    Oh my friend... I love your incredible collection! And I thought I was crazy for collecting the small Western Electric display I have. You have EVERY telephone I have PLUS everything else I want. My guess is that you live in England because you do seem to have more of those beautiful GPO models than the Bell System phones. You also have my FAVORITE British Telecom phone the "Trim Phone"... I think that's what you blokes call a model 742. Congratulations on a job well done! 😂 Love it! ❤

    At about 5:00, you show a Bell System Trimline phone with a pushbutton dial. The rotary dial version had a smaller than standard size dial. The finger stop moved so the dial could be made smaller. Apparently absent from your collection is the Alexander Graham Plane phone, made by Northern Telecom in Canada. The rotary dial was built into the propeller.

    Great Collection have you ever considered hooking up a as analog Panasonic phone switching system like a kxt 616 or 1232 and connecting all of them to a little tiny PBX It could actually dial one number from like a cordless phone and every rotary set you have in the picture there up to 32 of them would be ringing on a kind of a circular ringing pattern that's pretty crazy You should check it out

    Wow what a great collection of classic telephones you have. They sure look really cool!
    4:23 Is that a telephone from the former Soviet Union? I'm just wondering that's all
    8:05 One of those telephones which looks like a clam. I've never seen it before in my entire life. It must be extremely rare.
    Anyway good evening from Ireland!

    • @vintagetelephones6590
      @vintagetelephones6590  2 года назад +1

      This Soviet one is an RWT CB664 made in Poland made for export, hence the Cyrillic letters on the dial. The clam telephone is made in USA by Teleconcepts. Model is called the "Shellamar" made in the late 70s/ early 80s.

    • @mariagdesjardin1000
      @mariagdesjardin1000 5 лет назад

      Yes, as long as the phone (and the house) has those plastic clip plug things. Answering machine plugs into the wall, phone plugs into the answering machine. If the phone has no clip, just wires, you would need to buy and install the clip first, which is not terribly hard.
