    ThriftBooks is one of my favorite book resources! Especially since I purchase so many at once, I end up getting points for free books! Also, any purchase of $10 or more has free shipping!
    Our local library has a “Friends of the Library” sale twice a year. At the last sale, I purchased 30 books for $3.75 total! I always keep a running list of books I’m looking for stored in my phone, just in case.

    The first time I used book outlet last year I was so shocked at the books they had! You would think it would be random books but it’s really good ones!

    I love book outlet! Last year when our library was closed and my daughter was just getting to the early reader level I placed a few different orders and stocked our bookshelves with great books my daughter can read.

    Thrift books is way better than book outlet. If you have a list of books you are looking for.....I took a list of over 20 books to purchase and found 1 at book outlet. I found all but 1 of the same list at thriftbooks. Hands down, better experience on thriftbooks.

      Book outlet varies on what they have so sometimes the choices are sparse and thrift books is way better those times and other times book outlet gets a great stock of children’s books so I always check both to see which has the better deal in the moment.

    A few of those books are recommended for 3rd grade read-alouds on Memoria Press and Notgrass History. I’m reading The Whipping Boy to our son currently because it was read to my class when I was in 3rd grade I believe. :)

    I prefer to buy books new from Rainbow Resources. For me the savings doesn’t justify buying used. I found it’s only 50 cents to a dollar savings for a used book. If I buy used I prefer to only pay 50% or less of the original cost.

    • @LifeintheMundane
      @LifeintheMundane  3 года назад

      I love Rainbow Resources and yes with buying used you have to be very aware of the original price and make sure the savings is worth it.

    I saw a book haul video on bookoutlet. I ordered $35 to avoid shipping. Which is higher requirement than thriftbooks. Anyhow they advertised foil lined pages. No preview. But I ordered the classics. There was no foil and the print was tiny and the layout terrible. When I reached out they said that they would not let me return without paying shipping costs nor would they credit me even with proof that the description was misleading. I can't say they are a company I would ever use again.

    How do you squeeze so many read alouds throughout your school year?

    • @LifeintheMundane
      @LifeintheMundane  3 года назад +1

      We do at least one a month and we year round homeschool but some are very short or they are quick reads so we can finish more like 2 in a month
