I loved to play this as a kid with my father. This game was so difficult at times and really had moments that the player had to think of a strategy. I'll always love this campaign and it would be really awesome if one day this game had a remake.
Dude I remember exactly what you're talking about my sister and I used to play this game in high school on weekends. You're absolutely right about the strategy I can remember being low or out of ammo picking up Vietnamese weapons and then grouping up on the trail for a minute and deciding who to assign new ammo to even if it was only three bullets or in some cases when things really got bad who should carry the knife who should have the last five rounds of ammo and that type of thing and trying to plan your attack with limited resources because you're scavenging for ammo and weapons sometimes. The strategy involved and having to come up with it completely on your own was a fantastic part of the game. This game is an absolute classic
@@robertb8629 Yeah i think you mean their machine pistol which was spammed everywhere. I used to drop my M16 somewhere right at the start because i ran out of ammo.

The conflict games on PS2 were a blast with a friend. Some of the most fun co-op I had on that system.

I love the Old games because they Had Soul and Atmospheric Design on its UI. It draws you and makes feel you are in that Age / Era
This game was way ahead of its time. I never understood how to play or what i was supposed to do but i was addicted to surviving lol

This game singlehandedly introduced me to The Rolling Stones and the Vietnam War (well, I knew of it from school, I just never really paid any mind to it I guess). Definley one of my all time favorite games!

No matter how old the M60 is, the sound of it's firing just always fresh and satisfying.
I'll never forget playing this with my dad when I was like 6. It was the first time I played a video game and became immersed in it, I was so attached to the guys. I couldn't remember the name of the game so I googled "shooter PS2 game with medic cherry" and found it! What a game man. Video games are awesome.

also whoever made bf2 modern combat on the ps2 had a feature no other game had. It was being able to directly control every soldier on the battlefield. Not even the battlefield after it made any sort of feature.

I used to play this game with a friend. What a great game. We would always get killed on the board where you had to stay quit and use blow darts to kill the Viet Con. Then we'd fight when the enemy started shooting at us, blaming each other. Good Times.

The characters while basic all had their own unique trope and personality that made using each of them useful and rewarding.I miss when war games went through the Vietnam phase in the early 00's 😢.
This and Conflict: Desert Storm were games me and my dad shared heavily when I was a kid on PS2. He used to play them all the time but would forbid me cause they were violent. eventually he let me play them and i would need his help all the time. now i go back occasionally and play these for the memories

This game is one of a handful of games I would play with my older brother and that handful of games gets even smaller when the game is so intense it makes your palms sweaty! something games these days lack to do to me.

The nostalgia is real... remember playing this as a kid..wish the playthrough was a little slower so I could take it all in but damn I miss those days...not a worry in the world.
I remember my dad screaming at this game and throwing the controller and then handing it to me to beat the level he couldn’t. God those were good times.

The best out all the conflict series this really brings back all the memories when I playing this game on my PS2 back in the days I still remember this game is difficult as hell specially the mission when you got captured the Russian roulette mission ah the memories

I was 10 years old when I played it. I was about to finish primary school and I remember that i used Cherry as the leader by her M16 and Ragman as the medic. Bro, this would be revolutionary if it were remastered, because there are no games like this, where you lead a squad by changing soldiers with their specialty and order system. They should make a prequel where you play a member of the black ops jackal squad that blitzes into the villages, ties up the men and makes them watch your teammates impale and burn the women and children, really gives you a feel for why rice farmers in plain clothes and sandals are charging at you with French colonial era bayonets with zero bullets with nothing to lose in Conflict: Vietnam (2004).

Conflict was always going for a realistic experience, I don't think it has a zombie mode

I love this game and i still remember the cheats codes the game has its L1 R1 L1 R1 square traingle circle traingle square circle to know how the cheats r activated u just gotta listen to the drum rolls which lets u know that the cheats r activated it gives u infinite saves infinite ammo and unlocks all the missions
All i need right now is remastered version of Conflict Series: Vietnam, Desert Storm and Global Storm
