Glad you played the intro, everybody always skips that and it's the build up to the song. What a great tune from a great album. These guys were the beginning of power metal, Thanks Kai.

Yep, before it was called power metal we used to call it "speed metal" back in the day, the band members said in some interviews around those days that the best description for their music was happy metal, guess they were just having fun doing what they love

Dad's correct, I always called it speed metal, it was so much faster than we (of a certain age) had heard before. A great band in the fine tradition of German Metal, from the Scorpions to Blind Guardian and many more in between, Michael Kiske is a exceptional singer with a quite remarkable range. Two of my personal favourite German band's are Pink Cream 69 and Edguy, well worth checking out. Enjoyed the reaction, always nice to to someone 'getting into' the music, although I bet Bella wasn't to pleased, disturbing her comfort!

This kind of fast paced Heavt Metal was at the 80-ties sometimes called Speed Metal unril it came a Speed Metal genre who sounds more like Trash Metal in style. Many groups have been influensed by Helloweens masterpieces and a new name was often used in the 90-ties Power Metal. Some Power Metal like Luka Turilli, Raphsody incorporated more symphonic elements.
Keeper Of The Seven Key: Part 1 and 2 is on my 10 in top album list Kai Hansen is a genious in my world, the EP Walls Of Jericho is also fantastic but the singer Michael Kiske was not singing on it.

Try Avantasia or Ayreon; if possibly live.
A, in my opinion better German band or more to my liking, are the Scorpions.
Helloween, I never was a fan. I don’t like the way he sings. A bit to high. The music is a bit of everything all at once, little structure. Compare this to Nightwish or Dream Theater and you’ll know what I mean.
Try Sabaton with Bismarck (the song played on a ship). You can hear a bariton singing metal and it sounds great.

Little structure on a Helloween song? Specifically on Eagle fly Free? I think you just simply don't knoa a crap of music theory, the song is so good and is not a matter of taste, is a matter of musical experience. Nightwish & Sabaton would not exist if it wasn't by the influence of Helloween. Dream theater are OK but they just overfill their songs with solos and uncommon tempos to divert for their lack of real musical structure hahahaha you don't even know what you're talking about 😂.
