If you want to go faster without loosing out the back...open the concave, close the top sieve to your biggest kernels, open the bottom 100% and slow the fan down till you start to get stems. And then drive 3.7 to 4.2mph.
Ryan, I watch a lotta farming channels, but the camera work in this one is some of the best Ive seen of harvest. From showing the insides of the combine, to the bin filling and emptying on the combine, to emptying the grain cart - this was great. Better than some overhead drone shot where we dont see jack.
Cool video seeing the inside of the combine. Brave to put a camera on the snoot. Was just waiting for it to go through. Really good shots shots showing the combine at work.
The video from the inside of the combine is some of the best combine footage I've ever seen. Thank you very, very, much for that effort. It's very much appreciated. It figures that that type of effort & ingenuity came from a man from Wisconsin.
It appears you have auto steering control on your combine steering wheel, but no steering linkage on your cornhead. Do you use auto steer for soybeans only ?? Also, I recall you guys, your Dad, purchased a newer combine with a 12 row head. Do you still have the new combine and 12 row head ??
How much loss are you estimating. I saw some cobbs not getting fully stripped and some corn shooting out the back. Is it harder to correct with a walker combine than a rotor combine?
Exceptional video work and editing. Really-great stuff. Appreciate you sharing real information about profits and yields. Glad to see some good fields after your struggles with the down corn.
Great Vlog, agree with you assessment of the yield, any crop you can look into and see the ground is not yielding up to expectations, the auger kink is even more scary, thanks
Thanks for the quick break down on how the truck is doing and how it's helping the farm save money. I know it may not seem like it to the viewers but for you guys it must be one of the best purchases you guys have made recently. Any thoughts yet on replacing the grain trailer with a different one (for better field access)? Great video as always!! Loved the grain tank shots!
Your family makes a good farm unit with younger farmers coming on. Good to see younger farmers coming on. I would look into some of the ethanol byproducts. They make great cattle feeds at reasonable costs with good results. You’re close enough to producers to get better pricing.
Was wondering if you've considered using the processed corn from the ethanol plant for your cattle? I've heard that it works quite well? Great video! Loved the video from inside the combine!
Camera angles of watching how the sives work was cool. It seems like you could easily bump the speed up on the harvest or another mph or two. We used to run our 9600 with 6 row head at 6mph no problem.
The problem they run into is that usually they cant go an faster because the hills are so steep. Here, i'm guessing he was running this speed to keep pace with Travis, since they weren't using the grain cart, if Ryan moved to quickly and got full, he'd just end up waiting anyways, so there was no reason to hurry.
Great video Ryan I really like your camera work with getting shots inside the combine without it going threw the shreader lol 😆 😂 😅 🤣 I really enjoy watching you farm at night 🌉 🌙 😉 😄 😀 😅 🌉 🌙 😉 and I see the corn is doing better thsts good and so cool to see a timelasp of the corn getting full in the bin really nice and yes harvest is coming to a end for the year I really enjoyed this year's harvest lots thumbs up and shared
Great action shots from on the snouts and inside the combine. Question from a non-farmer: So, for an equally physically full bin, how is it that last year it held only 2004 bushels and this year is 2300-something? I thought bushel is a volume measurement and a bushel is a bushel is a bushel. Is there a "standard" bushel, adjusted for moisture content, where a bushel of higher moisture content grain is larger than one that is at a lower moisture content? Or is this apparent discrepancy from last year due to the yield monitor not necessarily being 100% accurate?
I don’t think the yield monitor is quite accurate, but the discrepancy would be because of the moisture content. Wetter corn has more volume than dry corn so it’s possible there’s well over 2,000 bushels in the bin though it’s not as full as last year
Thanks Border View Farms. You learn something new every day. Every time I heard bushel I was thinking volume. Now I'll think (having looked it up) 56 lbs at 15.5%moisture.
Hey jd 09 there affordable and the finance companies have low interest rates now and they would probably work with them as long as it's done before the harris administration takes over after that all lbets are off.
You’ve got field corn (99% of what’s out there), and sweet corn (stuff you get for from the the grocery store. Field corn is what is used for feed, ethanol, corn syrup, etc. Sweet corn is delicious on the grill with some butter.
Some really cool footage you got there man. I think it’s good how you guys operate and how you each have your own strong point as far as the equipment you run and the tasks you guys tackle. Check your Snapchat I sent you a picture a couple weeks ago I have a grill for your semi truck you can have it if you want it I’ll throw in a box this weekend and get it coming your way
Hey Ryan I know this is totally unrelated but do you remember that video when you went to that auction and were looking for a mower and utv if they went for the right price. I have a 2011 Kawasaki mule, gas. With a windshield a plow a roof and a bed liner. I know you have one at the main farm but I was thinking for your farm this mule is in presteen condition. Let me know if interested thanks. Asking 8,500 o.b.o
Welcome to truckin soon think ya gonna. Spend less ya payyyy more should really buy 2 more won't need Ben's I might know a guy willing to sell 3 tractors 3 pots y'all could haul all them calfes

great camera work, that was so cool getting to see the insides of combine operator
Hannah doe the impossible!! lol
Finally a video of the most interesting part of a combine: the inside! Thanks for the view!
First RUclipsr to put a camera in the combine finally !
I thought the same thing

Great camera work. Treat your landlord with respect. Best clip ever
Cool video seeing the inside of the combine. Brave to put a camera on the snoot. Was just waiting for it to go through. Really good shots shots showing the combine at work.
Yea but can you imagine the shots we *might* have gotten if the footage survived???
Enjoyed the camera shots of the inside working of the combine.
Put some blocking under the top of your auger to the bin roof to help support it when your filling your bins.
Always treat your land lord with respect
“Sup loser!”
That killed me 🤣
Cool shots inside the combine!
One of the things that keeps me watching is your wonderful videography. Keep up the excellent work.
Awesome shots of inside the combine of how it works
Excellent video work on this one!

Ryan - you need a “heads up display” on the windshield for the yield monitor output!
Cool idea!
I thought the same thing! Why don’t the new $1,000,000 combines have the heads up display like a $100,000 car?
@@timothybailey7118 100,000 car, a 2020 Silverado for 70,000 ish has a heads up display
Love the action shots from inside the combine👍😁
Nice shots inside the combine .I did notice it seemed to be looking a lot of corn.
Love the walker cam an the snoot cam angle.

@1:45 This moment when one opens up a new field: euphoria, joy, expectations.
2h later: Please let me finish here quickly. Great video
Good luck finishing harvest. Hope you have great yields and huge profits. God bless
Hope the auger holds up. Great video, thx.
Ya! What Mark said! Thanks and hope you and your family are doing well! Go Pack and on Wisconsin!
Cool to see the inside!
Great video, Ryan! I enjoyed the shots from inside the sieve area.
Love The combine the maximizer was the best combine Deere made by far keep makin great vids
Can you talk about what they deduct for foreign material at the terminal?
Really cool video of the combine inner works! Keep em coming.
Need a light Ryan? Nevermind, it was jerky! LOL.
Loved seeing the inside of the combine. Neat shots!
Those work lights on the back of your auger tractor are intense.
Awesome shots Ryan. 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸
Hey Ryan!! Great video!!
How much loss are you estimating. I saw some cobbs not getting fully stripped and some corn shooting out the back. Is it harder to correct with a walker combine than a rotor combine?
Awesome slow mow. I like the header cone cam 👍
Exceptional video work and editing. Really-great stuff. Appreciate you sharing real information about profits and yields. Glad to see some good fields after your struggles with the down corn.
Love the videos!
A+ on this video Ryan ,great action views , keep up the good work !!!!

You obviously didn't see the angle where the corn was coming out the back. He was going too fast already.
The problem they run into is that usually they cant go an faster because the hills are so steep. @@hturbo1007 I did see the corn spill out the back. Speed of the combine would not impact that IMO. But I’m sure we will disagree. 😀
@@armchairgeneral7557 you're are probably correct. But speed does sometimes have an effect.
Open the sieves a little and turn up the wind.
Love the interior vids. I've always wanted to see that shot!

Great video how does the combine remove the kernels from the Cobb but not the husks
How many head is your combine? Do you harvest sweet corn at all?

A bushel is actually a measure of weight not volume so moisture content and density both play into how many bushels fit in a given volume.
Thanks Border View Farms. You learn something new every day. Every time I heard bushel I was thinking volume. Now I'll think (having looked it up) 56 lbs at 15.5%moisture.
A bushel is a measure of volume equal to 64 pints or 8 imperial gallons. 56lbs of corn at 15.5% moisture takes up a bushel of space.
@@Jaxon-iu6vb Only if it's #1 quality. #2 yellow corn, which is what we sell, would weigh 54 lbs.
Thanks for the video. Do you still have Rosie?
Fascinating video! Do you have a favorite crop Ryan?
Great shots inside the combine, best I've seen anyway.
You should be able to calibrate the yield monitor as you go if it isn't reading correctly.
New haircut looks legit, needs suspenders tho.
Where is the light on the end of the cart auger for loading the truck?
Do you still run 360 brushes on the corn head?
😊Great video. The inside the combine video was impressive. How did the camera survive😊
Noticed you don't have the 360 yield saver brush chains on anymore?? To much trash intake? Hinder picking up downed corn?
Downed corn so we had to. Still would like to put them back on
Fantastic 😊😊😊
Are you going to do another 360 video?.
Blow a brake chamber?
I don't think that deer felt the least bit guilty about eating your corn. lol
Thanks for the great video Ryan that was awesome footage inside the combine. How did you get the camera to survive inside the combine?👍
I would like to hear more from the Land owners and get their opinion of the farm operation
Why?
Good job Ryan:):)
Makes me miss my 9500 but man those Rotors can move alot of grain.
It feels that half of the corner is still on the ground. We used to pick corn by hand
What music is used in the cinematic shots? Thanks in advance!
Headlund-to wonderland. Might be the one you looking for.
@@haschplanta oh yeah, thanks a lot !!!
No problem 👍
If you need an auger ask Cole The Cornstar he can probably loan you one, or 5 or 6. LOL
period;;;
Just wondering why u were waiting for travis when u guys have 2 grain carts
No one to run them or bring them to us
Finally. Someone with balls to put camera inside a combine to actually see how this works.
Looks like you blew a brake chamber???
Our John Deere 9400 caught fire today but it was extinguished before anything major happened
You really need to update your combine a 2019 limited edition 7150 caseih would really look good.
Hey jd 09 there affordable and the finance companies have low interest rates now and they would probably work with them as long as it's done before the harris administration takes over after that all lbets are off.
Didn't think they let you drive the combine.....lol
Sooo....corn seed all the same? Cornfields FED to your livestock same as road trip corn?

I’m surprised that cart doesn’t have a light on the auger
Rocket's hat fetish rearing its ugly head ....lol awesome video Ryan thank you
Are you worried about the grain bin collapsing???
How IS the 'iffy bin' doing this year??

THAT WAS COOL PUTTING CAMERA INSIDE COMBINE WATCHING Corn Go Through !
THANKs = Russ > Ann Arbor ,Michigan GO BLUE !
Yes the deer love corn.you need to hunt them and thin the deer population out some to cut down on how much they eat.
You should rattle can your corn head John Deere green before you put it in storage lol
On to Dopey than Sneezy land. Don't forget Happy land.
How do you pay the landlord for farming his property?
Most do cash rent per acre
I hope it was just a line, and not a valve or bag.

Do you still use the wheelman? I see you have it hooked up to use with the combine but aren’t using it.
Jacob Schlais that is actually the AgLeader steering in the combine, they move it from the 4640 after planting
Had to do a double take. That was a beef stick.
😀👍
One could calculate loss with the camera when its on the spreader view ;)
