As an Hermione eco player, that is very true! At this point most players are using creatures more and more and it's not easy to beat at all. I hope that some new spells arrive and that they are as effective as the new creatures that have been introduced. There is currently no balance between summoners and spellcasters at all
As someone who mains Luna/Bella and likes to use Dumbledore sometimes, I totally agree. The game is totally lopsided towards creatures, with the last few red key banners focusing on creatures that have become the meta. There needs to be more powerful legendary spells that give spell based decks more viability in duels. I remember when obscuras first came out and it dominated the meta, not to say it doesn’t still. But there are summons like CF, Hippogriff, and now Kelpie that are extremely hard to counter. Unfortunately I’m afraid we’ll have to wait even longer for that since the hints from the seasonal achievements hint that the next legendary card is another summon, which while I do appreciate the nautical theme of the card, they could have made the new card a spell. I hope the next season introduces us to a new spell card that can combat summons, as the major spells I use to clear summons are confringo and glacius.
@@SiriusGalilei That's right, we need some other spell like Obscurus, which deals multiple or area damage at the same time. In my deck there are always confringo or Whiz-bangs or even thunderstorm to eliminate creatures, but the problem is when they start spamming creatures and with just spells it is very unlikely to be able to eliminate them all AND do damage to the player. I don't think there is currently a deck for spamming spells that is effective, unfortunately many cards that deal high damage are all high cost and the deck runs too slowly to spam them properly. Personally, I'm very intrigued by the transfiguration spell or azkaban card, but I don't think we'll see them soon unfortunately. I don't remember where I read it but maybe the next legendary will be a spell, even if from the first looks it seems to be the giant octopus, who knows maybe it will be a spell based on it. It would seem strange to me to have two legendary summons in a row, but we'll see.
I used luna up until the last game for magic awakened where it got banned and I used twins 😂 I can agree 100% with this list but I still ban harry cos it counters my luna😂
First of all, as a Bella user, Abigail was useless for long shot, it was usefull for short shot and launch a chain. But I'm avoiding use Abigail companion because it still level 10, the replacement was Frey Twins. As the twins level 18+2 I could summon just for annoying the other player. The trick was just summon anything you had, and try to avoid the confringo
In other words, play it just the same way as I played the entire last season with Weasley Twins and throw obscenities at Luna players because you essentially play against time, not the player because there'll inevitably be a moment where the shear damage from thestral kills you and there's nothing you can do about it.
I stop playing hermione in duo this season due to a lot of summon spams. I can't stand my random teammate's frustrated emoji when i played hermi in duo 🙂.
sadly theres still a ton of useless Hermione that havent got the message yet and are completely overwhelmed on the board and refuse to use their whizbang on summons
The spidernest is common things to make your opponent "busy" and has a lot of useful reasons 1. Opponents need to spend mana to destroy the nest, or even better, the spider that keeps coming out 2. The spider is something that forces you to kill and use movement to avoid it poison pool 3. It's can counter most of the grounded summon like Locomotor or Norwegian ridgeback 4. It's only 5 mana and keeps being there as long as it can be a meat shield for your 5. It's can block a spell or be a lighting rod You can use "Firecrab" instead of spider nest, but it's can't move or counter Locomotor, which is totally annoying in the high ranked match
