Contrary to the Japanese , who knew pretty much everything and cleverly used the same voice actor, those who chose the cast for the English version had no idea of the BK’s new identity so they gave him the Nazgul treatment “because he is a black knight”. They should have dug more into the Tellius games’s lore.
They should have used Wiseman's voice actor (From Baten Kaitos Origins) It's so creepy and would fit so well. especially when he is in his Black Knight armor.
From what I heard, the VA's didn't really get good (if any at all) direction for their lines. That's why it's honestly so bad. I mean, there's literally a flash back scene in Radiant Dawn with child Ike, and he sounds like a full grown adult because of poor direction. VA didn't even know about the time frame for his character apparently.
I’m fine with the Path of Radiance voices. Greil and BK, at least. The BK’s voice is eerie, almost like his very words are a song. Though the Radiant Dawn voices don’t sit right with me.

The parts with Greil and the Black Knight are from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. The parts with Zelgius and the army are from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.
Before watching this video, I never really understood what he said. Also, what a lousy character, he fought for all factions, and also against everyone - does he have no will of his own? Does he not want any of them specifically to win? It's like the writers said "hey, we need a power-balance here... Let Zelgius fill it, he'll kill troops off this army too, though he just helped them. He doesn't need a proper affiliation.".
I love the fact that Greil gets cocky even being Axe vs Sword.

In the final fight with him in RR I used Greils axe to beat him, did for fun even though it ruins the effect of the fight

Best VA for me goes to Robert Clotworthy for sure, despite being the spin off version...

Yeah, I don’t like both voices. I think the bk’s in por is way too high pitched and his voice actor in radiant dawn is not very good.

In Radiant Dawn, it's fairly obvious who Zelgius is really fighting for.
