- I woke up this morning and got myself an EZ Pass for the Tolls and headed to New Jersey to visit Six Flags Great Adventure. Is it really the best Six Flags in all of North America? What rides did I ride & rate? And finally DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO STEAL A COPY OF COYOTE VS. ACME FROM WARNERS BROS??? Curse you David Zaslav!!!!!

As someone from New Jersey this is our only claim to fame except for American Dream Mall. It kinda sucks here
I mean Baltimore had The Wire. Jersey had The Sopranos. Two of the greatest shows ever made.

Aw man! Houdini's great escape is an awesome ride! It's so trippy, and the pre show is great
I concur. The same ride is also at Six Flags New England. It does have a very detailed pre-show and the ride experience is full of illusion and mental trickery.
It's supposed to be open for fright fest.
Dang it, I gotta put Jersey on the list?!?! Lol, you were meant to ride El Toro first, your sense of direction is great, like your editing. Paying for a locker to ride the ride is just like paying to ride the ride, we've gone full circle. Kenny was so happy after that second Nitro. Great Smile 😁

My home park! The abandoned stunt show you pointed out - it's used for Dead Man's Party during Fright Fest so not completely abandoned either! I have no idea how they're going to run fright fest this year since everything is changing but it's my favorite time of year and the time I end up visiting the park the most (I have a season pass but haven't even made it out to the park this year yet)
Kingda Ka and Jersey Devil are the only rides that have required lockers. All of the other coasters kind of turn a blind eye to you bringing a bag or loose items into the station. Also, you can pay 10 bucks and you can get access to the lockers all day long for one price. You set up a code that will be used and you can transfer it over.
In addition to the stunt show building and the Houdini ride, the Skyway and the Parachute Drop are "abandoned". Another RUclipsr posted a vlog near the start of the 2024 season that showed the Big Wheel's gondolas missing, so not sure it's operating either. I may have blinked, but didn't spot it in this vlog. Thanks for taking us along! I just can't deal with the heat this time of year. Totally ruins what I want to be a fun day.

I went to great adventure last month I had a great time my favorite ride was el toro I’m jealous you got to meet Willie e coyote I wanted to meet him so bad. All thy had was porky and bugs. What day did you go cause I never saw

A lot of their coasters had paid lockers bc NJ loose article policy is very strict. This year they started installing free double sided lockers for those rides. This year they added them to Toto and Zflash. Next year they will install more on the other rides that have paid lockers. 😊😊
Good. I think El Toro and Wildcats Revenge at Hershey have the best system.

Nitro!!! That was my favorite coaster for years! Until roller coaster suddenly stopped giving me any kind a adrenaline rush lol 😅
The lockers are moveable if you spend the $10 or whatever it is all throughout the park!

you might think the DC section in 6F: Fiesta Texas in neat. They took over the Wiggles section and have a tween roller coaster. the Cowboy Steampunk section has an insane Cliffhanger ride.
El Toro is absolutely a full five on the gabbagool scale. It was my all time favorite (before i gained too much weight and couldn't fit in the restraints) but it's soooooo smooth.
Kingda Ka is fun, it goes so fast that you can't tell HOW fast or high up you are, but it only lasts like a minute so it isn't always worth the wait.
Nitro... SUCH a great one. Arguably one of my favorite hypercoasters of all time. ABSOLUTELY 6 gabbagools.
I haven't done Jersey Devil yet (see above) but it looks aggressively Fine.
Batman: The Ride is so rough these days, it really boxes your ears. And Dark Knight Coaster is just a glorified wild mouse, but it's ~inside~ and they have a truck noise that scares me.
Cyborg is NEVER running, lol. Love the Justice League ride though! Makes me wish we had more dark rides 😕

Hoping because of Wil e coyote walk around they'll give Road runner one! My father in law collects roadrunner stuff so if they bring a walk around character that would make his day!
The free El Toro lockers are new for this season. Hopefully they put them on the other rides too. Otherwise their locker policy effectively makes half the roller coasters an up-charge.
I know I’m getting old when watching these coasters don’t make excited anymore, just nauseous. The park looked really clean though
Eh, classic wooden coasters were perfected in the 1920s witn the Dragon Coaster at Rye Playland. It's one of the historic lsndmarks there and was in a Mafuah Carey video. Great Adventure might have been an annual trip griwing up, but Playland was my local park.

Don't think I've been there since Early 00's. When Kingda Ka 1st opened 🤔 think that might've been the last time I was on a Coaster...wow
Btw the lockers are $2 for 2 hours of locker time. You can get one locker and ride as much for two hours. 😁
Hey - former ride op on Houdini's Great Escape here! Inside is the equivalent of a pirate ship ride with magic theming that makes you feel like you're going upside down when at most you're tilting 45 degrees.
...it would also nearly break down every 3-4 cycles. Completely unreliable - ergo, it's not open and possibly will never open again. It's a cute little ride but it just breaks every day.
Crazy! I love Houdini and I was hoping it was like an educational ride about his life.
@@pleasestopvlogging It’s not even like related beyond surface level. The idea is that Houdini’s… wife? attempts to “summon him from beyond the grave” in a seance, but it’s all fake - Houdini instead possesses the ride itself and performs his “greatest illusion yet”. Only ride in the park that has a horror element year round. I love it to death but I remember most days going up 10 minutes, down 10, up 10, down 10, up 10, and then sent to the carousel.
Oh man, this is such a bummer. I loved it but I haven't seen it open since briefly during Fright Fest last year. Appreciate the intel!

I took annual trips to SF Great Adventures from 2016-19. It has its hits and it has its misses. Big park, but a lot of empty space that could be put to good use.
There was good character variety, though I never saw any DC heroes, just Looney Tunes characters. There's a Looney Tunes themed show that plays down in the amphitheater in the Bugs Bunny National Park section that I would always go to if it was playing. Finally, I would ALWAYS ended my visit by getting funnel cake from the shoppe in the main hub near the fountain.
Back then I really wanted to work there and would love to have been a Looney Tunes character performer. I auditioned to be one in 2016...and what I don't understand is why they gotta put dance ability over all else. Shouldn't improv/physical acting be the first priority? Dance skill should be a plus, but it should NOT be a must.
Last time I went on the Dark Knight coaster they had removed most of the theming. Also the Green Lantern coaster sucks. So painful

I love Great adventure grew up in that part being from Jersey. But if you want one of the best wooden coasters in the States you have to go to Knoebels Grove in elysburg Pennsylvania and ride the Phoenix.
I’ve rode the phoenix. It’s also great. El toro has a great first drop.
You missed out on a good ride in the beginning with Kingda Ka man
