Great example of armed bureaucratic stupidity.
Useless cops as always.
A bunch of stupid fools given badges and a gun. Dumb as all get out!
@@rooster1012No this is a Case of bias cops. And Prosecutor whose mind is already made up because of their bias mindset
More like armed extortion and persecution!

They are conditioning us into compliance. Have you ever looked up what a bystander society is?
Victimizing the victims, good job police.
The police are only following the laws that you voted for
There's no situation that police can't make worse
They get off on it
Par for the course in the US anymore...
Same old same old. Why do you think people want to defund the police
Terrible negligent policing. Sue them.
@@SuperStoner86bro you're still floundering...😄
@@SuperStoner86did you watch the video? The police took an easy way and arrested someone for what the person who stole his vehicle did. I believe one of three conditions exist:
1) you are one of the problem pigs
2) you are a boot liner to the problem pigs
3) you forgot to actually watch
Sue them, and do a bit of research on the law.
Put the Chief behind bars!
They issued a warrant with no description of the suspect? Just the car? Pretty shoddy justice system we've got
Who was the judge that SIGNED THE WARRANT, because they obviously are abusing their power and needs to be fired and charged for this
You assume the police told the judge everything. They probably told the judge that this car was used in a robbery and nothing else.
@@Shadavariathats still not enough. Just being the registered owner doesn't mean he was driving. Police should've showed proof THIS MAN did the robbery before being given a warrant.
Cops probably lied to the judge
@@jondoe406 That isnt the standard. If a judge is presented a sworn statement that the police have probable cause to believe he committed the crime, they will issue a warrant. All they need is the fact that his vehicle was present, that the clerk identified a black male of his age and height.\, maybe even a photo identification.
Let me guess? Judge Naumoff? If so figures. The Richland county prosecutors are highly untrained, they give them "trial dog" awards for having the most Felony convictions each year. If innocent, they will even withhold Exculpatory Evidence and collude with their court appointed attorneys to get you to cop out to a plea, they have hearings without people even present. I was maliciously prosecuted by Shelby PD Sean Nolen, and Adam Turner, Body Cam footage clearly shows I was targeted and a victim of bias policing. Asst. prosecutor Matt Metcalfe who is now the Chief Magistrate in the RC courts told them to charge me for abduction. My wife wanted to argue and I was tired of her threatening suicide and having to deal with the triangulating, projecting, trying to isolate me from everyone, was physically punching me in the face which I never once retaliated or hit her back. I told her I wasn't going to argue with her anymore and that I was going to leave. Offered her to stay at the residence (which is in my fathers name) and offered her my truck so she could get to and from her new job..She said she was going to sh00t herself and began opening her 9mm gun case. I said to her "don't you care about your Kid" she said " I don't give a f**k" " so I grabbed ahold of the case and took it from her. After I managed to secure it from her I continued to try and tell her to chill out, and she was being aggressive and pushing me as I was walking backwards through the hallway. I ended up sitting down and she walked out the back door and the neighbor took her to PD because she was walking down the street in the rain without her shoes and no coat. PD report says she "escaped and ran out" yet I had the wyze cam video of her walking out and down the street. I wasn't even aware that she was leaving, let alone going to the PD. I left. text messages from her said "I didn't get what I wanted, I wanted you here with me and not to leave" . I received a phone call 8 hours later from Bushey (Shelby PD officer, same officer who charged my wife with DV 11 years prior for threatening me saying "I'll sh0ot you in the F**king face and that's a thr3@t and that's a promise" which she was convicted of. She got pregnant by one of her multiple affair partners and I went no contact for 11 years til she messaged me asking to talk Aug 2021. I ended up caving and talked to her since we were still married yet we never crossed paths and spoke or seen one another since. She said she wasn't the same 19 year old and that she changed. I fell for it. Cops came in Sept when her and my mother got into it, I have no history of violence or anything. Yet she has an investigatory report from Willard Where she went into the Willard PD and said her boyfriend beat her up. I looked into it and he was never even charged, I contacted them by email asking about a few days ago still awaiting a response. When Bushey called me he said I was being charged for F3 abduction, that there was a warrant for my arrest and that the Marshalls were looking for me, that they didn't want anything "bad" to happen to me and that I needed to turn myself in. They didn't even ask me what happened. f**ked up is because I've lived in Shelby my whole life and they know me enough to know I am not violent. Officer Sean Nolen violated/neglected policy, must have been too entranced while feeding my wife lollipops and rubbing her arms. I contacted the prosecutors office and attorney and was told for 2 days that there were no charges and no warrant for my arrest. Shelby Municipal Court Clerk Shannon Small held a "Probable Cause" hearing, determined probable cause and issued a warrant on complaint. Clerk of Courts is Clerical and administrative, NOT JUDICIAL. my wife had tried to recant not even 24 hours later. Nolen said charges were already signed sealed and delivered. She went back the next day and said someone was lying cause there was no charges and no warrant for my arrest and demanded it be dropped again, and he said, No cause it's right here and I ain't dropping it. I was arrested at my residence April 20 2022, 16 days after the incident. They served an illegal search warrant on my fathers estate yet listed in the warrant that it was in my name and wifes... They were searching for any and all electronic communication devices that I and my wife used to communicate, had the charges listed as Abduction and Obstructing Justice. (Hm, so if they ignored the evidence, failed to investigate, even release multiple assault rifles handguns and shotgun and over 700 ends of ammunition to her (clearly showing they didn't do a Background check or even investigated at all.. which due to the firearms would be a violation of the federal gun control act of 1968.. Judge Studer, PB officer Dumbeck and Joseph Artip former Shelby PD now Ashland Pd and the same officer who fabricated the bogus search warrant shouted Shut Up at me at the preliminary hearing for trying to defend myself against the bold straight lie Officer Nolen said. He said to the judge that I tried to bribe my wife with he residence and my truck to stop charges. Yet she even wrote in her affidavit I offered her to stay there cause of her job and said she could use my truck. How did I bribe her if she wrote it in her report BEFORE charges were even made and before I was even aware she even went to the police station? She said she never said that I Held her against her will, she said THEY (Nolen, Turner) said that because they wanted to get me for a felony. They cut out the misconduct from the preliminary hearing recording where they Shouted shut up which I can easily prove (plus I've done recording engineering for 18 years, it's not rocket science to see it. It's funny they don't have video yet they live stream their city council meetings every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month. The law director Pled Not guilty to a hit and skip and OVI in 2017 which Judge Jon Schaefer accepted, yet recused himself from the driving without a motorcycle License and without helmet caused a conflict of interest. Really? Then he resigned "for health reasons" and appointed Sheree Studer Who's only competition for the election. GO FIGURE he kept his position as Law director, yet stepped down from the election, she remained a judge since. MAYOR Steve Schagg was also appointed by Marilyn John when she resigned to become representative of the district. These people are not Qualified to be in the positions they are in. Schagg had a chance to prevent all that happened but chose not to and pushed it off on Chief of police Combs. Chain of command = Mayor - Chief of Police - Patrolman. What I've experienced goes much further than that however I believe I have maxed character limit for comment
This is nothing but cops going above and beyond duty to show the public how incompetent they are.
They only care about the stastics. They arrested a person for the crime, thats all they care about
EARNING THE HATRED ONE BAD BUST AT A TIME.
They don't care about ruining black people lives
I was up there for work for a week. I was thinking if I ever had to move I'd go up there. Not anymore
@@toodeloowegotacall9049
Don't automatically assume this has anything to do with race. I've seen cases where people screamed race but the police who arrested them were Black.
The MAJORITY of Police are doing a great job, the media blows everything out of proportion, REMEMBER, no news is good news.
So just to be clear, that police department is falsely charging its citizens with crimes and IS ALSO not solving actual crimes. Its your city...
When have the police solved actual crimes lately?
@@mattbosley3531they are actually employed as revenue collectors similar to meter maids.
When people do their job for them or never
Two different departments. Sherriff Department arrested this guy and locked him up for days. Police Department just isn't investigating the stolen car report made by this guy.
But it gets worse than that. Police Department is apparently not posting on any shared information site that they are investigating that vehicle as stolen, or it would have shown up as stolen when the Sherriff Department ran the plate number. It's either that or the Sherriff Department completely ignored that the car was being sought as stolen by the local Police Department at the time of the theft. Either way is terrible incompetence and poor investigation by both departments.
@davidtherwhanger6795 finally someone understands
We are policed by idiots.
Like being arrested by the killer muppets
The worst part is that we let it happen and we are totally fine with that. Otherwise we would have something done with that.
Saying idiot cop is the equivalent to saying sweet sugar
But the people elect the people that hire these people.....
Three days in jail for being a victim of car theft. That's beyond stupid and the police should be embarrassed.
The police _should_ be embarrased, but they won't be, because they're shameless.
They are not. You have to have some common sense. They do not.
Get yourself a good lawyer, my brother. There is some SERIOUS bank to be made here. Sue all the way up the chain to the AG.
Qualified Immunity sadly the stupider you are the harder it is to punish you
At best the most they can sue right now is either the Police or the Sherriff's Department, and maybe both. But it will stop there as no other group has contributed yet. The DA could still drop all charges from the Sherriff Department's arrest. And unless the DA does go thru with a trial, you can't sue the DA as they have not done anything to them yet. Same for the AG.
Wrong @@KingPossum, they all have sovereign immunity and are covered by insurance.
In other words, We The People end up paying for their unprofessional incompetence!
If a $2000 bond was a serious blow; it’ll be hard finding a good enough attorney for all that. Maybe with this news story one will come to him pro bono
Qualified Immunity doesn't apply in civil cases IIRC, just criminal. That's why police and cities end up paying out settlements and the cops are still on the streets.
There is no way the DA will be able to prove that the owner is the person who committed the theft. He needs to sue.
Exactly. They have no proof. Warrant should've never been signed
@@jondoe406the only reason why it was signed probably is because cops probably lied to the judge told the judge that there was proof that the owner of the vehicle was the one that did it when they didn't really have proof they're known to be liers the are legally allowed to lie to you so who's to say they're not legally allowed to lie to a judge sadly America's starting to look more and more like Nazi Germany
@@jondoe406and I won't be surprised if the cops had a little bit of racism in them as well
It's called qualified immunity he will spend thousands and get nothing we are worse than Russia where a prosecutor can get prison time for falsely prosecuting someone
They can’t be bothered to actually investigate
💯
but they will investigate themself and find absolutely nothing wrong
Expecting a government official to do their job hahaha what do you think this is Russia where a prosecutor can get prison time for falsely prosecuting someone 🤔
Do any cops actually investigate anything anymore? L-A-Z-Y....Lazy!!!!!!
Another example of someone on the police staff not doing a good job investigating this situation.
@danthompson6067
Remember police aren't employed for their intelligence but the prosecutor is a trained lawyer and they are, yet somehow cases such as this proceed.
The irony is from the police point of view this is a case solved
So this poor guy has lost 3 days of work
2000 dollars
And probably some more cost before eventually they will drop the charges
All because of lazy incompetence police
Flat out, the arresting officer, and the entire chain of command above said officer should spend 10 days in jail. Further, the town should be required to pay the man $10,000.
So the police are basically saying this cat stole his own car then robbed a convenience store and then dumped his car a block away from his house!
🤔🙄
Before they admit they were wrong that's exactly what happened
You're forgetting the important parts--he _broke his own window_ just to rob convenience store of a few vapes /s
To steal some vapes!
So, the police did absolutely no investigation!
How in the hell did they get a warrant on this guy, just because his car was involved? Unless they have a video of the car owner and identified him in the store or something? They should have read him the warrant with the probable cause for the arrest when they took him into jail. That’s just lazy police work.
And an incompetent judge.
From the moment the vehicle was reported stolen, any thing involving that car should be set aside until they investigate TF out of it to ensure they know exactly who TF was in control of the car at the time. Anything else is failure to investigate, and, thus false arrest, kidnapping, and likely Assault and Battery, all felonies while in possession of a firearm, so life in prison for the perps who kidnapped this innocent man
Sue them morons that would piss me off they got a computer all they had to do was look it up and see that your car was stolen I would sue the s*** out of them being arrested for something you had nothing to do with and going through the process is humiliating
When the cops are sued, they don't pay anything. The innocent tax payers pickup the bill.
@@darrenconway8117 Yeah, but that's the way it is for everybody. If you sue a corporation, the shareholders pick up the bill. At the end of the day, it's not a big deal. The population of Akron Ohio is 188,500. So if this man sues and wins, say, $100,000, that works out to 53 cents per taxpayer.
@@Milesco There is a good chance they buy insurance to cover being sued. The premiums will go up every time the city is sued. The citizens pay the insurance through their taxes.
@@darrenconway8117 Yeah, but as I said, it's really very little on a per-citizen basis. And if the citizens have a problem with it, they can vote for different leaders (mayor, city council, police chief) who will properly manage the city's departments and employees and institute appropriate policies that prohibit and punish police misconduct so they don't get sued all the time.
@@Milesco Yes, but the cops don't care. They have qualified immunity and the protection of the blue line gang. A cop can commit a serious crime in front of other cops, and nothing happens. An ordinary citizen couldn't do that.
What incompetent clowns! Who runs that sheriff’s station?
The officers that were shown proof that the car was stolen and not in their possession should be charged with kidnapping, assault, theft, false imprisonment, filling a false report, and abuse of power.
I'm a former deputy sheriff, and it's amazing that other cops do such stupid schitt. Pathetic.
They are going to try to bully him into a plea deal instead of simply dropping the charges.
This is a slam dunk lawsuit... every store has security cameras.
Every time I think it can’t get any dumber,
I’m always wrong.😳🤦🏻♂️
Ignore public employee incompetence; you get incompetence.
It's so bad it's become criminal.
His lawyer smells a huge payday!
That seems to be the only thing that motivates most in the legal system.
The incompetence is bad enough, but the fat that they haven't dropped the charges proves malice. Sue them.
Well i guess the Man should count himself lucky that the parson that stole his car, didn't leave acorns in it! 🤣
Lol!!!!
Tyrants being tyrants.
You left out "low IQ, corrupt, self-important, and depraved sociopaths.
Another case of police taking action before performing an investigation.
That police department would find it exceedingly difficult trying to find their own butts in the dark, never mind a stolen vehicle and the person who stole it. This is beyond laziness, it is pure incompetence.
This guys need to file a lawsuit. Wow the Cops, DA and judge are completely out of their minds.!
You can’t make this stuff up .
Our justice is trash.
Another classic Kia Boy story. One lady saw her stolen car on the news involved in a murder.
Im sure they considered charging her with the murder too
Does the Police think this man damaged his own vehicle, to drive 1 hour away from Akron to Mansfield, to steal some Vape Pens 😂😂😂.
Get Real?
The couple reported the vehicle stolen before the alleged crime was committed.
Does the Sheriff also think that this couple concealed their own vehicle from Akron Police to report it stolen?
Just for the man to drive a hour away to steal vapes, lol😂😂😂
What?
further proof cops are not only lazy, but dumb as well
Exactly! If the Sheriff's department actually listen to what they're alleging, they'd hear sheer lunacy that makes no sense. But LEOs are perfect - they *_never_* make mistakes or do anything wrong. smh
You give them way too much credit. They aren't thinking at all.
Just proves exactly how aggressive cops are to get arrests and prosecute to keep feeding the cash cow
This is why I moved from akron and have not been back.
Sue the hell out of the city.
Homie has a real one for a significant other! She made sure her people ain’t riding on no Bull-ish!
Hogs brain power and police work are just amazing 🤔
Guilty until proven innocent.
And they investigate themselves with the same intellectual fervor! 🤣
Demons🤬
Poor work on the police investigation.
It will be dropped and he's getting paid.
There is No accountability in our government for incompetence. Which this is an obvious example.
Sue them and the store for false allegations if u lose ur job add that
The store only reported the car involved. It is the police that screwed up.
Arrested for petty theft??? Sat in jail for days and had to pay $2K to get out on bail? What kind of racket are they running in Akron? Where was the hearing before a judge?
Every convenience store in this country has cameras inside of it. These revenue agents are completely out of control.EVERY Police department in this country should be governed by a civilian board of taxpayers in the jurisdiction who not only have the authority to fire but to strip immunity and bring charges. It is absolutely unfair that taxpayers are held liable for the incompetence of those who are supposed to be serving them
Time for a lawsuit, and I hope you win!
🚫🧠 = lawsuit💰
Amazing that they throw a bond in a regular working man but a career criminals can walk in and out all week long and not spend a minute. This is what type of reform we want . Pitiful that cops care so less about getting it right that they wouldn't even consider it . I bet he doesn't get his money back either.
He will get his money back as the charges will be dropped. But you are correct that lazy cops would rather hassle good citizens than solve actual crime. Criminals are scary.
Slam Dunk Lawsuit
That's a good example of abuse of power and milicious prosecution!
Sue sue sue. 1 mil
Disgusting
DEFUND THE POLICE
Victim of criminals let out by the justice system, then victims of criminals with badges upholding the corrupt government.
Another example of law enforcement not doing their due diligence, again.
FTP
This is standard policing in the USA.
Something sounds fishy........
Adding this to boost. For crying out loud, the police victimizing the victim . Horrifying
I try to support the police but for the love of all that is good... They make themselves look like morons.
I think sometimes they don’t wanna deal with too much paperwork
Complete injustice!
Censorship of comments by 19 News to protect the police - Got it~! Shalom
Just absurd! They objective evidence that the vehicle was stolen and no evidence he was involved in any theft. Unbelievable!
The incompetence of government is astounding.
That's how you go to jail for murder all these people look the same to us.
This is what you call stupidity by the police.
Disband the police. So incompetent and corrupt that your car gets stolen, you file a report, have ample evidence, and instead they arrest you for a crime you didn't commit and throw you in jail for 3 days.
0:37 GUILTY!!!!
You Guilty
You GUILTY
YOU GUILTY!!!!
I hope he files a lawsuit and wins. Law enforcement is out of control all over the country with shoddy police work, abuse of power, and qualified immunity that gives them a license to harm people.
It would make about the same amount of sense to arrest the employee at the vape store for possession of the stolen car, because it was seen in their lot.
The Definition of Bad Lazy Policing! No Investigation just Arrest a man/victim! Looks like my man is gonna be moving into his Forever Home when he files the Huge Lawsuit
Why is he on a 2k bond for a couple of vapes? This is what constituents are talking about when discussing bail reform. On top of that if the crime warranted a 2k bond... why not pick him up at home? You literally have the registration address. Instead three months later on a traffic stop?
This makes me mad... Who TF signed the warrant? Who submitted the affidavit?
So.....he's responsible for EVERYTHING that happens to his car, even though it was stolen?? GTFOH
Sue them Lorenzo, sue them big.
Cha Ching, hope that brother sues the crap out of them
People are saying they didn't investigate, Its worse than that there isn't anything to investigate except the license plate and car. They needed that to get a warrant for this guy. That process alone would have red flagged the car as stolen. They knew the car was stolen and arrested him anyway. This is a clear case of knowingly arresting the wrong person. They need to sue them under the jail.
Unbelievable
Three days??!!! That is crazy terrible.
I hope they find a civil rights lawyer because that cop will get credit for bringing in someone to jail and the jailers will get paid. The DA will get paid and the judge will get paid. The only person that is losing out with respect to income, vehicle and lack of police help is this gentleman.
This is totally F-Up!!!!!!! No other words! Sue them!
Complete incompetence. What a surprise.
The officer and prosecutor should be arrested for malicious prosecution! And he should be able to sue them personally!
$500 million lawsuit. It's the only way they'll learn
This is our INjustice system in action, they don't care if they have the right person as long as they have someone doing the time or paying the penalties.
Pure incompetence in action. I never expect more from police.
Lawsuit for wrongful arrest.
Love to get an update. Great work
It only proves his phone was nowhere the crime
I hope they sue
Nice paycheck for false arrest
This is some quality policing. We are so lucky to have them.
🚨 *SUE AKRON* - I hate resorting to lawsuits but the Akron police needs to be held responsible for falsely charging, falsely arresting, and falsely incarcerating this man.
I hope he has an attorney that will go with him, show them the evidence, and then serve papers for a federal lawsuit against the police for not doing their job, arresting the wrong man, and making the police department an example of what happens when they don't do their job right.
Lawsuit
