So people have done a lot of explaining here - as you've heard even though the challenge was started by a rapper it quickly spread to all sorts of different people. I believe the first person to respond to Solar's challenge was Taco Hemingway and he already nominated Klocuch so very quickly the premise was set to also invite non-rappers. Some of these people were singers, others had no music career. Some tried rapping their verses, others sung or just recited them. The point wasn't really even to make something good but to spread the word because just like people told you already - the entire thing was a charity event made to raise fund for medical equipment for the fight against COVID-19. Despite that and despite the soft time limit of 72 hours, some of these hot16s are actually really good songs and even some people who aren't musicians managed to make quite impressive pieces.

If you would like to check out some trap music I really hope to see at least one young igi song (biggest is young igi- bestia). He basically introduced autotune into Poland and was probably one of the first rappers to do trap in Poland. Apart from that you should check some Oki stuff. I would say that he is currently the best rapper in Poland in terms of technique. I would suggest his song „Woda Sodowa” but he also has songs like Oki-Kubi47, Oki feat Sobel- Musze to wykrzyczeć. These last two have pretty unusual style

Your reaction suggests unfamiliarity with the Hot16Challenge2 and Brzydka16Challenge. And it's fine, it wasn't "hot" around the world topic. Both were Polish fundraising initiatives for healthcare during the pandemic. The Hot16Challenge2 (there was even v1, much before, for medics too but other reason), initiated by Solar, involved recording a 16-bar verse and nominating others to do the same within 72 hours (and paying for the medical-oriented funds, theoretically it was “if you don't complete the challenge on time, you pay” but everyone knew/was mutual agreement to do it within 72 hours AND they also paid something for the funds), primarily within the rap community. The Brzydka16Challenge, started by Krzysztof Gonciarz, followed the same format but targeted influencers, known people, stars and RUclipsrs. Fun fact, our president in 19:07 had "eloquent" verses, and one of those was "ostry cień mgły" (sharp shadow of mist), and it was about the virus. And now it stayed with us a bit this, but in "derogatory form" that president maybe is fighting with own delusions (it's his sharp shadow of mist).

Hot16challange2 among influencers (not rappers or other musicians) was very ‘cringe’ in retrospect. A lot of the people in the video were influencers or non-music related. They collected a lot of views as they were family friendly youtubers and children were watching them.

If you would like to check out some trap music I really hope to see at least one young igi song (biggest is young igi- bestia). He basically introduced autotune into Poland and was probably one of the first rappers to do trap in Poland. Apart from that you should check some Oki stuff. I would say that he is currently the best rapper in Poland in terms of technique. I would suggest his song „Woda Sodowa” but he also has songs like Oki-Kubi47, Oki feat Sobel- Musze to wykrzyczeć. These last two have pretty unusual style

Your reaction suggests unfamiliarity with the Hot16Challenge2 and Brzydka16Challenge. And it's fine, it wasn't "hot" around the world topic. Both were Polish fundraising initiatives for healthcare during the pandemic. The Hot16Challenge2 (there was even v1, much before, for medics too but other reason), initiated by Solar, involved recording a 16-bar verse and nominating others to do the same within 72 hours (and paying for the medical-oriented funds, theoretically it was “if you don't complete the challenge on time, you pay” but everyone knew/was mutual agreement to do it within 72 hours AND they also paid something for the funds), primarily within the rap community. The Brzydka16Challenge, started by Krzysztof Gonciarz, followed the same format but targeted influencers, known people, stars and RUclipsrs.
Fun fact, our president in 19:07 had "eloquent" verses, and one of those was "ostry cień mgły" (sharp shadow of mist), and it was about the virus. And now it stayed with us a bit this, but in "derogatory form" that president maybe is fighting with own delusions (it's his sharp shadow of mist).

Hot16challange2 among influencers (not rappers or other musicians) was very ‘cringe’ in retrospect. A lot of the people in the video were influencers or non-music related. They collected a lot of views as they were family friendly youtubers and children were watching them.
