My father has been successfully retired for about 30 years. A major contributing factor can be put in two words. Men's shed. That, along with his church, has been a great help. Especially now that my mum has passed away. My retirement dream (at least partly) is to become a member of a Men's Shed, like my father before me. Yes I am wearing a Star Wars T shirt.

I LOVE Mens Shed! I have a number of clients that are members and get so much from it.

I have many things I have that I want to do but two divorces where my husband had all the money. I had three children and bought them up basically by myself there was never anything left to save. I did jobs that fitted in round my family and those were jobs that didn't come with pensions. I'm now on my own and have £16.000 and that's it so it will be the basis pension for me. I have have a aortic disection and nearly died at 60 but I'm still working 12 hour shift and I'm 64 now O I have another aneurism going as well which will have to be sorted at some stage. I really would love to retire but I think I'm going to just drop down dead at workb
