#Circus #Bongo verleende haar medewerking. Het complex vond een goed plekje in het Hilversumse #Dudokpark, waar Bongo het genoegen had voor een enthousiast publiek te spelen (alle Voorstellingen een volle bak!). Naast een compilatie van de fijne Bongo Voorstelling zie je beelden van de overige activiteiten welke zich in de directe nabijheid van het Circus afspeelden.

Koningsdag or King's Day is a national holiday in the #Kingdom of the #Netherlands. Celebrated on 27 April, the date marks the birth of King Willem-Alexander. Up until 2013, when Queen Beatrix abdicated and was succeeded by her son Willem-Alexander, the holiday was known as Koninginnedag or Queen's Day and was celebrated on 30 April. The holiday was initially observed on 31 August 1885 as Prinsessedag or Princess's Day, the fifth birthday of Princess Wilhelmina, heir to the Dutch throne. On her accession in November 1890 the holiday acquired the name Koninginnedag, first celebrated on 31 August 1891. In September 1948, Wilhelmina's daughter Juliana ascended to the throne and the holiday was moved to Queen Juliana's birthday, 30 April. The bank holiday was consumed on this date from 1949 on. Koningsdag is known for its nationwide vrijmarkt (a non-commercial market), at which the Dutch sell their obsolete goods. The festivities on Koningsdag are often organised by Orange Committees (Dutch: Oranjecomité), local associations that seek sponsorship and donations for their activities. Koningsdag now sees large-scale celebrations, with many concerts and special events in public spaces, particularly in Amsterdam. An outdoor concert is held on Amsterdam's Museumplein, where as many as 800,000 people may gather.
Overseas
Koningsdag is also celebrated in Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint Maarten, constituent countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
It is less widely celebrated on the Caribbean island of Bonaire, also a part of the Kingdom, where the local celebration of Dia di Rincon (held on 30 April) is more popular
Fly your Flag high with pride
The #Dutch tricolour is the national flag, flag of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (which includes the Netherlands Antilles, Aruba and until its independence in 1975 Suriname), merchant flag, naval ensign and war flag. Until 1931 also used as Naval Jack.
On 19 February 1937 Queen Wilhelmina decided by Order in council that: "The colours of the flag of the Kingdom of the Netherlands are red, white and blue." In 1958 the colours were defined more precisely as bright vermilion and cobalt blue.
Königstag ist wahrscheinlich das lustigste Fest von ganz Holland. Am 27. April feiern wir den Geburtstag König Willem Alexanders mit #Musik, #Straßenfesten, #Freimärkten und #Kirmes. Der #König selbst besucht mit seiner Familie das Land. Bereits am Vorabend, in der Koningsnacht, wird gefeiert: mit Konzerten in Den Haag und anderen Städten und dem größten Freimarkt des Landes in Utrecht. Zusammenschnit von Königstag 2017, #Hilversum.
