Have you ever tried disconnecting the battery putting on a trickle charger for 24 hours,reinstalling the battery and riding the bike? I used to get a Lo Range pop up. I did these things and the LO Range goes away. It may be completely different but maybe not.

Disconnecting the battery on the softail models is more of a pain in the ass than just clearing the code.
