Narsampet is a town in Warangal district of the Indian state of Telangana. Narsampet is a Mandal in Warangal Rural District of Telangana State, India. Headquarters of Narsampet Revenue Division is in Narsampet Town.
The beautiful Warangal City not only houses some extraordinary monuments but also charms its visitors with the beautiful Pakhal Lake. Pakhal is about 43 km and 10 km from Narsampet town, on the east of Warangal City. The lake is picturesque on moonlit nights. This is a popular picnic spot in Warangal. The lake was constructed in the 1213 AD by the Kakatiya king Ganapathi Dev.
The Pakhal lake which is enveloped by the scenic forested hills is spread over an area of 30 km2. The harness of a small tributary of the River Krishna is a must-see sight.
