I think the UFC doesn’t want Strickland as their champion, I think it’s all a set up. I think judges were told if it’s close give it to DDP. they did the same Shevchenko, she won that fight too

Bisping- it's funny you mentioned "what if" stories, saying what if Dricus and Izzy put on a close fight and they have to run it back... while completely ignoring the fact that Dricus and Sean put on a Fight of the Night performance, that was a split decision, where most people think (as per the polls) the wrong person won... Sean just fought (and won) last month- even though he should have received an immediate rematch, but you're saying Sean now needs to take ANOTHER fight to get back to the belt that most people didn't think he lost in the first place?!? The logic you're attempting to create is flawed at best.

This is the first time I've seen Dricus make a cowardly statement like that. Sean was (is?) the champion- he beat Izzy decisively. Sean lost a close split decision to Dricus that most people polled (including Dana White) thought Sean won. Typically, that would qualify for an immediate rematch. Sean didn't wait for an immediate rematch, he fought and beat Paulo Costa. Sean doesn't need to "earn" a rematch when most folks polled believe he won his 1st fight with Dricus. Dricus beat Whittaker soundly- no one is calling for that rematch. Everyone is calling for his rematch with Sean because they believe Sean won their first fight. Dricus saying Sean should take ANOTHER fight (before he's even defended once), is just him hoping Sean might get caught so he doesn't have to fight Sean again. This looks like Dricus just trying to make up excuses for why he doesn't want to fight Sean again...
Dricus is scared he will lose the belt back to Sean & that makes him look weak imo.
Rematches are pretty rare when a belt is exchanged with no defenses on it.

Sean is being prevented to be in title matches by the corporate interests that own UFC. They'd rather he quit.
Chandler is being put on hold for 2 years by Conor.
The fights we want to see are not being put together, because the UFC is permitting outside interests to interject their own opinions and the fighters are being allowed to pass on rankings matches.
Jones should have no say so in the unification match. He should be presented with the challenge and asked to participate with sincerity or forfeit the scheduled fight and the title.
The UFC is not a real league that respects ranks, rules, and reunification matches, it's an entertainment series that lets the players run the show and duck fights.

I'm neither excited nor let down by the state of affairs, as I said, they are all merely entertainment when not following rules or policies. As far as making my own MMA league if I am not happy, the same can be said about historical period piece movies or anything else for that matter. If you happen to think the most recent version of Pearl Harbor was inaccurate but looked great, then anyone and everyone is welcome to make their own version that is more historically true. It's just one of those things tat mathematically you can say about anything, so that thing is just crossed off and not said, shit like x1 in parenthesis in front of every integer. Only a real dumb-ass would really bring it up. We've seen the videos of the UFC PR meetings and the VP of that department taking Sean Strickland notes to her higher-ups, so it really has little to do with Wittaker. They have already demonstrated their position and resulting treatment twice. At this point, it's just a matter of how much will they will shit on the dining room table before X-mas dinner.

Everyone knows Strickland is not scared of Whittaker. Robert lost to Adesanya twice, lost to DDP. Strickland destroyed Adesana and the fight with DDP was very close.

Biggest crime here is that izzy even gets a title shot. All the claums about sean needing to fight are moot if izzy gets his shot off of a loss.
I think what Strickland means by 0-3 is that Whittaker lost all his fights with Izzy and DDP, while in his mind he won both those matchups (Izzy is obviously indisputable but I actually had DDP winning a very close one). I see why he would want to wait but the Whittaker fight just makes too much sense. He just doesn't want to have to take that risk before getting his next shot.

Whittaker isn't fighting on the Perth card, he said to Mighty Mouse that he's got a few wisdom teeth appointments at the dentist and he doesn't want to be a backup fighter for anyone.
I think we the people deserve the Robert vs Strickland because win or lose they are both still in title contention and this makes the most sense at this point in time with the belt already booked.

Strickland hasn’t beaten any top contenders outside of Izzy lol. The idea he deserves to be handed a shot is just silly after the performance Whitaker just had. Whitaker has beaten tons of top level MWs and his only losses in forever are to the two guys fighting for the title. Whitaker and Sean should fight and if Sean is scared then Whitaker should get the shot. Sean can go fight Khamzat if he is finally healthy by the time Sean is tired of sitting around not making money from fighting.

I think Whittaker is a harder fight for Strickland, just based on styles. At this level, it is certainly not 'fear', none of these guys are afraid of anything. Sean has a point, but sitting and waiting is putting others in control It probably would benefit him to stay active. If he fights and beats Rob, I would totally agree with him waiting for a shot.

Strickland won that fight against Dricus. The guy's face was battered. You got your opportunity and what Stricklands has been through. He deserves rightly the rematch.
