- My name is Jakob and I'm a piano student in Reykjavík, Iceland. I've been playing piano for around 3 years and 3 months now, I started off learning by myself for around 8 or 9 months, then I went to learn with a Japanese piano teacher for a bit while i was staying the but when i came back to Iceland I started studying here as well. Its been a great journey so far and cant wait for what's to come.
The two poems by Scriabin are wonderfully beautiful works in my opinion, I pretty recently got into listening to Scriabin but works like two poems, 4th and 5th sonata, fantasy op 28 and more pieces just absolutely own my heart. I hope you like my performance because I will definitely play more Scriabin and other 20th century music one day :)
I uploaded the other poem as well on my channel, please check it out!

I'm quitting piano. I wanna play violon while you play. Just like in 四月は君の嘘 😌

This is beautiful. It's been awhile since I've seen you play and this was truly a great performance. It's amazing how far you have come in alittle over 3 years. Don't stop and keep pushing forward. 😊

Wow
Jakob, what’s the image in your mind while you play this piece?
Scriabin is AMAZING! you should play his sonatas later
i will :)
This strongly suggests to me, in spots, his Sonata #5, which is my favorite (or one of them) by Scriabin.
no 4 is my fav :) but i also love 5
@@JakobArnar I will check out No 4 again to see why you love it 😊. Thank you!
I have now checked out Sonata #4 and I see what you mean!! I find that I have overlooked this one! I love it!
I have 2 remarks to make regarding this, and about the composer: First, anyone familiar with piano music, but hearing #4 for the first time unidentified, would absolutely KNOW it was by Scriabin! Second, I wonder if (and I suspect it’s true that) his compositions (especialy this one) are written to appeal to his synesthesia, or if they arise to best suit it!
@@whatzause i also recomend listening to no 1, 2 and 3, they are a bit heavier but also great. but my fav spnata is def liszts sonata in b minor
Beautiful... For when mazeppa Transcendental Etude No. 4?
