I literally met him today!!! He tried to rush into an elevator I was in, but the doors were closing. My friend and I stopped the doors for him and I didn’t even see his face until he walked in and turned around! I was shocked it was him!! He is soooooo nice we had such a lovely conversation, he’s got great energy. 😊
It’s mind blowing how versatile he is! Like he can play almost any role better than nearly anyone! He is so humble and lovable and I just think he’s one of the best actors of this era
As an autistic person, I will never get over his love for Newt Scamander. His respect for the character with all his peculiarities and idiosyncrasies. He was brilliant in those movies, and his portrayal of Newt as an autistic man makes me feel seen and loved and respected for who I am. Ever since the 1st one came out I finally understood why (good) representation is so important. But now that the story probably won't be finished because of all these troubles involving the author and some of the cast members, it pains me very much to watch him talk about it all with such passion. Deep in my heart I still have hopes, but it is starting to fade...
I feel the exact same way as you, as an autistic girl Eddie’s performance as Newt really speaks to me. He’s such a brilliant, well-rounded character and I really hope his story is concluded!
I bookmarked this video to come back and make the list of movies that I now know I need to see...I love the way this person presents himself and the thought that goes into his process. Every clip I saw seemed like genius
hearing him talk in past tense about fantastic beasts is so heartbreaking, i can't believe they're not gonna make more of those films, it kills me, i need more
i believe theres supposed to be 5 movies total? unless things have changed after the 3rd was released, im not sure. itd be sad if they left it off incomplete.
the thing i’ve ALWAYS thought about him ever since i first saw him is how fitting he is in every character of every movie he’s in. and the genres he acts in just make so much sense.
One of my favorite pieces he was in was actually Tess of the D'Urbervilles. He was phenomenal in that, I watched it long before he was in Les Miserable and Fantastic Beasts, but I've just been in love with him since. I love the dedication and passion he puts into his acting. It always shows, every time I watch Les Miserable his song moves me to tears. I watched The Good Nurse the day after it came out, and it was of course amazing. I had never heard anything about it and ended up downloading the Audible book that the movie is based on. Hats off to Eddie!
I just love Eddie Redmayne and I could listen to him talk about his roles for hours. Such an amazing and just very honest actor. In every role I saw him in he always managed to touch me deeply. I can't believe he didn't study acting.
I have been a fan of Eddie Redmayne for over 10 years, and the first time I watched him in anything was when he starred in an independent movie called Like Minds alongside Tom Sturridge. Albeit it was a weird movie but I fell in love with him and his acting the moment I watched it. Everybody at the time who had watched Like Minds was so obsessed with Tom (and I can't say I blame them), that Eddie was kind of overshadowed by him. But I knew then. I knew he was going to be a success and when My Week with Marilyn was released it became more and more apparent. I was so pleased for him and elated when he won his Oscar because I honestly couldn't think of anyone more deserving at the time. I hope his career continues to flourish and if you wish to watch more of his performances other than the ones mentioned I would highly recommend The Trial of Chicago 7 because the movie itself as well as Eddie is brilliant.
i watched the theory of everything a couple of times when i was younger and never ended it without sobbing. his performance in that will always be so memorable to me, such a fantastic actor.
This guy is so talented!! Just wish his movies were not too muddled with screenwriting issues and studio meddling!! This guy deserves better movie project and if he does do a superhero movie whether it is Marvel or DC, he will be loved!!
Gosh! I never knew how much I needed this! Quite a few years ago, I had a complete Eddie Redmayne phase where I used to devour his movies and interviews.
He's the first actor that make me realize and starting to "fangirling" over actors which I never really into but after watched The Theory of Everything after that I starting to watch his interview, clip, etc and it's so cool, he's amazing, I'm really happy when The Good Nurse came out and it's on Netflix, waiting for more Eddie on film
I remember seeing him first in The Yellow Handkerchief and really liking him. Not sure how many propel saw that movie lol. And then again in The Theory of Everything and being so happy he got such a big role and people could finally see his talent!
