It's so cute. Those three always have the same purpose, I think. Each in his own way but where other people can't handle Sherlock being Sherlock, they can stand. They can get irritated, enraged, simply overclassed or passed by, but always they can handle it. Because they love him. Each in his own again, but they love him and that hidden fact makes them a barrier to not only protect the world against Sherlock but also the great detective against himself sometimes.
That was the first time I understood the Chorus sings "Family"... and yes they are a big, gay Family ^^ (I mean happy, of course;) the song will never be the same, thank you
