My version of this dish also includes carrots and daikon radish (日本大根蘿蔔) or turnip (蘿蔔). It just happens that I bought a large pack of chicken thighs this morning and am trying to decide how I want to cook them -- French, Italian, Chinese, etc. Your video has just persuaded me to do Japanese curry chicken, because I have not made it in a long time.
