Wow, that 2 handed "strong hammer" is absolute garbage but amazingly you still pulled off a victory with it. Maybe the dev accidentally gave it 14 dmg instead of 41 dmg? Even the small hammer does 22 dmg; doesn't make any sense the strong hammer would be that terrible unless it was made out of rubber instead of metal.
If there's one thing that this game needs to fix, it's the mechanic where when you get a good hit off an opponent, their body hopelessly flails around which causes their weapon to hit you for 30 damage. It's such a frustrating part of the game, in how it punishes good play.
Is there a reason you aren't picking up opponent's dropped shields when using a 1H? Seems like a good idea cause you can angle your body to deflect hits and you take away their options to block
I don't know for sure, but it looks like the base speed(movement) is more fluid/ faster. However, the contact animations seem off to me. Very lurchy. I don't think it's you, dude. That update wonkifide something.
I was pretty surprised because before the latest hotfix I wasn't having too much trouble but perhaps it's just me being weird in this episode xD I did feel a bit off I must admit.
@@ReformistTM I was having a blast in the spectacle update but this one, for some reason, I can't land any hits and the hits I do land are usually weak and seem to hit poorly. I can't explain it but something is off.
@@athropos Yep, and also getting hit through blocks--shield or weapon. Idk, I like the overall idea of the update, but the combat is just horrible compared to what it was.
There's also how enemies have a really annoying habit of just pushing into your hitbox, walking up against you like they're trying to merge bodies or something lol, I don't know if that was as common before or not but it's another problem along this vein. And not just annoying, it also becomes really hard to block when they attack while this is happening.
Combat with the new character is going to be go go go

I think so too, I wonder if changing the physics setting in the options would make a difference? (I can't remember if there was one).

Yes, as I may or may not have said already: Using a shield usually makes me take more damage than without.
