah red-face, ah cultural appropriation? I choose to be offended whatever he was doing! He's dead? I can't sue him? Damn! What about the studio, can I sue them? Protest!
It is just a movie, which is a magic to bring a fantasy to a real feeling, but it is not real. 🕹😂
Very good film.Great cast .
Italian Indians? Casting needs a little work.
not Indians, fostered by native Indians per my understanding.
Me encanta éste pedazo, pero John barri no le pega nada ,sobra por lo menos en está cortá secuencia.
La música es tan especial. Cuando vi esa escena, no pude evitarlo. 😂🕹
Great movie. Could've left out the music and showed the actual movie clip. Was there reason for the music ? Don't get it.
The music is from the movie "Shane", where a weary gunfighter, played by Alan Ladd, single-handedly faced a gang. The music echos a lonely hero seeking a defeat. the figure in Homebrew faced a similar situation, that was my experiment to elaborate a music feeling. 🎈🕹
I hate the dances with wolves music used!!
Fantastic movie
He and his wife made a cornfield--never saw an indian do that--so that I remember about that movie--35 year´s ago--good luck world --tue rollf

Those poor horses in the back of the stage coach.
I liked this movie, and I like the music, but the music is from Dances With Wolves, a good movie also.

Dances With Wolves music.
One of the best .
Pois posta esse filme
Dances With Wolves music for Hombre? Not to shabby. Fits.
Both stories had the background of white person raised by native Indian.
Music from dancing with wolves
That was an experiment. There is one without the music, let me which is better. 🕹😂ruclips.net/video/gjXgYo2WEA8/видео.htmlsi=LKEQYxSNPQcBDAm4
Great Movie!!
Newman's best movie ...
But it was not well recognized.
@@rogerzotti1 he had several outstanding movies
I've never seen the movie...I think the same music is in "Dances With Wolves"..another Great movie!
You got that right, you attached yourself to both story and music. 🕹😂
This music not from Hombre
En Castellano. Por. FABOR...
🕹
what's with the Lonesome Dove music? ruined it all.
That was an experiment to know whether a music is deadlock to a particular movie, or could be applied to a similar scene, in this case it was about a white raised by native Indians. I am little bit confused by the volume of views and how the music ruined it, help me out. 🕹🧩
@@motionattached ruins the tone of the original film
@@paulstanitz2723 Thanks. You might be right, I turn off the music embedding in recent videos, 😂🕹🍿
Whats with the John Barry music? The OST David Rose music was good????
An experiment trying to figure out if a great music is deadlock to a particular whole movie, or could resonate to a scene related drama, for better or worse, 😂🕹
@@motionattached Ah, Ok..
Even the beginning when Hombre is catching wild horses, 🐴 . The Stud horse was smart always protecting his mares . Hombre had to be smarter!

Thanks. Fixed, and check the latest ones, 🕹
Terrible editing of this scene
Why are you playing the music to Dances with Wolves?
A piece of good music is supposed to be more closely tight to a drama or scene, it becomes well known due to a particular movie, but emotional feeling could be generic. Dances with Wolves and Hombre are both about drama of a white raised by native Indians, and the wild west landscape. 😂🕹
Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke, a classic!
Wrong music.
When they asked Newman about his movies and they came to Hombre he said..."I was trying too hard."
He left a big heart there.
@@motionattached He was a wonderful human being.....sorely missed.
Great movie, l think he tried just enough.
Just enough! a cool and tough guy. @@jakeroberts7435
Great movie and great acting, but I've always been bothered by the fact that Newman defended the Indians in the bar, but refused to be involved when Richard Boon entered the stage coach office.
Movie represents him as someone who was raised as an Indian and chose to live as an Indian. The pic at the end of the movie depicts him as a child on a reservation. I think he was accustomed to the plight of the natives. The military put them their…forced to eat dog as was mentioned. In answer to your question…given the plot of the movie…Hombre had little use or respect for the US Calvary or the white man in general.
I think this was exactly what the director wanted us to perceive. 😉
@@edro3838 Oh, I get it. I just disagree with the approach. Being as it's based on a true character, I wonder if that's the way it would have happened.
auf deutsch wehre er sehr gut
Top three westerns for me. In no particular order: Tombstone, Big Jake and Hombre. There are a few other really good ones but those three are my favorites.
That is a good list, only Big Jake is little bit debatable. too many movies made for the Tombstone drama, are you talking about Tombstone 1993?
@@motionattached Yea, the 1993 Tombstone. Kurt Russel and Val Kilmer. And I left out the Cohen Brother’s ‘True Grit’. Should have included that one as well. And I love ‘Big Jake’. I know it’s a little much at times but I can’t help it.
@@motionattached What the hell am I doing! I left out probably the best western ever: ‘The Outlaw Josie Wales’.

What is this theme song?
it is the music in the western movie "Shane"

No.
Ho rivisto il film, credo 5/6 volte. Gran bel film.
Un film davvero fantastico. 🕹
Ma cosa c'entra la musica di Balla coi lupi? Questo è Hombre di Martin Ritt.....
