Honestly, I think the roster is perfect because they’re just covering season 1/ jjk 0 at launch, as most of the characters you mentioned as potential candidates either don’t do anything, don’t have enough to make a whole move set out of, or really start to shine in season 2 and the manga. For example, Mechamaru could be a good choice, however limiting him to just what he does in season 1 would really be missing on a lot of potential as he does a lot more in season 2.
One more thing: a starting roster of 16 characters is really not that bad at all, especially considering that this is the first jjk fighting game and each character is extremely unique from one another, and no two characters really play the same. Not to mention this game is centered around 2v2, so it will be even more diverse with the countless possibilities when it comes to team comps. I think it’s way too early to say this game WILL fail, however I do understand the concerns. In my opinion, the success of this game will be determined by the post launch support rather than the content at launch, which already seems pretty substantial.

The problem is that we gotta pay the money to even try the game without guaranteeing that it's solid. Games need to start releasing demos at least

@princechi1952 that's the point of the video, that it's a if I buy it game. Unlike Sparking Zero which is a must buy since the roster is gonna be huge. They could've done better with the roster that's all I'm saying. 100 bucks to play with 13 characters is kinda crazy. And then wait a year for the rest to come out gets kinda repetitive.

all anime games have dlc characters, while we have a small roster with this game for sure. this is MOSTLY season 1 +everyone has their own gimmick that makes them unique in playstyle, and judging from recent gameplays they really improved the quality with how the game moves and flows. think its best to give it a try plus, if you dont wanna buy it, then dont.
Dude literally play any other game no one is here forcing you to buy or play the game but there are people who find this idea bold different and kinda dope so why just shit on it for views and likes do better man hope to see better content in the future very disappointing
I'm not shitting on it. I'm actually very hyped for it. I just know the story of anime arena fighters and how they turn out. I'm pointing out the issues the game has before it comes out. And it's really only about the roster. There were so many other characters to put in the game and they didn't.
Also there gonna release a majority of the roster after the game releases and we have to pay extra money for them. That's wild

We have seen worse in fighting games lol. Look at hinokami chronicles. They had characters that never had full fights or worse were just ghosts before the story even began. It could be possible to add Yaga or Mei mei.

There are 16 characters, not 13. And why would you expect the inclusion of characters whose names you can’t even remember? Byking has added ALMOST everyone people really care about from season 1 and the movie. Sure it sucks that we’ll likely have to pay for DLC, but where was that energy when you were making Xenoverse 2 DLC speculation videos? That game a huge chunk of the roster behind a paywall too. It’s more of a criticism of modern gaming than Cursed Clash
Plus, from the recent gameplay, the characters we DO have play very differently. I would rather have that than every third character having “full power energy wave” since you want to compare it to the Sparking series (don’t get me wrong the hype is unreal for sparking zero)
There are plenty of valid criticisms of what we’ve seen from the game so far such as the lack of local play, too many cutscenes, or the general floatiness. The game is not going to fail due to a lack of characters and inclusion of paid DLC

Your totally right my guy, I made a video like this for storm connections. I'm gonna make a follow up that's more positive now that I got so many comments telling me why the game is gonna be fire 🔥 it's a youtube strategy thats worked for me before. But thank you my guy I literally just realized the roster number was 16 instead of 13 so the roster is pretty decent ig but there are a few characters I think they could've thrown in but I'm loving all the costumes they are adding 🔥
@@ssjbenj 16 is definitely on the low side but I really don’t think it’ll feel that small if everyone plays differently. Plus the last anime game I was seriously hype for was demon slayer and it only had 12 at launch, so I’m just happy it’s bigger than that lmao
You’re SO right about Miguel and Mechamaru though dude. If this game doesn’t flop, there’s some serious potential for a sequel. There are a lot of insane characters in the future arcs of JJK and like you said, some of the students that didn’t make the cut in this one. I think a lot of people forget that the Storm series started out with only 25 playable characters. Wild to think about when Storm 4 had over 100

It’s 2024 and this game has p3 graphics, at best, and is using a fighting system tht was designed decades ago. If you actually want these companies to try harder and make better games you have to critique them and don’t support mediocre projects.
