It’s crazy that they chose plays that are either fairly recent or as far back as 2014. Just shows how dominant Faker has been for more than a decade now. The GOAT.
The Riven play is one of the most iconic. Faker's apm and reaction time from 12 years ago and until now with 10% hp sylas on chovy ahri is so consistent it really impresses me. I still doubt anybody could dodge that Cassiopia ult.
Nowadays it doesn't look as impressive but at the time it was insane. No one was reacting to spell animations like that, instead of just predicting. He normalized the fact that it was possible and that it should become a common skill.
It was also the moment where he reclaimed his crown. Like yes, it wasn't even the last game of the series, nor was it the finals, but this will always be the moment where we all say that Faker truly returned for his crown.
I really liked when he picked off Hans Sama with Ahri at this year's MSI. He was playing Ahri, G2 were about to break into their base and possible win the series 3-2, but then Faker saved the game and they won the series.
You've got to be a long time Faker fan to remember his Riven dodging that Cassiopeia ult. It was literally a "holy, what the fuck" moment because no one even knew Cassiopeia ult could be dodged like that.
@@m.l.2871 True, I started playing league in 2019, and took interest in esports in 2021, and even I know every single play they mentioned in this video, let alone the Cass one
In his interview faker said it was a mistake Faker "that play was a mistake" Interviewer "You didn't mean to turn?" Faker "I meant to completely turn around, not just sideways"
@@tae-whankim9821 Lol, imagine calling a play like that a mistake, because it was meant to be better... Well, he later redeemed himself by dodging countless other Cassiopeia ults.
Mechanically its The zed 1v1 against Ryu. However, the Azir flash ult against ruler Varus is probably the best when considering the impact it did and the history behind the players.
My favorite Faker play was one of his OG SoloQ highlight montages where he jukes a Shyvana on Akali by jumping to her right before she dragon forms over the wall.
That Cassiopeia play is probably the biggest reason why Cassio is trash now. Cassio at that point is actually very very strong. But players realized that there's a mechanical window to outplay Cassio consistently. Almost everyone tried to replicate this weaving backwards movement and it became so good Cassio is now counterable no matter what champ you play.
Trash? Literally after they made her W no longer have a fixed range, she became a nightmare to deal with for champs who can't approach her. The reason why Faker picked Riven into Cassio is because Cassio eats Ryze alive, but Riven can dash in before Cassio puts down her W. Cassio is NOWHERE NEAR as trash as you say.
LCK 2024 Spring i think....Azir, in the blue side jungle. his whole team got killed, he shuffled, ulted the whole Gen.G team, flashed out to ensure his soldiers were the one attacking, E for shield, and just killed 4 of them
my favorite play was in 2013, against najin on his ahri, he kited i think renekton or shen back while hitting minions then used his Q to heal up and ended up winning the game
As a lissandra main, my favorite faker play was the lissandra baron 3v5 at MSI 2022 against RNG It wasnt anything crazy but it was prime lissandra gameplay
my two non-mentioned favorites are one where he dodges an insane amount of skillshots with orianna on top redside, and another where he is playing karthus and dodges ahri skillshots around redside blue, i cant find this latter clip anywhere though
I think I found the second one but it's a ladder game, not a competitive game. It's on youtube with the title "SKT T1 Faker Karthus vs Ahri KR LOL Challenger" and the play you're mentioning is at 20:58.
@@Armaganth ah I've found it, though it is less impressive than what I had remembered, since he is using ghost and flashes the last skillshot still nice though, ty
@@rayaqin You're welcome ! While I'm at it, do you perhaps remember an old game where Faker plays Orianna into Ziggs mid and dodges every single Ziggs bomb, particularly at one point in the game when they are between the mid lane and the top river ?
I'll be honest it's hard to top Faker's shuffle vs Ruler last year But Faker literally descending down from the heavens to back up Zeus in game 5 is comfortably in the same vein.
Other Faker highlights so you know: 1. Faker Ori Shockwave (vs EDG) 2. Zed vs Zed (vs Ryu) 3. Unkillable Ori ghost escape 4. Faker Juke flash on Akali (vs Caps' Zoe)
My favorite faker play is when the Caster shouted: "Faker Shockwave Will find them all" still give me chills
So your favorite Faker play isnt even a Faker play? Sweet
bruh that was all Wolf on Rakan
"Faker what was that" was epic. With the zed 1v1
Props on wulf for that play.
That was like 50% wulf 30% peanut and the remaining 20% was sprinkled among the other members.
For once ryu did not die 🤣
Now Ryu die cause u mention it😂
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ryu died because of kkoma recently
Well everyone tried not to mention that since everyone already knew

The zed play was the most notable. But the riven cass was in another level
Nowadays it doesn't look as impressive but at the time it was insane. No one was reacting to spell animations like that, instead of just predicting. He normalized the fact that it was possible and that it should become a common skill.
Naw but no one could've guessed the Azir shuffle so many years later. It was incredible and iconic in terms of esports history
It was also the moment where he reclaimed his crown. Like yes, it wasn't even the last game of the series, nor was it the finals, but this will always be the moment where we all say that Faker truly returned for his crown.

Its literally his second most famous play after the Zed outplay😂

The time when faker terrorize na with his mid riven with 92%? Winrate
Hahahaa
My favorite Faker play is just Faker spamming f-keys😅
🤣
In my opinion, that riven play was to make all of those Riven OTP jealous.
I'm sure Faker popularized Riven mid long before that , and most if not all Riven OTP were inspired by him
@@darkgrip90it's more than that. EVERY Riven main knows of Barcode Killer, the guy who revolutionized Riven's gameplay.
It was Faker.
Mechanically its The zed 1v1 against Ryu. However, the Azir flash ult against ruler Varus is probably the best when considering the impact it did and the history behind the players.
Legit made me shiver because it was varus then and it was varus now.
Imagine corejj said “when faker got caught out and I won worlds” 💀💀💀
My favorite faker play was, Nidalee mid in his debut match against najin sword
It was CJ Blaze, back when Ambition and Kha'Zix were mid laners.
My favorite faker play is when he plays ziggs and he's bombing the wolf nonstop and it keeps healing 😂
at all stars 2014, the midseason event before msi, right?
My favorite Faker play was one of his OG SoloQ highlight montages where he jukes a Shyvana on Akali by jumping to her right before she dragon forms over the wall.
One of my favorites is when he 1v5s Scarra’s team with Cassiopeia and Scarra just says, “He’s too f*cking good…”
"Look at the cleanse, look at the moves. Faker, what was that?!"

Faker is the GOAT. No one can deny. Look at T1’s record during his absence. My guy deserves the million dollar salary.

That riven play was so so sick. The best riven mechanics at that time and i uses to watch alot of Riven One tricks.
This is before 2024 finals...
now u have a whole lot to pick
"They won that game right?" 💀
Time to remake the list
The one said by CoreJJ was actually 2015 not 2014. Iirc it was Summer 2015 finals with Faker using Riven Mid to Nagne's Cassiopeia
Finally Ryu wasn't harmed.
My favoritest FAKER played "Faker, what was that😂"
my favorite play was in 2013, against najin on his ahri, he kited i think renekton or shen back while hitting minions then used his Q to heal up and ended up winning the game
Damn, I wish impact had picked a play for when they used to play together as SKT t1
Wolf got stunned again
