Shout out to ThemeParkThrills who had the original "ranking every hypercoaster" video. I liked the idea so much that I wanted to make my own. Check out his video here: ruclips.net/video/oRdZn4VPt3g/видео.html Also make sure to sub to ThemeParkThrills, he has some great coaster content over there!
I think thunder dolphin deserves higher spot on this list. By the way it is funny how exactly 61 coasters in the world exceed 61 meters height mark(and shorter than 300 foot also)
I probably didn't do Thunder Dolphin justice but it really just looks like the pacing dies after the first drop. Also there are so many good coasters on the list so I would only be able to place it so high. At its best I think it would rank above the dive coasters but I can't really know until I've ridden it
@@EliteCoasters ride it then, you can't assume how good something is without doing it.
@@yelpsky6884 That’s how most of these rankings work. This person hasn’t ridden most of these coasters, and that’s fine.
@@EliteCoasters well i thinks its fair to put thunder dolphin at least above the morgan hypers but mamba could be higher if you consider when it started running without huge trim
I’ve ridden thunder dolphin and ngl it’s kinda mid… honestly this list was kinda correct with its placement. It’s not nearly as forceful as others and honestly it just blends in for me.
The Big One may not be very good, but my drawing of it won me a fiver in the local horticulture show (I grew up about 10 miles from Blackpool), and I’ll tell you £5 was a lot of money to 7 year old me.
Haha that's awesome!
Seeing my local coaster ranked so highly brings me soooo much joy (DC Rivals Hypercoaster)
its my local one too haha
@@mayonnaise6847sameee
Yeah same. It is awesome!
yes same
Same!
I just love the fact that there's just one hyper in all of Latin America and it made the top 15. It's the only one I've ridden, but it makes me think I've been on one of the best.
It looks like a super awesome ride!
It truly dose but nothing beats steel vengeance that thing is truly a perfect roller coaster better than any Giga coaster too
Nice to see my home park’s Goliath at SFOG make the top 20. My first hyper. I remember waiting almost two hours to ride it the year it opened. Boy, was it smooth back then!
They really need to refurbish it like how they did with the hulk in Orlando that ride was rattling like Goliath is now, still a great ride tho
@@ctg5679 Goliath is really not that bad
While it’s true that it’s far from smooth, it isn’t rough by any means. And man, the airtime is so good and the valleys and helix are so intense! The layout flows so well too!! I just love Goliath
goliath was my very first coaster
Kind of shocked to see my Local coaster being in 2nd place.
I wasn't expecting it to be that high but yeah
I rate it a 10/10 and its well placed.
The only one of these I’ve hit is DC Rivals. It was amazing but without riding others it’s hard for me to say whether I agree.
Tysm for putting dc rivals at 2 🎉
Can’t say I agree with just about any of this but it’s still a great list!
Well, if we all had the same opinions, then there would be no point in sharing those opinions. Thanks for watching!
Out of all of the coasters I’ve ridden on this list, they stack up about the same. Other than Valravn being better than SheiKra that’s just wrong
I don't agree, he put diamondback at 22
I will say regarding The Big one.....the way the first drop makes you go flying out of your seat is amazing.
Counting shuttle coasters as hypers I see? 😔
"Ranking every coaster between 200 and 299 feet" is not really the best title. I don't really count them as true hypers, but for the sake of this video I did.
Pretty solid list, but I’d have the Morgan hypers over the giovanola hypers and B&M dives as I prefer wild thing and mamba to titan and valravn
Understandable, I just love valravn so much and the giovanola hypers look super underrated. But I can definitely see why the morgan hypers might be better
@@EliteCoasters The Giovannolas are definitely underrated if you love positive gs. Titan is at my home park and prefer it to New Texas Giant in the same park.
@@EliteCoasters understandable, but great list otherwise
@@beau_thielen I completely agree with the giovanola hypers but griffon is a amazing drop with airtime i think the old dives are underrated like griffon and mamba are pretty close
Mamba is definitely underrated
Asia is unknowingly the best place for Coasters. It remains unexplored cause enthusiasts rarely go to Asia for that. They already have loads of custom SNS, New Gen Vekomas and American parks still babysits their boomerangs, SLCs, and 4D freespins.
There are so many awesome coasters over there and I can't wait to visit one day!
Good luck getting into any of these countries now. Japan for example requires you to be watched like a little child to make sure you don't do bad things like not wear a mask. Every country in Asia is now North Korea
Tbh no, North America is better. Asia only has one RMC while North America has all but 4, and North America has a lot more varied collection. Not only does NA have more woodies, we have more B&M hypers. Really, North America has more of everything besides new gen Vekomas and B&M wings.
@@landonspeares Asia has the quantity tho and backs it up with a lineup consisting of some top 10 worthy coasters in the world
Omg I’ve been looking for this type of video for the past month
My home park is SFOG and I'm so glad Goliath made the top 20! At only 200 ft it definitely packs a punch
I love Goliath at Over Georgia! I wasn't expecting much but I was really surprised by the time I got off
i think the big one should be ranked 51-54
Its not that bad, you have some great interactions with the rides of the park and have a excellent drop
It looks like a solid ride but I think I would just prefer other stuff
Rating Dc rivals that high is wild
Out of all on this list: karnan, skyrush, and 4d coasters are on another level of intensity
1:57 bro that transition 🥶
I liked the part about hypercoasters
lol
Same
Why is nobody talking about your transitions? Very well made.
Simply put: RMC is that guy
Can someone explain to me how magnum xl is so much better than the big one and desperado. I’ve ridden the big one and will agree that it’s placement on this list is justified, I know people typically say magnum is the best arrow hyper but is it really better by that much of a margin?
I’ve never ridden any, but somehow most of the Morgan hypers seem to have a shorter drop than all of the others.
raging bull is personally my favorite b&m hyper, so this list is crazy. nice video tho
I can see it up there but I think it would need more standout elements to compete
Honestly I’ve ridden e every hyper on this list and I don’t think raging bull is that high. Lol. Eh my opinion tho
From the list I went on shambhala hyperion zadra and stealth amazing rides !! can't wait for project exodus to open next year for sure that will be on top of this list
Number 24 spot should gone if they built one at Six Flags St Louis.
Mamba should be higher than steel force because they modified it to where there are practically no trims and they increased the lift speed so it goes faster through the layout. Steel force has much less airtime and overall a worse layout in my opinion.
Superman ride of steel in front of Raging bull is crazy, why do people underrate it so much? It’s a top 3 B&M hyper which is top tier in the back seat.
Bro how is DC rivals HyperCoaster so high up! 😂
I think Desperado could definitely be a lot higher on the list. It has the triangle hills that Magnum has, while at the same time throwing in some other interesting elements and interactions with the building
True, but I have heard that it is extremely rough and uncomfortable. Only reason Magnum is that high is because I got a surprisingly smooth ride so I could really enjoy the coaster's airtime.
Riding dc hyper coaster backwards hits different
Glad you have Xcelerator on here. I am sick of West coast enthusiasts saying they have no good hypers, when they have this!
We have X2 and Goliath as well!
Think Stealth has been hard-done by here a bit, the third quickest accelerating launch in the world surely demands at least a top half finish? It's the most intense moments I've ever experienced on a roller coaster. If nothing else it should beat out Xcelerator
Stealth looks awesome! I just rank B&M Dives a lot higher than most people, and Xcelerator is just higher because the launch looks on par with stealth, and it has a longer layout
@@EliteCoasters Fair enough, I actually really rate dive coasters too so I can sympathise. IMO the 20% faster acceleration is worth more than some filler over banks :)
@@EliteCoasters to be fair, both are similar
In terms of theming aswell
Just saying, I think the Big Apple Coaster got new trains that apparently improve the ride a lot
I hope they do lol
Well... The last ones derailed... So I hope they are better xD
@@littenmil1613 actually the new ones derailed when they were testing them still, and they do make the ride much better definitely
Mamba is criminally underrated
Ikr it should be much higher and especially higher than steel force and the giovannolas.
@@ThrillzandCoastersmamba used to trim harder than steel force does
@@lemmofemmo used too, but not anymore
I think that #58 Pepsi Max Big One, #47 Sheikra and #12 Shambhala are a bit low for me, and I think #2 DC Rivals and #23 Magnum XL-200 are a bit high (so many people rank DC Rivals right near the top having never ridden it - it was fine but I didn't think it was anything that special!).
But the bigger question is how the hell #55 Turbo Track even makes it on here - I know it's listed as 209 feet on RCDB but I need to measure it myself - it's barely a coaster, and that spike really doesn't feel very tall... I guess the fact it only just pops out above the roof makes it feel a lot smaller!
I think that DC Rivals is pretty much a perfect ride for what I enjoy in a coaster, and I used to actually hate Magnum but I got a really good ride on it recently and I think that it is on par with Diamondback
Imo flying aces should be way higher, and it looks even better than skyrush since it has a non inverting loop, an inversion and it’s not filler like skyrush
You can’t disrespect my boy Ejenaika like that. Can’t be below DC rivals surely
Nice to see that phantoms revenge at my home park made it so high up in the ranks
Wait this video was so cool what camera did they use to record this? Cool :O
Pretty sure that most people use a chest mount or mount the camera to the front of the train. For the exact type of camera, I'm not really sure
Good Opinion. Can't say I'd agree, diamondback deserves a higher spot on this list.
Bart the Bacon it should
Can u do a modern version also where would Hyperia rank
Hey you got the calculations of Yukon Striker wrong, its 240ft. Also have you been on Yukon Striker because it is more fun than Behemoth
Its height off the ground is 223 feet but the drop is 245 cause it goes in a tunnel
When it opened in 2019 it was 17ft taller than Valravn Claiming the title for the tallest dive
RIP desperado, i tried to ride it last weekend and it said “closed permanently”
RIP
Nice to see D C Rivals take the #2 spot
Your #1 coaster is at my home park, cedar point rules!!
intimidator is better than Goliath at over Georgia, don’t know why everyone hates on intimidator
I love how appolo’s chariot is on the list but it’s not 200 feet
The drop is over 200
@@EliteCoasters Same with Magnum
Thunder Dolphin was amazing!
Heard very mixed opinions on this one but I could easily see it going either way
Uhhh. Not all all of these coasters are hypers. First of, hypers ain’t dive coasters. Second, hyper coasters don’t have inversions.
Holy crap flying aces is low, most people say amazing things about that
I've heard very conflicting thoughts on that coaster. I feel like at its best it would be just a little bit better than the B&M hypers but the pacing looks not very good on the POV, and then some people say that it runs faster than in the POVs so I don't really know what to think of that ride lol
General consensus is that Flying Aces pisses allover Skyrush
The big one isn’t as bad as you’d think, better drop then any dive coaster
Ok know your just making me think, what drop is better Big one or Obliviom.
The drop looks great but the rest of the ride doesnt look like it really does anything. I probably would like it a lot because of the speed though
Diamondback at kings island that low is just criminal
The thing I least agree with is that Shambhala isn't even in the top 10. Have you even ridden it?
I've ridden the similar Diamondback at Kings Island and I loved that ride, and shambhala looks even better. I just prefer a more intense experience.
My Intrimidator from Carowinds made the list. Awesome and one of the best Coasters in the Park
I've ridden Diamondback at Kings Island, and judging by how much I loved that ride, I think that I would really like Intimidator!
@@EliteCoasters You would enjoy it. To bad Carowinds only offers 4 great coaster's.
@@justinallman7049 Those 4 coasters all look amazing so I will definitely need to get to Carowinds one day!
@@EliteCoasters Definitely one day. I need to go to other parks myself. I've only been to Carowinds and Disney and Universal.
One day I’ll make it to Carowinds, but atleast I have the giga Intamin intimidator at my home park. 😉
How many of these have you been on?
I don’t really count non full circuit 200ft coasters as hyper coasters
Neither do I but "ranking every coaster over 200 feet" is not as good of a title
All of the japanese coasters on this list were violated. Thunder dolphin below mild thing, fujiyama below diamondback and ejanaika below anything makes me sad. Also I can't say I agree on the placement of Hyperion, it's an elite coaster from the first drop until the dive loop and then the rest is underwhelming, from the weak speed hills to the "floater hill" with no airtime. I think it would be awesome to see how your opinions change after riding a good chunk of these since a lot of coasters ride a lot better than they look.
Also out of curiosity do you have any idea where you might rank Hakugei in this list (particularly out of the hyper hybrids) since I find people seem to have pretty polarizing views on the ride.
Hakugei could either be lesser than the hyper hybrids or it could defeat all of them, and i could easily see it going either way
ya forgot lightning rod (pretty sure it’s a hyper coaster) and wild eagle…
holy cow what makes dc rivals so good? it looks cool but not better than iron gwazi or eeijanaika
also diamondback getting underrated as usual
Why does Draken give me anxiety? Like their feet might you know, tear off 🙃
Must be the angle that the POV was shot from because I agree it looks like that dude's fit would hit the track
My top 10 hypers prediction
1. DC Rivals
2. Eejaniaka
3. Dinoconda
4. Steel Vengeance
5. Iron Gwazi
6. Skyrush
7. Karnan
8. Zadra
9. Superman El Ultimo Escape
10. X2
Good list! I could definitely see that being the list if I rode all these
i would say move skyrush down to 7th and replace karnan with superman: the ride. then replace x2 with karnan. thats just my opinion but good list
Superman at 6 flags NE is better than the Spanish one
@@topgunjoeicdbko I've heard some mixed things about both, but the spanish one just looks more appealing to me. The SFNE version is around #12 on my list, so they aren't that far apart.
Personally, non biased, (I go to Busch gardens all the time) griffon should have totally been top ten. I honestly can’t put it into a RUclips comment bc I hate typing on mobile, so just look at video reviews to realize why it deserved top ten. (Apollos chariot deserved top five tho)
No superman/bizarro SFNE?
Edit: WHATTTT IT MADE IT TOP 10?!?!
My fav is a woodie, El Toro (rip) at my home park
For shits and giggles, I was hoping you put Orion somewhere on the list cause some people wanna consider it a Hyper coaster, not a Giga.
I'm a hardcore Orion defender. It's a giga lol
Love that the two hypers near me are both last and 2nd to last respectfully. 🥲
And there the Australia Hypeecoaster Thank For That
Big one deserves to be higher in this list
How is steel vengeance iron Gwazi and Zaria a hyper they are rmc hybrid
I mean zadra
Is fury a hyper coaster
Nope, it’s a Giga coaster. A giga has a height and/or drop of 300-399ft. A hyper has a height and/or drop of 200-299ft.
*yes*
where is expedition geforce because if it was here it would def be top 10?
expedition geforce doesn't quite reach 200 feet
@@EliteCoasters ohh yeaa my bad i forgot its like 174 or sum. If it was 200 feet would you put it in top 10?
@@yessirphizzy6916 yes
@@EliteCoasters thats great where do you think it would rank?
@@yessirphizzy6916 just above karnan
i was just waiting for stealth as thats the only one ive ridden as a 9 year old
question. where is Orion at kings island?
Most people consider that a giga coaster because of its 300 foot drop
This list is so weird I bet you haven’t even ridden them! Lmao
I haven't ridden most of these coasters, but I have ridden at least one coaster from most of the hyper coaster models, so I have a good idea of what I would prefer in a hypercoaster.
@@EliteCoasters some rides look the same but are drastically different, also if you make this list again only put full circuit rollercoasters on the list. Also put a disclaimer saying you have not ridden all of them.
Also only put rides available to the public on this list, Iron Gwazi is not open.
@@Pyarthepro well I wanted to include future coasters
This person obv hasn't ridden many of these, how could you put shambhala that low, its better than hyperion
Yeah definitely
I could see it going either way because hyperion looks to deliver everything I love in a coaster.
How can you rank iron gwazi is n this video when Not even open yet
Layout is similar to zadra
Dc rivals hyper coaster??
Kinda funny how my local coaster can 2nd 😂
I have been on the dc rivals hyper coaster
I think DC Rivals is pretty overated, it looks good, but I don't think it would be better than Hyper-Hybrids. Other than that, solid list to me.
As someone who has been on it, it is not as crazy and amazing as everyone says but it is still worth your time
@@jschn7074 You been on it in the back row (backwards)? I remember that being legitimately insane
@@tric0art no I have not been on it backwards

what is a hypercoaster?
Any roller coaster that has a height or drop of 200 feet / 61 meters or more

NUMBER 1 BABY BEST COASTER OF ALL TIME!!!!
Diamondback at 22 is a wrong opinion, I'm not sorry. Either it or mako are at least the best B&M hypers, but putting Behemoth, Goliath, and Candymonium as better than diamondback is just wrong 🤣
Steel Force is a really good hyper and probably should be higher
I've heard very mixed reviews on it, but I can definitely see it higher if the airtime really does deliver
Lost me when Apollo’s chariot was ranked so low
#43? That’s easily a top 20 or lower hyper
Why is Eej lower than Dinoconda that makes no sense lol
called it steel vengence
