Fun intro! Really enjoying watching your video editing and creation skills evolve. I have been spending A LOT of time in the old archives of a the Dungeon Dive. It’s a safe and happy place for me to be.
The Cthulhu encyclopedia is a great book. I purchased it when I first bought Arkham Horror 2nd edition. It had a ton of information about the mythos and added so much depth and flavor to the game!
I was lucky enough to get the revised edition of this box. Agreed it’s one of the weaker expansions but I always am glad to have more cards and variety. King in Yellow and Lurkers at the Threshold are the small box expansions to get. Love these Arkham 2nd Edition videos. Keep ‘em coming!
i just got a copy of 2e with the king in yellow expansion the other day, so this video was really helpful. im gonna watch the rest of yours now. it really sucks that these expansions are so expensive, i gotta be so selective about what im gonna try to hunt down lol
I guess I'm in the minority because I have really enjoyed this expansion. I like that it adds an Egyptian motif without adding a lot of complexity or a bunch of new things to keep track of. I can just mix in these cards and add some fresh flavor to the game and that's a win in my book.
This is interesting because I have the opposite opinion of Dark Pharaoh. I really like the evolving storyline of it and the ticking clock it presents. It's a pretty slim expansion and doesn't make the game too unweildy
This is the "luck " of having translated game we had the revised version. I mean it exist this original black Pharaoh's version but very shortly the revised version was done by edge for the French version
Great video as always, looking forward to the rest of the series. I had eyed the 2nd edition of this expansion but I passed on it due to the cost. Glad to learn I made the right decision! Do you recall where you purchased those amazing looking dice?
These are similar but I can’t vouch for them. www.etsy.com/listing/841466851/flexible-plastic-stands-for-board-game?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=board+game+standee+holder&ref=sr_gallery-1-1&bes=1&sts=1&content_source=5729b400361d43ca66bb2f460e3e5cc6eb1e84b3%253A841466851&search_preloaded_img=1&organic_search_click=1
We never tried the Visiting Exhibition way of playing but every time we shuffled the Dark Pharaoh in with the base game I just felt like it was boring, out of place, and diluted. If I got a vote I always said "leave Dark Pharaoh out." Probably better on its own!!
The best thing to say for this expansion is that you can still find it for about retail price.
Loving the Arkham series, keep it up!

Thanks so much! Glad you think things are improving. :). Sometimes I wonder. ;)
Loving these videos! Thanks!
Glad you like them!
Great video. Appendix M is well worth the wait.
Thank you. Those are BY FAR my favorite segments I've ever done on the channel.

Yeah! I love using it as a lore resource for the game.
Daaang, i need to pick up the revised version yet. Only expansion I'm missing
Great coverage of this super thematic piece.

Totally agree! Especially King in Yellow - great expansion.
Clearly the other "small expansion" have more flavour imho

Dark Pharoah was the first expansion to Arkham. When it came out it was awesome that there was new content for the game.
Yep! I’ll be covering everything in release order.

Oh yeah. Those are my favorite kinds of expansions as well, I just don’t love this particular one, but I’m still very happy to own it and play it.
How did you know I use a crown royal 👑 bag!? Lol, one of us one of us
Isn't it a law?

Hey we all have our likes and dislikes!! I just happen to share mine in videos. :)
@@TheDungeonDive I just realized I had it mixed up with the King in Yellow expansion lol
No worries! That’s a good one. :)

Poor old Duke!
Haha. Yep.

The dice were donated to the channel. Theyre called Cucu dice. They were on KS.
Daniel, can you link us to where you get your non-damaging standee bases?
These are similar but I can’t vouch for them.
